It's weird.  Sac isn't jumping at the chance to get JC for just a pick?

I know JC has a much bigger deal we want to get rid of but if we're bringing in Murray it would seem like we'd be a better team to send out Huerter and not JC.

Macdaddy I personally believe the Front office knows that the presence of Capela limits John Collins role in the offense, less touches and they feel like they can't justify paying Collins the 25 million that he's getting. Simple economics IMO. I don't think Travis knew that Capela would have this kind of negative effect on John.

IF the Hawks trade for Murray.

They should do a follow up trade to get Jonathan Isaac.  They should then let Isaac and JJ fight for the PF position.

They should also look hard at Grant Golden in SL for the third C spot.

I agree Diesel. I believe Jonathan Isaac can and would be a good fit for us. He checks every box for me. He's 6-11 and long and can play both forward spots, is a great perimeter and interior defender, has a decent perimeter game and he has a very manageable contract. Can you imagine a defense with Isaac, Hunter, Murray, and Capela(Preferably Ayton). Orlando has some decisions to make. Their roster is too full and probably won't have enough spots for everybody. I can't see them not starting Banchero because he was the first pick and he's playing for a rebuilding team. With Wendell Carter, the Wagner Brothers, Chuma, Bol Bol, and Isaac. I believe they will lose Mo Bamba (restricted free agent) and Lopez. That's a lot of people, not counting Terrence Ross, and all those backcourt players.

  3. I want Murray but we still need to have that 3pt. threat and that pick and roll with Trae and Clint if he's still here. It's imperative that we have a Power Forward with 3pt. shooting ability. If we trade for Ayton having another shooter might not be an issue at Power Forward.

It's the old 'opt-in, get my max, then demand a trade later' ploy.  Classic move.

Exactly. I hope we're not that team that trades all of there assets for him. He appears to be a great human being but I believe he's overrated. I don't think he's a #2 on a championship team. Definitely a #3 though.

  5. Travis has done a good job overall. He has brought excitement back to a dead franchise. He has a really good eye for talent and has drafted well. I believe he got John Collins and Kevin Huerter at 19. Making trades is my main issues. I believe he gave up too much to get Hunter but I understand that was his guy. Going forward, I need better results when he goes head to head with these other general managers/president of Basketball Ops people.

  6. I also agree Supes. Dejounte is a leader and a dog. I remember he got into it with James Harden. Harden got mad because Murray got up in his sheesh and stole the ball from him. Harden got in Murray's face and Murray shoved him away and let Harden know what time it was. That's the kind of 🐕 we need on this team.

  7. JeffS17, that is a good question. My target would be Jonathan Isaac from Orlando. He can defend on the perimeter and inside the paint, a good shot blocker who can shoot the three. Trades are usually harder when it's in the same division but Orlando has a lot of players on their team who need playing time. You have to start Banchero so we might be able to send Kevin Huerter and maybe a 1st or 2 seconds. He has an injury history like John Collins but he would add defense and legit 3point potential from outside.

  8. GameTime, that lineup would probably hold teams under 100 points per game or at least until the NBA and referees change the rules when the other teams start complaining.  I would personally want Ayton with this type of lineup because he can step out and make a shot and it would keep the lanes for being to clogged up.
