Name calling isn’t nice bud. KP is not a good perimeter defender at all, therefore is expected that a wing player SHOULD beat him regularly. He does have nice size and knows how to use his body, but him beating KP off the dribble doesn’t do anything at all to eliminate concerns about his ability to beat people off the dribble. I’ll tell you what...How about you show me some tape of him beating some other people off the dribble ?

You said he wasn't an NBA all-star you were wrong. Luka's game is being able to set up others, rebound at a high level, and attack mismatches he is quick enough imo to be an All star in this league with his high bball IQ. Nothing I show you will change your mind so I'm not gunna go back and watch more tape to show you specifics.

I’ve seen that. If he can’t beat KP off the dribble in that situation, he doesn’t belong in the NBA at all. KP is a 7’2” big who is not an All Star because of his defense. He’s not drawing match-ups like that in the NBA.

at 6'8" 230 he can bully smaller guys (actually backed down KP) and is clearly quick enough to beat bigs off the dribble. http://www.nba.com/allstar/2018/roster#/ You are just Ignorant he averaged 2.5 bpg but Luka finished because he is 6'8" and knows how to use his body.

My ideal draft is to get Luka Doncic at 3 and Elie Okobo at 19.  That's the Hawks back court of the future.  They would fit perfectly together.  Okobo is going to be more of a work in progress than Doncic, who will make an immediate impact in the NBA.  But by year three, those two should be running full speed.

My Ideal draft as well I also wouldn't mind Robert Williams if we end up moving up like the smoke suggests.

I wonder what they’ve seen that I haven’t and where it’s located at. I’m seeing the same things you are.

His Eurobasket highlight on youtube has him isolating Porzingis an all star level nba player and Luka making a basket over him and Luka driving right past KP.

I can buy Trae Young as a potential elite lead initiator on offense, so I would not mind him so much if they take him.  The downside with him is big though.  He's a player that will either be elite or a bust.  I don't see any middle ground for him.  If he works out, he's got the highest upside of any offensive player in this draft due to his initiating skills.  If he becomes a turnover machine and inefficient shooter who is jacking up bad shots, then he's going to be an overall negative for you.

There is no downside to JJJ.  He's going to be your defensive anchor, regardless of whether he develops his offensive skills further.

Steve Nash who he has been in touch with is a comp on the ceiling but could also see a Jimmer Fredette level burnout if his game doesn't translate right.

Wiggins is a step above replacement level.  Until he gets significantly more efficient scoring the ball and/or better on D he isn't very good.

Or a better work ethic reports coming out that KAT and Butler hate playing with him and Butler called him lazy.

Here is what I would do.

    #3 Marvin Bagley

Trade John Collins and Bembry to CHA for #11 and #55

    Trade T. Prince/19/#34 for Parsons/#4/#32

    #4 Mo Bamba

3 team trade: Orlando gets: #11/#30/#32

    ATL: #6, #14, Faried

DEN: Cleveland 2019 1st, Dennis Schröder

    #6 Trae Young

#14 Miles Bridges or Troy Brown Jr.

    Young

    Bazemore

    Bridges or Brown

    Bagley III

    Bamba

    Aye!

Lol r una wolves fan or? I won’t argue back n forth but we shall see. Bagley is legit.

I said Bagley could be an all Star in the right system. I have no problem to be honest with any of Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, JJJ, and Bamba as development will dictate how well all those rookies pan out as all have flaws no Anthony Davis's in this draft. Young scares me a little bit with the measurables and the fact there is a good chance he will never be a positive defender.

Marvin wasn't a bust in the sense of a bust. He had the 5th most productive career of his draft class. His issue is, CP3 and Deron had superior careers, especially CP3. Since he was drafted ahead of them, well... you know the rest. Marvin was athletic like JJJ, but hes not athletic like Ayton or Bamba and especially not Bagley.

Swift really isn't an elite athlete, when I think of elite athletes, i think of prime Rose, Westbrook, Jordan,  Shaq, LeBron. He was athletic like he can run and jump but he wasnt quick, fast, agile or nothing like that at least on an ATG level.

Beasley is known for his strength and skill. Not his athletic ability.

So, I don't understand your point. I actually had time to think about this one. Considering how insanely busy my day has been so far.

Bagley is closer to Beasley as a prospect than Jordan. Proven offense unproven defense there is absolutely no way I see Bagley like that. Maybe I'm gunna be wrong but 9 times out of 10 players never hit the ceiling you are talking about with Bagley. You are comparing his build to 3 of the top 10 players EVER which makes me hesitate alot (I said earlier in the right scheme Bagley can be an all-star).

It’s not like I’m comparing the careers of both players here brainiac. I’m just say there is a certain mystique about Marvin and his heralded basketball career than resembles Jordan’s.

Ayton seems to be Akeem in this draft and Bagley is Mike and hopefully falls to #3 like Mike...

If I could be like Mike I wanna be I wanna be I wanna be ..

    like

    mike..

(hated that dumb commercial as a hawks fan..I wanted to be like Nique F all that..)

OOOOOH so Michael Beasley, Marvin Williams, Derrick Williams, Stromile Swift how many uber athletic tweeners busted out of the NBA.

Lol.  I know.  Doncic, Bridges, and Brunson have probably proven more championship pedigree than anyone else in the draft and I'd still hold off making such a bold statement about them.

His reasoning was funny to me as well tbh lol. Because he is an Uber athlete tweener (never seen those bust before).

Zhaire Smith is a SG. We need a SF

we need young talent regardless of position imo we do need a long term 2 and Baze is a great guy for Zhaire to learn under. Regardless you think Kent is a more long term answer at the 2 than Prince is at the 3?

It's not out of the ordinary. If you watched MJ, he was a great college basketball player but everyone knew Hakeem was the man. In the NBA, no one had a position for MJ. He was talking playing some SF, some point guard. SG at that time was strictly for shooters and scorers who can shoot. MJ changed the game. You can't help but think of the type of impact Marvin can have on the game. He might never be MJ or maybe he will or better but I know one thing, I won't count him out.

Comparing any rookie to MJ is ludicrous you are underrating MJ if you believe anything else...

You know I am going to be pissed and you know I am going to never let it go. You should know that already.

Alright I'm gunna throw you a scenario. JJJ is the Hawks pick and goes pts 12, reb 7, 2 blk 35%+ from 3 75%+ from the line as a rookie. Would you be willing to eat your words?

Oh . . you're one of those types huh?   You never saw me mention anything about race in my post.  Harden is a significantly better athlete . . because he's a significantly better athlete.   I've been watching and playing basketball for over 30 years.  LOL . . I've played against NBA level athletes.   His skin color has nothing to do with it.    Doncic athletic comparison is much closer to JJ than it is to Harden.   And as I said before, that's not a bad thing.

I played against Kobi Simmons and Malik Beasley to name a few js lol...
