  1. uh oh... Hoopshype says about Drobnjak.. "not a good defensive player" doh! What happened to BK's team blueprint of D-E-F-E-N-S-E? Drobnjak trade downgraded to from good to neutral
  2. the good: He's a fine free throw shooter He doesn't make much and can be traded if need be the bad: He can't rebound Like Meatloaf said, "2 out of 3 ain't bad"
  3. Whatever happened to Mamadou N'diaye? On a per-minute stat basis, his play was similar to Przy
  4. forget Skita. He's soft and plays no defense. We need to keep with Billy Knight's program of long-armed athletic defenders.
  5. No!! 2 guys named Harrington 2 guys named Smith 2 guys named Josh that's too confusing..
  6. We need to stick with the program, i.e. stockpiling long-armed athletic players who can defend. Diaw is a keeper for at least 2-3 more seasons.
  7. PG Diaw 6'8" 215lb SG Childress 6'8" 210lb SF JSmith 6'9" 210lb PF Harrington 6'9" 250lb C Walker 6'9" 245lb Don't know if this lineup could win, but it would be fun to watch five guys who are all 6'8" or 6'9" Of course, Walker is a little small for Center, but he is a very good rebounder. He played some Center for Dallas last year and pulled down double digit rebounds in 27 games. If Walker is good enough to start at Center in the Western Conference, he can be respectable in the East. Diaw, Childress, and JSmith are fine rebounders and Harrington's not bad either. Diaw & Childress can help on the boards with their long wingspans and JSmith will simply jump over people. How would you like to be a 6'2" guard trying to drive the lane against this crew?
  8. Hawks trade Tony Delk & Chris Crawford to Cleveland for Jeff McGinnis & Desagna Diop McGinnis is better at playing PG than Delk and he scores a little more. His contract expires at the end of this year, so get get more cap room for 2005 if we don't want to bring him back. Crawford has no future in ATL. Trading him now frees up playing time for Josh Smith and DD gives us depth at center, our weakest position. DD is foul prone and has no offensive game whatsoever, but he is young and could improve. In my mind, he's about the same as Prys except he's not injury prone. Lets take a one year look at DD and see what he's got. His contract also expires at the end of this year. With Eric Snow on board, the Cavs don't have much use for McGinnis. DD has done nothing for them so far.
