  1. The game wasn't lost because Vick was injured, the game was lost because of the team's emotional letdown following the big Monday night win combined with questionable playcalling by Greg Knapp. Why do you keep trying to run the ball against an 8 man front? Why not run some play action, slant patterns, etc.....the offense's inability to get a 1st down tired out the defense in the 1st half because they stayed on the field too long, thats how they gave up 21 points...when the offense moved the ball a bit better in the 2nd half, the defense got a shutout.
  2. I don't see BK trading Chill or Marvin...not many players in the league I would trade Marvin for because he is on his rookie contract and at the same time he is undervalued because he hasn't proven anything in this league yet...Let him prove himself first. Some people are thinking he is a bust before he has even started the preseason, wow..
  3. I think there is no question that Moss is the best WR in the league, and TO is the 2nd best, Harrison 3rd. (imo on the last 2) For Hall's credit...it was bend and don't break Tampa style defense from the corner position. The ball was thrown TO's way 19 times, or 40% of the time or thereabouts....only 7 completions, sure he got 112 yards but he kept TO out of the endzone, he frustrated TO by jamming him at the line of scrimmage and he absolutely nailed him in the open field so his YAC wasn't as great as it usually is. In TO's career that is hard for a team to keep him out of the endzone, and the Falcons did it largely due to Hall
  4. Usually when a guy is a bust, a lot of scouts are right and see it while the majority like the guy....IF Marvin is a bust, they will all be wrong except maybe 1 or 2.
  5. I've offered to trade Daunte for Kerry Collins. Stupid move? what you think... I think if Kerry stays healthy he can put up some yards and touchdowns with Porter+Rice...he'll have to because that Raiders D is lousy.
  6. Cool Chillz! I'm excited I think its going to be a good , close game
  7. I Hope Diaw does well but I was already hearing reports about Diaw playing as he did in the games this report is describing. Unfortunately it didn't translate into our summer league that well this year and during the regular season this year and last year. I wish him well in Phoenix but he is going to have to prove it on the court as he has reportedly in France here in the USA , now with Phoenix. I don't expect him to blow up offensively but just to become a more useful role player. He could still become a Bruce Bowen type of guy and that is the type of guy that could win a championship but he is never going to be the type of player Joe Johnson will be for us, so since we probably have the best player in the trade, still a good deal for us. So Au revoir Boris Diaw I wish you well and welcome to ATL JJ.
  8. Just wonder if anyone going to be near me....I was only able to get one ticket, I'm at Upper C Gate, Section 333, Row 5, Seat 4.
  9. I sure am glad I dropped McNair from my fantasy team and picked up Jake Plummer as the backup QB. Jake had an alright day today. Gonna be a long year for the Titans.
  10. yep. Thats why I'm starting Wiggins for this week. I really hope Gates is back in Week 2 because I need him in there. I upgraded backup QB, got Jake Plummer to replace Steve McNair. I don't think McNair will stay healthy enough to improve his stats enough... I made the move, getting Rod Smith to start at WR over Michael Clayton.... Fred Taylor unavailable no better RBs available... btw yahoo did my draft for me while I was out..
  11. QB Daunte Culpepper MIN WR Michael Clayton TB WR Donald Driver GB WR Eric Kennison KC RB Jamal Lewis Bal RB Curtis Martin NYJ TE Je Wiggins MIN BN C. Brown RB Ten BN Ro. 12. I don't think so because of the way they win their games in the Super Bowl and regular season. Most of the time they just win without dominating opponents. Last night wasn't a good test for them because that defense of the Raiders is absolutely horrendous I doubt it will end up in the top 20 in the league when this season is over and Kerry Collins is not his former self.
  13. 23-14 over Auburn. Very nice win and other recievers stepped up besides Calvin. Reggie looked poised didn't turn it over and defense created turnovers with the game on the line. Could be a great year for both UGA and GT! Every year I wish they were undefeated going to face each other.
  14. The gas prices aren't a big deal to me. The situation in New Orleans is more important.
  15. Sometimes the truth is unacceptable to people.
  16. Another job for Halliburton. Just wonderful.
  17. Thats exactly why I back him up. I'm a Falcons fan all the way. Until the league says it is illegal or punishes Gibbs I'm all for it Good thing you just want to talk about Gibbs, because the Dolphins offensive line coach has a lot of work to do to keep Frerotte on his feet. Falcons backups were getting to him with ease! I thought you said the offensive line had improved , I can just imagine what they had looked like before! lol!
  18. I only give it to Albert if Andrew doesn't lead the league in both HR and RBI. If Andruw leads the league in HR and RBI as well I think he would/should get the MVP because of considering his defense and the lack of help he had in the lineup compared to Pujols.
  19. Georgia Tech. I think Calvin Johnson is the best college WR in the country and Reggie Ball should be more consistent this year.
  20. I agree Hotlanta. I admire when concern and compassion comes through, but it comes through from the people on the ground, from the families of the people who have been stricken and from people in churches and people aren't tied by money to them. The insurance companies only see dollar signs, they will gain substantially from this afterward by raising rates, etc, not to mention they will get kickbacks from FEMA as well. A lot of corporations are seeing dollar signs on the rebuild. Creative destruction is a big part of our great capitalist economy. The Federal Government also sees a chance to take over the oil field reconstruction (likely handing it over to Halliburton, the same company that gained from Iraq) and then handing it to those who paid the right politicians for the right elections.
  21. Warrick and Ronnie Brown NEED to split time, because with that terrible offensive line one of them would get killed if they had to go full time. They also need a QB, why don't they get Kordell Stewart?
  22. Mora sort of semi-called him out by saying to Dan Patrick the other day on his show that he wants a reciever that can catch the "50-50" ball, that is a ball that could be had by either DB or reciever, which the reciever grabs. Jamie Dukes said on 680 that Peerless may have contributed to 7 of Mike's 12 interceptions by having ball go through his hands or failing to just knock it away when he could have. Mora said Roddy is a guy that can catch the "50-50" ball like TO and Michael Irvin could / can. Also Peerless hurt the falcons in their run scheme because he doesn't block. He almost got Mike killed on one particular play last year where he let a corner come clean at Mike, it was his assignment. Reciever out there that can block can open things up for Warrick in the secondary as well.
