  1. So here's the matter.

Bud was smart enough to not get caught. Evidence is gone unless there is a witness.

If said witness comes fourth and say that there's no way that he wasn't drunk...

    Do the Hawks Fire him?

It depends. is Integrity a component of this "change the culture"?

  2. Please do elaborate...

Well, I guess a lot remains to be seen but signing an aging guy half across the globe with not impressive numbers in an inferior league instead of a know commodity as well as fan favorite gives me pause. This culture change thing feels coded and vague. I was very comfortable with Zaza and Ivan. I don't get Antić. Perhaps he will deliver what is needed. I believe Ivan will be even better given consistent minutes.

And where is "Nique in this culture? He has been absent and silent.

  3. much better than most suspect. It is interesting to hear and read ideas of their demise. This team has Loads of talent. In fact they have the assets of being a dynamic team.

A look at their forwards: Bass, Green, Humphries, Wallace and Sullinger. All Five can start in most and many teams. While Bass, Humphries and Sullinger are best suited at the 4, Green can do both 3/4. With Wallace at the 3, Brooks and Bogans can swing from 2 to 3.

There is no shortage at guard talent (except backup point) with Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley, Jordan Crawford and of course Rondo.

The question is center where they are young and inexperienced. I believe Ainge being the active master trader will remedy this.

If I may be Ainge, a Bass, Humphries and Bogan trade to Houston for Asik and Lin. This trade would have them challenging for the East top spot.

    Don't sleep on these guys.

  4. I don't think Muscala makes the team and Bebe is probably staying overseas.

Muscala is a good player. Cunningham has some game and very athletic. Mack can be a quality backup. Allow Dennis and Bebe to get some seasoning in the D-League.

  5. I don't think we need to bring back Mack just for him to steal minutes away from Dennis. He needs all the minutes he can get to develop.

Right now and most likely this season, Mack is better than Dennis. Allow Dennis to develop in the D-League as well as Bebe.

  6. Brand said other good teams were courting him but he chose ATL because of Ferry and what he is trying to do. Said we will be as good as those teams that were courting him with his help.Korver chose us over othersBrand chose us over othersMillsap chose us at a bargainSources indicated we were the team Paul was interested in if he left LA (DOC ruined that tho)Lou chose us at a bargain last yearWe are beginning to be desired, no matter what the haters may say...the culture is changing, and this before we even play the season with BUD as our coach and smoove gone

I really do like the signings, I wish we had Zaza, Ivan and Asik for Josh. I hope Bud is a very good coach cause Drew Is. Aside of Jenkins and Scott, who from the summer will play at Philips? Muscala, Mack and Cunningham I suppose. That would make 11. Make that 12 I forgot about Carroll.

  7. Problem number one, Atlanta doesn't love Atlanta. We are fickle, we are separated. Part of the dislike is racist another part is indifference (just here to make money). The sprawling burbs have their local loyalties with much not care of anything inside I285. Splash this on a highly transient, transplant population.

  8. Josh is right; we had nobody to even send to recruit Dwight Howard. Josh has won the same thing Nique has. Even the beloved Mutombo went to bat for another franchise . . .

And 'Nique wasn't there. He must not be a part of this "Culture Change".

  9. I love Drummond more than anybody, but how can y'all say they're in a better position than us? They have fu@kin Josh Smith on their team:http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1695770-detroit-pistons-sign-josh-smith-make-worst-move-of-2013-nba-free-agency

The difference between Josh and Milsap is 5-6 million a year. The difference between a good player and a very good player. Josh led the Hawks last year. Without him we would have ping-pong balls in the draft.

  10. I like Al, but Al does not have superstar potential. In fact Josh has more talent hands down. If Josh decides to he is a superstar. But deciding to is play towards the rim and not the jumper. Al is very good but will not be a superstar.

  11. I'm just saying...what is the BEST we can hope for THIS year? Bynum. Next year? Millsap, Korver, Lou, Horford all locked up...and you know he's not done. That will likely be the team. Ceiling next year?

I mean, Bud could be a miracle worker and Danny Ferry may be a wonder GM and knows better than all of us. He might get Monta and Bud turns him around. Al Horford might...have a true post game and produce 27PPG and 15rpg, every game, because he's depended on.

    We could surpise people.

It's just not a bet I would have made. We will see.

    Wow, pass that around!

  12. That's the part people don't get.

    1) Danny Ferry is not interested in the lottery.

    2) Millsap = not a loser, Horford = not a loser, Korver = not a loser They are all talented and there are more "not a loser" moves to come

    3) Miami, Indiana, NY, Brooklyn, Chicago are all playoff teams. That leaves, worst case scenario, 3 playoff spots for the East. Which of these three teams is better than us: Boston, Milwuakee, Philly, Toronto, Detroit, Washington, Cleveland, Charlotte, or Orlando?

We are going to the playoffs. Barring injury, or a TOTAL meltdown, lottery is not going to be an option now or for the next 2 seasons at least.

    Washington passes us and Milwaukee.

  13. Bud, having been a coach for these guys know them and what they are

capable of. Also, he is probably going to use the same type game plan

that he had in his previous job..

Larry Drew probably will too. If Milwaukee clowns us and gets Teague for Jennings the laughing league wide will be even louder.

  14. Do you remember when your child was in little league for the first time. Whatever the little league was. You would go to the game and watch them make all kind of mistakes but you would still cheer because they were your child and you believed that they would get better with practice.

That's what Watching Danny Ferry GM this team makes me feel like.

So.. yeah, we missed out on Paul and D12. OK.. what's plan B...

    1. Sign Millsap. *YUCK

    2. Sign DMC the alltime great. OK.. We got some grit here... I like this guy.

    3. persue a RFA C who we have no chance in getting (Wait a minute Danny Boy).

    4. Lose Josh and Zaza... (well, we espected Josh but Zaza... Damn Danny Boy).

    5. Have "serious talks" with Senor chuck... Monta Ellis (WTF Danny Boy).

    6. Talk trading Teague for Jennings (Danny??!??!????)

    7. Persue a guy with a bad leg who missed a whole seaosn and won't work out..... WHAT??????

But we are "Changing the Culture"!!
