there is no need to worry, This is summer league(the first game at that) Atleast marvin is becoming a little more aggresive and playing with a little more fire! Sounds like he is growing up and ready to be a star in this league. We know he has the skill now all he needs is the drive to succeed.

AJC I thought this was a very good article. This is a great sign for both the team and Stoudamire. I would like to know how many of yall think, that with time, he could be are starting point guard?

if this team believes that they can win that may give us at least 10 or so more wins. i think you will see a diffrent team on the floor from a confidience standpoint and a desire to win. It is great to see this kind of confidence from an incoming player. He said we can make some noise next year which in my book means make a run at the playoffs. I think he will have a breakout year. this may not mean much to some of the other people on this board but this makes me feel even better about getting him. Go hawks!!

Now that we have heard some good news with the court ruling what does everybody think the deal will be with Al. Which team and for who/what do we trade harrington for? I would like to pry ellis and an unprotected first from GS! What does everybody think will happen?

That is how i have always looked at shelden. A ben wallace with more game. Now if he ever lives up to that i dont know. If he does we will be in the playoffs very soon. He has always played great offense at duke,but we have seen many college players flop. I dont see that happening to him just b/c he has to much drive and desire to win. This is a great comparision.

this guy is stupid for saying that speedy will be no good b/c he is a career backup. Well if i remember correctly when we brought over Al he had just come off his 6th man of the year award. he had been a career backup when he came here and now he is about to get a huge pay raise. this guy is completly lost!! just give me a bunch of first rounds picks in next year draft for AL and i will be happy.

All of you have made great points. i am glad to find some people that dont want him b/c i think his lack of talent and huge contract make him garbage. He has been in the league long enough to prove himself and he has yet to do so. Heck he is a project that has been in the league for nearly five years and he is still a project. People say we need his D but i thnk are frontline of shelden and josh smith will make us a great defensive team. Just say NO TO TYSON!!!!

Thank god You could have not said it any better. Tyson would just clog up minutes and hold off the future stars we already have if he came to atlanta.

what will be are starting line up be next year? Since i am new to the board i am currious to see where many of the people on this message board stand on the starters and back up players next year. Does shelden come off the bench or start? does he play PF or center for us? Who will be the point guard left out? Can we make the playoffs? thanks for any replys, b/c i am curious on what people think compaired to what i have read on other message boards.

Tyson is just going to take away from are young guys minutes.They are the future of this team and the future is the 2006-2007 season.

tyson has not much of an offensive game. PPG 5.3 | RPG 9 | BPG 1.3 That does not impress me at all. Shelden will put up way more than this if he plays center. I would have to pass on tyson. I say we just stack up with as many first round picks for next year as possible
