  1. I know this is kind of a useless thing to bring up, since it's all in the past now and not much that we can do to fix it, but I think it was a huge mistake to not go after Brevin, not only is he one if the most efficient point guards in the league at running a team, but he also showed that he can be a great mentor. I don't know how much of Raymond Felton's development you can attribute to Brevin, but I would say it's safe to say the he learned at least a thing or two from Brevin.

As it stands we have Lue mentoring Law. I don't think I need to reiterate why this is a bad thing. Now, this is not to say that Law won't become a good PG because he doesn't have an adequate on the court mentor... that would be ridiculous; but it's a shame that we didn't bring in anyone who could teach him a trick or two about how to be a good pass first PG. Maybe if the Clips are out of contention by the trade-deadline and Livingston comes back we could be able to package a deal to bring Brevin home. I really do think he is the best Mentor/player available right now.

  2. I wish I could get Leaguepass... but the only version of it available here (Mexico City) shows 2 games a day. Guess what the chances are that one of those games is a Hawks game? yeah, exactly.

At least now I can listen to the games on a radio stream frown.gif

  3. Dude. We run no plays for anyone except JJ. (and we only have a couple for him) The reason he is inconsistent is that all of his points come from transmission or put-backs. Until we get a coach that can add 1 + 1 without the use of an abacus, we will have inconsistencies in our offense, and Chill will be part of those inconsistencies

  4. We could run the play that Cleveland ran with Lamond Murry and Wesley Person. They ran two curls on oppossite sides of the keys and one of them was open all day. (Andre Miller was able to set a career high of 11 assists that year, just by them running that play over and over).

Have Horford and Smoove set picks on JJ and Marvin and have them both curl... they are both deadly mid-range shooters... I don't know why we don't attempt this, or other stuff like this. Woody is like a 2 year old with a brand new X-box.

  5. If woody knew how to coach J-Smoove wouldn't have the ball at the wing with 2 seconds left on the shot clock every other posession in the fourth... I know Detroit is a good defensive team and it's tough to get good looks against them... but if JJ is getting denied why do we waist 20 seconds of the shot clock on Lue pounding the ball waiting for JJ to come free? We could run a curl to Marvin who was shooting lights out... but alas; Woody the "rainman" Woodson had other thoughts.

  6. Yeah dude, I know the exact shots you are talking about. And then on the other end Rasheed is getting the roll and Jarvis Hayes is making shots he has never made in an NBA game before. What can you do?

(what a brilliant move to put Lue on Hayes. Saunders must have popped a boner when he saw that match-up)

  7. Josh is streaky on Offense... his defense was huge, and sinking three free-throws with 16 seconds when you are a lifetme 70% free throw shooter is as clutch as it gets... Seriously this happens every year, Josh Smith and Childress start off slow and everybody wants their heads... relax and wait for them to find their groove. I mean damn... we were in control of this game until Joe had to sit for 7 straight minutes.
