Hawks summer league team sounds exciting, doesn't it !!

Just look at the potential roster !

Yea!  Dude!  It's basically our whole team!  It'll be like watchin the regular season, only early.

I don't believe anything Schlenk says. Less than a month ago he said Dwight had a spot on this team. I consider him a typical old school GM. Take anything he says to the media with a huge grain of salt.

I feel like he needs some experience speaking with the media.

As long as his basketball decisions are sound, I don't mind him outting his foot in his mouth a couple times.

No chance in hell does Schlenkholzer role out a 3rd string C and a 3rd string PF as our C corps. They're retooling, not tanking. No deal. Care to wager?

    Schlenkholzer.... hehe.   I like it.

Knowing that Germans love compound nouns, we could probably do one better.  I present to you; Budenschlenkenholzer.

    Nice gloves, tho.

Seriously though, I really think Patton is gonna be the pick.  Must've wow'd them in his workout.  We've heard little about it.  Only thing that's happened since then is Howard being traded.  I highly doubt they'd set themselves up to start a rook from day 1 so Plumlee's the bridge.

Probably a good thing I cant actually see gifs in this app....

  5. If I'm coming off as saying I believe this is an upgrade then let me correct that right now as I don't think this is an upgrade. But if Dwight was actually a locker room and on floor cancer then simply cutting him out IS an upgrade, regardless of whom we replace him with.

I appretiate the optimism but I don't share it in this case.

I guess this is where we are going to be over the next few years as we rebuild. Trying to find the upside in the dregs of the NBA. Grumble, grumble, mrfff...

  6. Lol what? Moose is absolute garbage at anything but the occasional 3 and making the fire in @JayBirdHawk's pantsuit with his man bun. I swear that kid literally has no balls. Plumlee would put his schnuts all over Moose and Moose would probably thank him for it.

Well, I can't speak for the sexual prowess of Moose as well as you can.

It doesnt change the fact that Plumlee is terrible. I mean, thats great if the Hawks are trying to tank but there's no way anyone can rationalize this as any sort of upgrade.

  7. Am I crazy to think that he can't be a lesser rebounding but more cerebral and harder working Dwight Howard for the half season that he'll be healthy?

You've lost your mind Dolf. Plumlee is terrible. Moose is better.

  8. Their is talk that the warriors are considering trading klay Thompson and if that's true, this could be the perfect time for Hawks and GM Travis Schlenk to jump all over this asap. Warriors what to sign both Curry and KD to max deals this offseason and wants to keep Green bc of his  defense and rebounding triple double abilities over klay and  of  course the luxury taxes they will  Old  an future. The Hawks have the picks and some young players with good  contracts to be moved for Warriors to save money. Ex gm  new gm helps out each other perhaps. What do u Hawks fans think?

I dont think the Hawks have the right assets to make the trade. In other words, I think the Hawks value their young players and picks too highly.

  9. Below is a comment from Quin about specifically helping DMC at shoot arounds after practices. In DMC's last year here he complimented and thanked both Quin and Korver for helping him develop on offense in the other article.

Korver would make a great shooting coach. I dont think he's ready to stop playing though.

  10. As this year's draft approaches, here are some things that I hope

that our drafted players will be qualified to do:

1- Walk and chew gum at the same time.

    2- Have a basketball IQ above 7.

3- Have enough speed to get from one end of the court to the other.

4- Not believe he knows more than the Hawk's coaches.

With all that said, seriously I hope all players drafted here are able to

shoot and hit, both from 3 point range and from the free throw line.  Please!

I hope they have the talent to hold on to the ball and not be a turnover machine.

I hope they know what a rebound is and have the ability to grab a few.

I hope that they have enough speed, quickness to move and not do what

I did when I was young - - Step on their own feet and fall.

I hope the have size too. The Hawks have been under sized for years now.

  11. Exactly what I see and hear as well. We aren't a Philly complete tank team. We are more of a Rockets opportunistic pounce on a trade or free agent after saving up team.

I can see Schlenk turning mad cheap and saving a lot of money to become flexible. God I wish we did this last year so Schlenk would avoid Dwight and Baze. We panicked on those signings cuz of stupid ass Alice Horbag.

The Hawks signed Baze and Dwight before Horf bolted. Management should have held of on Baze until they came to terms with Horf. Anyway, no use rehashing it at this point.
