Interesting... always thought Perkins was a 7 footer for some reason. Maybe it's the way he plays.OKC has no 7 footers.

Need Horford back for playoffs or it'll be a first round exit.
-
Looks like they have good chemistry and a complete team. They have shooters, good perimeter defender, 2 allstars, good defending 7footer. Good bench.
-
Haven't watch alot of Hawks lately but I think Teague is a bit adequate right now. Doesn't have good court vision which is noticeable on fast breaks.

Looking for a win. Keep exploiting the switching.

or some ticketsLet's hope one of us hits the lottery and buys the team.

Agreed. The jumpers with Josh is like a habit now. Easy to get into but hard to get out.
-
Looking to see if they can at least stay competitive w.o Horford against the top teams.
-
Smith would have been a lock if he took less jumpers. I wish he could see that.
I felt the same. Especially those long 2 pointers but I think the impact Josh have on the defensive side should have put him on the all star roster.
I've seen two people on this thread who have said they don't think Josh is worthy but even they didn't say they wanted him not to make it. I think the vast, vast majority of people on this site would like to see Josh make the game and pick up a few good pointers from being around the other All-Stars. Plus, Josh has the potential to make some very exciting plays in an All-Star setting if he tries to dunk the ball and swat shots.
Yeah I like to see him swat one of Griffith's dunk.

LOL i predicted 3-2 with loss to Spurs and this Toronto game...please let me be wrong about that
I thought the Hawks will mail in a game against one of the lesser opponents but looks like LD got them prepared well.

Teams with a PF that can make the threes and stretch the court can be a pain to the Hawks. It'll either draw Josh out to his man (and let the other team get layups) or draw Josh in the paint (usually happens most) and let his man on an island. Popavich knows this but haven't seen LD counter it.

Smoove can be an exciting player when he matures and play within his limits.
Ok, that could means never, but he can be exciting to watch sometimes.
-
All road games so it's going to be tougher than normal. Bucks seem to cause trouble to the Hawks so I could see that being down the wire. SA is old but they're resilience. 3-2 is good.
-
Nothings wrong with his jumpshot. He's trying to be more of a distributor. I know it's a bit foreign to what you're used to as a Hawks fans.

Ryan is not a great QB. He does the right "things" like manage the game (like throw the ball away on 2nd and 10 when someone breath down his throat or chases him---doesn't take risk that other great QB do), but the Falcons need to build an elite defense to win in the playoffs. Getting Julio and forgoing all those draft picks will bite them in the rear end.

Josh Smith miss one steal for a 5x5 statline.
Marvin injured again after a good start to the season. Deja Vu?

His stroke looks different. Maybe he shortens it because he plays with midgets? I'd like to see he continue to bring that stroke to the NBA games.

I'd be surprised if any teams hire Woodson after witnessing the abomination vs the Magics. A big market team like NY would presumably want a coach with a pedigree.

Somehow when I'm browsing the page (going up and down), the page slows down a bit. Didn't have a problem with other site or old message board and my computer's pretty new.

He looks like he scoot back a bit on the home plate to adjust to the inside pitches... now he has problems catching with the outside sliders and high fast ball. He just need to get his spot back and hit the inside pitch better by getting a lot of practice.
With Constanza recent surge though it should help Heyward getting some rest and working on his swing so he can be a factor come playoff time.

Wow. Braves win on a terrible call. From some angles, it does look like he might have missed the tag but the angle the ump had was very clear. I think that call will overshadow the fact that the Brave's offense has trended back to atrocious. I swear, Alex Gonzales and Nate Mclouth(who needs to yell at himself more than umps for being a joke of a hitter) need to be benched or traded, period! These guys are are barely better than a average pitchers hitting ability. Now McCann is out however David Ross is a pretty dang good backup. Barring a trade, we could see the Braves slip out of the wild card lead pretty soon.
Wished the Braves still have Escobar. That was an idiotic trade by the new GM. Get a bit safer on defense but lose OBP and a presence at the plate.

I actually think Wood will do good in Minny.
Wood will do good.
They need a defensive identity. I think he can point them that way.
Basically switch on every play and hope for the best.
Braves open like they finished last season

Need a lineup change. I don't think McCann is good enough for the 3rd spot.
