I'd much rather keep Millsap than bring Horford back if it comes to that. Millsap should have been All NBA last season. That is how damn good he is.
Yeah, but the knock on Paul: he is horrible in crunch and big moments.

Quick, somebody text Al Tommy Heinsohn's quote.

That's a poor shooting team though.
and Moose / Edy won't cut it.

If Korver is starting next year, we are in trouble.
-
Remember we started the year with Lamar Patterson and Holiday in the rotation. That's not a team looking to get over the hump.

I have been preaching this since the off season. What team goes to the ECF and then does not load for bear the next season. We can't get a a superstar, I get that, but you can improve your bench if you give a damn.

Thabo should not start on any team. Face it, no matter who you put on Lebron he is going to get his, the key is to limit Kyrie, Smith, Love and the rest from 3 and to rebound.

Many believe Kirk was brought in as injury insurance, but Bud may have anticipated the playoff shrinkage from Dennis. If he doesn't play better Tuesday, he may not play many minutes on the road.

Careful, I've pointed this very thing out before and nearly got ran out of town for it...
I'm not sure how good the bench stacks against some starting 5s, but it is great to see players like Hinrich, Humphries, Hardaway playing in garbage time.

That would help. He could fit nicely here.

At the very least, please sign Jason Thompson; so I don't have to watch Millsap play center.

I think this is probably the least thing unless GS comes calling. Joe is not going to make Cleveland or OKC a championship team. Not as long as the Warriors are still playing. What Joe would do is sign with a team that has no fight for PT at the position he wants to play and enough say to resign next year. That's us. The only thing that would take him to Cleveland is his friendship with Lebron.
But why go to Cleveland and be a seldom used Richard Jefferson II... when you can come back to Atlanta and be something like the man. Which of those moves will get you a deal next year?
Moreover, Joe has to know that coming here may mean winning a ECF! I'll say it...
With JJ, we can beat the Cavs.

JJ would help, but we can't beat the Cavs with our current bench bigs.

Make both units good:
Schröder/Thabo/Johnson/Millsap/Horford
Teague/Korver/Bazemore/Scott/Muscala
Ice-Teague/Shredder, Threezus/Blaze, JJ/Sef, Trillsap/Great Scott, Bawse/Moose-Edy. That's ECFs...
I can live with Scott; but, we have to get Muscala out of the rotation.

I think we'd have to cut somebody I think.
Yeah, cutting somebody would not be a problem; Patterson or Muscala would be ok to cut, in my opinion. Hawks should have been more aggressive in the off season by signing bench vets. Teams that lose in the conference finals or finals typically try to get better veteran bench depth in the off season.

I guess since there are no more quaility bigs we can pick up that we should go after Joe.
I would attempt to sign Joe and Jason Thompson.

I wonder if there is interest in Jason Thompson.

Sign Jason when he clears; better than Muscala.

We already have a stretch 5 starting...
We don't need anymore soft, jump shooting big men. We have enough of that with Al , Moose , and Mike Scott .
We need guys that can defensive rebound and defend the rim.
Chisel this sh*t in stone.

Trade comes down to who would you rather have as a backup PG in the playoffs, if injury. Kirk or Mack?

I can't believe Bud is going to go into the second half with Scott and Moose up front. They might combine for 3 rebounds per game.
He won't, He can't. Please no.

So Holiday is going to Utah, also? We must be signing a big, please.
-
Maybe they plan to cut Patterson or Holiday and sign a big. We can only hope.
-
Simply can't win anything with Muscala and Scott as your backup bigs.

If we lose Al we still dont have a 3 Baze to the 2

I wouldn't sign a long term 3, because Prince is going to be a stud. Not sure how long that takes, but he will.
