It's all fun and games until your PG signs an offer sheet! This is going to get interesting.

The difference between Josh and Milsap is 5-6 million a year. The difference between a good player and a very good player. Josh led the Hawks last year. Without him we would have ping-pong balls in the draft.
I know one thing that will come out of this offseason, we will see how Josh affected this team as we compare to Millsap. Will there be a difference because we will not have the empty trips form Josh's 22 1/2 footers, passes in the front row or his lack of a box out. Or will we miss his energy and defensive presence, I think we are set up to get a true grasp on how bad/good Josh was here.

Timofey Mozgov How about this guy? Young center
Yeah, I mentioned him earlier, he is restricted though. Not sure how much it would take or if it would be worth it.

I love Drummond more than anybody, but how can y'all say they're in a better position than us? They have fu@kin Josh Smith on their team:http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/1695770-detroit-pistons-sign-josh-smith-make-worst-move-of-2013-nba-free-agency
Drummond is just that at this point, potential. When he avgs 17 10 and 3 on a playoff team, wake me up. We have had a bunch of potential in ATL.

I posted this in another thread but I'll say it here again for those of you that are hard of thinking.
Detroit posted a 17 million dollar cap hit last year for Richard Hamilton (not with the team) and Corey Maggette (5 ppg) and replace them with Josh Smith and Kentavius Caldwell-Pope for 16 million. They basically added these 2 players for a negative 1 million dollars.
Detroit was 29-53 last year but lost a ton of games by less than 7 points in the last few minutes. Their point differential was only - 3.9 average.
Atlanta on the other hand lost Smith, Pachulia, Harris and replaced them Demarre Carroll, Paul Milsap and rookies who will be stashed overseas. We'll be the ones winning 29 games this year.
Our average point differential last year was a positive .5. A half a point a game. We are in trouble people and have no business making fun of Detroit.
If Teague returns or we get Jennings, and Lou is healthy, the Detroit Pistons, will not be better than the Atlanta Hawks.

Not true. Atlanta is a super star town. There were no Falcons fans before Michael Vick. Now the Dome has some of the best tailgating in the country. Miami never supported the Heat until they became championship contenders. We not only have to win, but we have to be the "cool" team. If we would have landed CP3 and Dwight we would have become that team. With Bynum we'd have become the light version of that team. Ferry doesn't care about winning the press conference, but that is exactly what he HAS to do.
I'm not from Atlanta, nor do I live there, curious...fans didn't support the 2 legit to quit dirty birds?

It would be no surprise if Demarcus Cousins demands the Kings sign and trade him or let him walk in free agency.I think we will have the cap space to sign him or the assets to sign & trade for him.Hoping the Kings suck this year and Cousins demands to leave.
I rather take my chances with the 2015 center FAs, if you truly want to move Al to PF.

I like Ivan but not at C.Is Mozgov really available ? I would prefer him too.
Yeah, I think he is Restricted though.

Ivan can play backup center against most teams in todays NBA. What is wrong with everybody, suddenly theres a notion that stud centers are winning championships is the NBA. Al is a top 5 center. What we really need is a very good backup with size that can defend bigger centers, like Daly.
-
What do yall think of Ronny Turiaf as a cheap veteran bench center ?
Hell, I rather have Ivan or Mozgov as backup center, if no Daly.
-
Ferry must love Horford at Center.
Well, he is a top 5 Center.
-
Damn we should of given Bynum 15 mil a year to not play. He looks good in a suit. Ferry's a failure.
Wow, interesting...
Neither Atlanta nor Dallas, sources tell ESPN, made formal offer to Bynum after their respective sitdowns with the former All-Star this week
-
Throw the beans at Dalembert on a 2 year deal.
Free agent center Sam Dalembert will meet with Mavericks officials on Thursday in Dallas, league sources tell Y! Sports.
-
Honestly, Detroit has a potential superstar at center, a potentially All Star level PF and a PG who has massive effort and is still growing and could become a good PG in the future. Detroit is in a much better spot than the Hawks right now.
Damn, that sounds just like the Hawks right now.

I think we're a worse team than we were this past year so tanking is still in play IMHO. I still think Horford's gonna ask to be traded actually. I wouldn't blame him either.
You don't even know who will on the team yet. lol
My bad, I am in the pessimistic thread.
-
I think it was a combination of injury and the fact that he appears to be very immature.
-
Was hoping someone knew something about Muscala other than he is a Center --- Because with ZaZa gone, Bynum signing elsewhere, Pekovic and Asik being low odds to acquire --- we may be entering the year with Muscala
That dude can't start, he is more finesse than we need in a starting center. Time to get a vet in here quickly, hopefully Daly.
I did joke earlier today that Cavs would sign Bynum and the Mavs would get Daly...I hope we can get Daly. If we don't, probably would have to resign Petro.
-
Agreed. Who'd want a starting C who had PER36 numbers of 15 points, 13 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and shot 54% last year. Scrub!
Dalembert would fit nicely for 2 years, the 2015 Center Free Agent class is very deep, if BeBe does not pan out. Dalembert can still play.

Maybe we can get Dalembert before the Mavs do!!
-
Damn, wouldn't be our luck that Bynum chooses the Cavs and Dalembert chooses the Mavs.
ESPN sources says Mavs remain in pursuit of Bynum but also have Bucks free agent Samuel Dalembert as prime target if Bynum pursuit fizzles
-
Horford at the 5 and Millsap at the 4? Thanks Danny Ferry! Your "vision" is impeccable.
I think the holdup on the trade with Milwaukee is because of Bynum. Once Bynum signs with Dallas, I think Ferry will go after Dalembert as part of a trade.

I thought Mo Williams was dead.
Mo Williams, I thought you were dead! lol
-
It would make sense, so he can put some "get back" on the Lakers.
-
The way some of you guys sh*t on Teague is disgusting and probably one of the reasons nobody wants to play here.
You ain't lying,..I get that one may think that Teague is not great or won't become great, but he clearly has improved in the 2 years of playing time.
Teague has signed a 4 year / $32 million offer sheet with Milwaukee

I am not sure there is much difference between the two. But, I reckon the Bucks want Teague because of LD. I don't trust his judgement at all.
