  1. Soo...I'm providing my opinion on an open message board for Hawk fans. Dear God what is the world coming to. Don't attack me.

You just opened a thread and titled it "what I hate about the "joe johnson apologist".....what does that have to do with the team at all. You are not a Hawks fan, you are a Joe Johnson hater. Go troll somewhere else

  2. Let me clearify, trading Joe would be good for the Hawks LONGTERM! If we trade Joe we have to trade Josh too. There's no point trading one guy while letting the other stay. You want to know why? It's because of this stupid offensive system that we've ran for the past 6 something years that Woodson and Drew have creamed over. Give them each a star player and they will run that player to death out on the court. We need to bring back team basketball, we can do that with Teague and Horford.

  3. The stats might say that Joe is the fourth best player in this system but do you honestly think that Joe, a six time allstar, an ALL NBA player, is really that bad???I'll tell you why stats show this, it's because Joe is the number one player that defenses try to focus in on this team, hence he has to bear the burden on the offensive end most of the time. Do you really think defenses try to stop Josh from going off on them LOL! No, they'd rather him build brick houses with that jumper of his.I'll guarantee you that on the offensive end, with Joe out, defenses will figure out a way to expose the hawks and force Josh to take jumper after jumper, and we will all soon see how bad of an offensive team the Hawks will be without having Joe as the scapegoat. If you give Joe a number 1 option, his stats would be better and he would be more efficient. We already know that Joe is not a 1st option, but the fourth best player on this team he is not.Again I am not saying that this trade should not be done, because salary vs production wise Joe has negative value. But to say or imply that we will be a better team without Joe reaks of ignorancy. The game is not all about stats, there are things that stats cannot measure! Basketball is not a perfect system where all variables are constant, it is a dynamic game.

  4. Trading Joe might be the best thing for the Hawks long term, but short term we are going to probably be lottery bound. It'll be hard watching Josh run the show with no restraints....bad jumper after bad jumper, completely ignoring teammates, bringing the ball up, shouting at Teague, being the man.....sighsend out Josh and build around Teague and Horf, and this team might actually be watchable

  5. it took bron bron 9 years to realize he was unstoppable in the paint... i think if ASG got a solid coach in here and someone to teach a good post game it would work. just like how ewing helped dwight develop. it would be nice if they could get a big man in and help teach him some moves

As much talent as Josh has, he can't really play in the post because post play is more mental than anything. Josh doesn't want to be a post player he wants to be a point forward that shoots and passes.
  6. 1. Silent joe didn't sit around. He put up 19 4 and 4 while putting up numerous game winners.2. Jeff Teague's improvement also helped the team3. No doubt Al would have stepped up if Josh had gone down (16 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg), those are all star numbers at the center position and Al would def. have less of a negative impact than Josh.
