  1. I would be thrilled with that trade. We'd be an awesome shot blocking/rebound team. Chills also would be resigned if this trade went down. The problem is Marvin isnt worth Okafor, especially after this series.
  2. Stackhouse is done and V is weak. I would do it for Josh Howard. Puff puff pass.
  3. I will support any trade that involves Marvin Williams after what we've seen from him this playoffs. He's been completely exposed.
  4. I dont know, I was driving to work Tuesday morning and all 680 could talk about was the freaking Falcons draft. Seriously guys? After one of the biggest wins in 10 years we're talking about players that havent played one minute of one game over and over?
  5. Quote: Quote: And ZaZa played like he was from outer space. Maybe he was... /cue X-Files music. X-Files music? Sam Cassell must have just entered the building.
  6. Quote: I had to listen on the radio ... Garnett backed down? Please! Post a link when it's up! Garnett gets punked by ZAZA Someone beat me to it. Way to stay on top of things!
  7. Zaza, I am sorry for dogging you this year and wanting you to be traded. Tonight you forever earned my respect. You punked my new most-hated player, Kevin Girlnett. You stepped to his face and he backed down, just like he's done his entire career. Thank you for showing heart and strength and being that enforcer we so desperately needed (even though Woodson buried you on the bench in the 2nd half). No matter what happens, you are the man. p.s. Prepare to be immortalized on Youtube.
  8. Its pissing me off hearing all the Celtics fans cry about the Hawks talking smack. The Celtics have been running their mouths the entire series. Last night I sat about 20 rows behind the Celtics bench. I saw Garnett say something to Josh Smith, then hold up a "2" right in Josh Smith's face. But thats ok, because Garnett is intense and a veteran and he just wants to win. Josh Smith, Horford? They're young, they gotta earn respect before they can talk, they're out of line. Im sick of the free pass Garnett gets. When he runs his mouth, starts crying and pouting, its so wonderful and Boston fans applaud him, but when we talk back we're young thugs.
  9. I would do it but no way the Clips do it, and highly unlikely the Bobcats do it. We'll be able to grab Thebeet.
  10. Look, Marvin is a joke. The only reason he scores points is because he gets to the foul line. Once scouts learn to back off Marvina and let him shoot, its over. He is out of trouble, not confident, and just awkward. He cant shoot a 3. He cant beat anyone off the dribble. He disappears in games. Plus dont forget he's scoring 15 points in what, 36 minutes? Thats not terribly difficult when you get all the open jumpers that Marvin does because JJ gets doubled and tripled. Josh Smith is our only shot blocker, gets a good amount of steals, has range to hit 3s, can rebound well. Yeah he cant shoot but lots of players learned how to shoot. Look at Kobe, Magic. Obviously those were some of the best but the skill is the same. Anoter reason to trade Marvin...he really cant play another position. Smoove can play either forward. How much longer are we going to Marvin a free pass because he's young and supposedly has potential and talent? And do we REALLY want to give him an extension next year, outside of the fact that if we dont it looks like we failed in the '05 draft?
  11. What I meant to say was here was their combined stats. Player 1 is Chris Paul, Player 2 is Marvin
  12. In the first two playoff games in their careers, here are their averages... Player 1 : 67 points, 27 assists, 8 rebounds, 7 steals, one block, 4 turnovers Player 2: 24 points, 0 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 5 turnovers Thanks Knightmare.
  13. I think tonight clinched Bibby being traded before the trade deadline next year.
  14. Unless Marvin becomes an All-star, I dont think the Hawks should live it down. Passing on a future all-nba for a decent small forward on a team with three decent small forwards is folly. How many other small forwards in the nba do you think could average 15 points a game playing Marvin's minutes, and getting as many wide-open looks as he does? Plenty. How many pg's can do what Paul does? None. We would be a 50-win team with Paul, JJ, and Smith. We wouldnt have reached on Shelden, either.
  15. I wish I knew why. Law's confidence has been destroyed by Woodson.
  16. Its hard to develop a shooting rhythm when you play maybe 10 minutes a week.
  17. Lets see... Someone in their 30s who is shorter, less athletic, coming off of an injury, and definately not as exciting. And we're trading Josh Smith for him? The Clips would do this trade in two seconds, the Hawks wouldnt.
  18. Quote: Here are 10 keys for the Indy game (IMHO): 1) Joe has to be Joe (I believe he's better than anyone Indy has on their roster) 2) Bibby has to get out of his shooting slump and score in tandem with Joe. 3) We can't let guys like Granger and Daniels out hustle us 4) We can't make guys like Diener the next coming of Larry Bird the way the Bucks did 5) Our bench has to provide meaningful minutes 6) Out rebound them 7) Impose our will in the 1st quarter and play a full 48 minutes worth of basketball Share the ball and defend. Don't leave guys open and miss assignments. 8) DEFEND THE 3! Don't fall asleep on guys like Dunlevey. 9) Josh Smith has to play within himself and be a viable 3rd option 10) No senseless turnovers. I would add: Marvin has to score at least 10 points. Since our bench gives us nothing, we need every point we can get from our starters.
