  1. Nope...Josh does to many dumb things in crucial situations for my taste. He makes alot of good plays sure...but it seems like when the Hawks really need Josh to step up his game, he goes and hides under a table somewhere. No..I'm not talking about a dunk tip in March against Orlando as being clutch. I'm talking about the playoffs and when the game is on the line. Josh went plum stupid tonight after Joe fouled out. It was like watching a guy trying to be something he just can't be. A clutch playoff player.
  2. Listen dude...Josh has some good moments but he has plenty of bad ones as well. He's not untradeable by any means. Especially if you can get multiple draft picks. Please get off his jock. Its sickening.
  3. I had honestly rather see us rebuild for a few years than to keep losing every year in the playoffs. The ultimate goal should be to win a championship. You can't add Mercedes parts to a Corvette and expect it to run right. No matter who we bring in barring Kobe, Lebron or Dwight it will not get this team over the top. Build from the draft and hopefully get it right this time.
  4. I think in JJ's mind he is already thinking about who he is gonna play for next year.
  5. I think its time to start over. I think this bunch has gone as far as they can go. They are seriously flawed and they have blown so many 4th qtr leads this year, they start looking for it to happen about every game. I never seen a playoff team play as tight as the Hawks did the final 4 minutes of the game. I really think you keep Teague and Al and just start over. Let Joe walk because we all know he is a role player and not a team leader. Josh is just not basketball smart. I really like Josh and i wanted him to develop into a bonafide superstar but he just doesn't have the BB I.Q. to do it. Add to that the fact that his outside shot flaws him like a a scar on a supermodel's face. I will admit that he gets a lot of mileage out of haveing no outside J but he will never be the complete package and he just seems to take nights off sometimes. Marvin is a bust. One great game every 20 games does not constitute success. Bibby is washed up and old. Crawford is a streak player that can shoot you in a game and shoot you right out of one at the same time. he also is about as physical as a newborn puppy. Mo Evans??? I'm not even gonna comment. Woody's philosophy on the switching defenses has been exposed and i don't think he knows any other way to play. He has to go as well. Time to go back to the drawing board boys. Lets brace for another long rebuilding period unless ownership decides to spend some money.
  6. Joe Smith is a member of the "ALL WASHED UP" team. Just like Bibby. Marvin is a member of the "NEVER WAS" team. JJ will be gone after this year. Keep Teague, Horford and Smith and the hell with everyone else. Build the team around those 3 and you might have something.
  7. This team is a hoax. They are not as good defensively as people make them out to be. they have proven to be chokers in big games against the elite teams. Yeah ...i know people will say they beat Boston, but guess what?? They couldn't do it now if their life depended on it. We essentually still have no bench. Crawford is basically a starter. Bibby sucks. His best days are far behind him. They have no go to players but Joe and he will be gone after this year. Woodson has done all he can do. If you can't build a championship team in 5 plus years its time to scrap the jalopy and start over. Here's an idea. Spend some damn money like the good teams do and buy a winner like the GOOD teams do.
  8. I agree ...overall great win and i'm thrilled to see Woody resting the starters more and getting huge contributions from the bench. No question about Teague though. This kid has more skill than any point guard we have had in a long while. Great ball handling...nice outside game and mad hops. Sees the floor well also. This might be a stretch but i can see him being better than Chris Paul if Woody brings him along right and keeps giving him solid minutes. Great job again by the whole bench. Now...lets stay focused! No letdowns against the lowly Nets Sunday.
  9. Great win by the Hawks. I would have never bet we would beat Dallas on the road tonight. Ugly game but we got the "W" and thats all that matters. JOE Smith was huge tonight. He hit some big shots down the stretch. It was good to see Joe come out of the little funk he has been in. Lets hope he goes on another long good shooting stretch. Only thing I can figure about this team is defensively...some nights we don't bring it. Maybe you can call it playing down to our competition but who knows??? The bottom line is...we know this is a playoff team. Can they avoid the games like last night against the Knicks in the playoffs? The rest of the season..I want this team to work on consistency. Lets start seeing less and less of games like last night and EVEN MORE of what we saw tonight. A second seed or even a 1 seed should be the goal. Avoiding losses to the dregs of the NBA will be key in reaching that goal.
  10. Man was that second quarter ugly or what? We went the last 7:18 without scoring??? Holy crap! When this team goes cold...it goes sub-zero cold. The Hawks are like the grab bag team of the NBA. Sometimes you get good stuff...sometimes you get Sh_T!
  11. Hmmm...you have to make shots to win??? Now thats real in depth analysis right there!!
  12. We better put our foot down on them. Last thing we need is a mediocre effort against the lowly Nets.
  13. Can this team maintain the consistency it needs to ward off anymore terrible losses this year? Its one thing to lose to a good team at home but to lose to an injury depleted mediocre team on the road is definitely not aceptable. Thats what is so frustrating about this team. We can put 146 on the board and play lights out one night and then the next game we may not show up. The loss to Detroit was all about effort. We got outworked by subpar medioce players and got a loss hung on us for our efforts. Consistency is thelast hurdle for this team to clear to move up in the elite teams statis of the NBA.
