Accordingly to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo (a reputable news outlet), David Andersen is finally joining the NBA and the Atlanta Hawks. The Australian big man had a great season with Barcelona, in his first year in the Catalan club, culminating with the ACB championship and two great games in the Euroleague Final 4. To sum it up briefly, the article states that Andersen can exercise a clause that allows him to walk to the NBA till the 15th July, that his dream was always to play for a NBA, that he's willing to play there for the same salary he earns in Europe (€2M), that the Hawks are interested on him to replace Zaza Pachulia, who's possibly leaving. I really think when its all said and done Jeff Teague will be the steal of this draft hes a guy that will work on his game as hard as kobe and a great dunker and shooter all he needs is to play better defense wich will come in time and be a pass first point guard. (Any one agree or disagree)

Marvin Williams is a restricted free agent and could play out his year on a $7.5 million qualifying offer which might be more than he would command anywhere else in a long-term deal. The wildcards are Josh Childress and David Andersen. Both spent last season in Europe but have the option of coming to the Hawks this summer. The addition of one or both would be huge, giving the Hawks quality depth at two crucial positions. But the chances of that happening seem remote at best.

the fact is that will we have the defense to go up against teams like Orlando, Clevland, Boston, maybe Detroit, and the Wizards who are gonna have a breakout year they just had injuries in the past. The key is defense Hawks, Hawks need a great DEFENSE! and quick!
