Since we are most likely not going to get a center in FA, We need to look at signing a SF to help fill one of our needs. IMO Horford is the 4th best center in the league behind Howard, Bynum, and Howard. With the rumors of us getting new management, and by us not moving Smoove on draft day I'm sure we're moving forward with our core players (Teague, JJ, Smoove, Horford). If we can find a way to dump Marvin's contract we can have enough cap room to sign a better SF. Thaddeus Young went to GT and he's from the south so I'm sure he would think about playing for the Hawks and Wilson Chandler is a good scorer that could compliment JJ. We should also look to sign Shannon Brown who has ties in ATL to replace Jamal Crawford. Zaza is good defensive backup and we all know he's going to play 100% all the time. Hinrich is a nice compliment off the bench also. We need a primary 3pt shooter - (James Jones/Daequan Cook). We're not that far from contending but we have to change our team mentality. If we could get a deal for Nene in free agency do yall think he would come to Atl or stay in Denver? We are "win-now" mode IMO and he could be the center that could upgrade our team. That would allow Smoove to play the 3 and Marvin to come off the bench as a combo forward. Hinrich would then be 3rd guard and I really want us to sign either Shannon Brown or James Jones to fill our 8/9 man rotation.

Lighty could make the team as the 4th guard. He's a good spot up shooter and plays defense, he's somewhat of a glue guy and hopefully new ownership is serious about winning bc honestly we're only a few pieces away.

Josh Selby will be a productive NBA player mark my words. His game fits the NBA just as Brandon Jennings did. Remember, Jennings only avg about 8 ppg overseas and Selby was on a loaded Kansas team. Check him out on youtube the kid can ball

This is just my opinion, but if we decide to trade with another team we should try and use Horford to get a true center (Bogut). Honestly, the top 3 centers in the league IMO are Dwight, Bogut, and Hoford, even though he plays out of position. (Hibert is very good too). If we can't upgrade we should stick with Smoove and Horford, and try to get a young defensive center off the bench (maybe Benson?). We need to let go of Crawford, and I'm pretty sure Shannon Brown will come to Atl. (His girlfriend and had issues with Gasol in LA). Also, James Jones will most likely be released. Miami didn't use him in the finals and they don't have enough cap to keep both Miller and Jones, he's the odd man out. He could be our backup 3 man. I'm not a fan of Marvin starting so if he is kept he could be servicable off the bench as a combo fwd. We tried to model the Pistons after the championship run but we're missing the most important factor - DEFENSE, but it can be fixed we've seen flashes.Teague will make his way to the second-tier pgs (Conley, Nelson, Harris) and his potential is limitless once he gains more confidence.

This is just a question, do yall believe we can get the #4 pick (Kanter) w/o shipping JJ, Smoove, or Horford. Cleveland has always had interest in Marvin Williams.. Is there a way we could package a deal of Marvin/Hinrich/future 1st rd picks for the #4 pick? Our lineup would be very dangerous if we could add Kanter with keeping our key pieces. According to Hoopshype.com, GS has offered Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, and Biedrins for Dwight and Orlando is actually giving the offer serious thought. We can offer Horford, Marvin, and some more pieces to get Dwight here. GS has new management and it's obvious they're trying to make that team into a contender. I'm sure we can afford Dwight and he would be an asset to Teague, JJ, and Smoove, We can build around those players and could potentially become a dominant force in the league.

Tyson Chandler is an option too. He's a UFA and Dallas has a lot of money tied to Haywood. Chandler will be 29 next yr and he played this healthy. He could add the rebounding and defense we need from the position.

We have to rebuild around our core players of Teague, JJ, Smoove, and Horford. I agree that we need a true center (DeAndre Jordan), and we have to let go of Crawford, Marvin, and possibly Hinrich. Their contracts absorb too much cap space. People complain about JJ's contract but he's still our best player. Crawford's run with us was great but he will want too much money and we can replace him with a player like Shannon Brown who has ties in Atl. I have no complaints with Hinrich's play but his contract is using too much cap space. Marvin needs to be traded, we probably won't get much in return but he has to go. We also need a spot up shooter (Dequan Cook) Teauge is our future pg, he has the ability to be in the second tier of pgs in the league and even better - (Jennings, Conley, Harris) JJ - our "star" player best offensive player Smoove - most talented player and I think he will finally come into his own next season. These two should be our main targets. Brown could replace Crawford as our 6th man and with the issues going on in LA I think he's ready to leave. Also his girl, Monica, his a singer from Atlanta so I'm sure he's out here a lot. Jordan is the center that we need, he's young and athletic, and he fits our team with his style of play. We need to move Crawford, Marvin, and possibly Horford/Smoove. Teague is the future and JJ was a damn mistake!

I believe with his contract situation in Denver, he's a possible addition to our team. Although we may have to deal Horford/Smoove, he's a top center. I'm a fan of Smoove b/c of his heart and athletic ability, and I belive LD is the perfect fit for him at the coaching position. Horford is consistent but I believe he has hit his ceiling, and he plays too robotic. We could possibly find a way to land Nene, and other fillers such as Jr Smith/Wilson Chandler. We also need to dump Marv, it will never work b/c of the expectations. FA: We need a pure shooter (Dequan Cook) and I like CJ Miles as a player who can add scoring/defense off the bench. Teague is the future! I've been saying this and now Hinrich is the backup/spot starter. Also, JJ may need to slide to the 3 position; he's not getting any younger. We need to S/T Crawford while his value is still there. He's one of my favorite Hawks but it's his time to go.

If we could find a way to package our players and land a deal with Denver for Nene and Wilson Chandler it would make our team better. I think we could find a way to keep Horford if we package Marvin, Smoove, and Crawford.

Teauge - Bogans JJ - Deng Wilkins - Rose Smoove - Boozer Horford - Noah IMO in the offseason, we should look at the possibility of moving almost everyone on the roster. The only player who has been playing well this series is Teague. No one will absorb JJ's contract but the other players should be on the block. Horford is a good player but everyone on this board makes it seem as if he's great. Smoove has low BB IQ and doesn't want to use his athleticism, and Marvin is just mentally soft. A package of Smoove, Crawford, and another player can land us a good player (Nene). Horford is an all-star but we could find value if we look at trading him.

Two free agents we need to look at real hard.. DeAndre Jordan & CJ Miles. They are both athletic and fit our mold. Miles can be the 3 man off the bench as Marvin can slide to the 4, and Jordan can play the 5. A future pg will eventually come with time if Teague isn't the answer, but I believe he can develop into a special player bc of his attributes. We should start Teague it's not like we're about to win a championship to be real, at least him to develop like other young pgs with gameplay do ala Rondo, D WIlliams, Devin Harris. Of course he gone make mistakes but I've seen him play in college when he's 100% confident and he topped players like Ty Lawson easily because of his quickness, athletic ability, and his shot isn't that bad. Bibby's getting old, this could pay off...

Idk why most people on here don't like josh, his versatility on this team is needed next to Horford. He can play the 3 and 4 and his jump shot is streaky he jus needs work on it. I believe we could sell the Warriors on Marvin and few more bench players and maybe a pick. A backcourt of Curry and JJ, and frontcourt of Smoove and Horford are nice building blocks. Add one more starting player and continue to build the bench will make us a strong team. If we could then find a way to get a young center like DeAndre Jordan or a young stud at SF like Jordan Hamilton/Kyle Singler we would be better team.

There aren't many quality centers in the league and the clippers have two by some standards. Both Chris Kaman and DeAndre Jordan are quality starters; Kaman is injured right now but when he comes back he's a 19-10 ppg type of player. Jordan brings more of a defensive mold which could be dangerous next to Horford; he's young and athletic and fits the identity of this team. Smoove is showing the ability to play the 3 with his streaky outside shooting but if he could focus and work more on his shot it could pay off. His handles need to be improved but that's all work and repitition, as well as shooting. There are reports that the Clippers are looking for a SF, and I'm a fan of Marvin and I believe he is alot better than be give him credit to be but we are need of a center. If we could package players to get a center and maybe another bench player we could be a better team overall. Also, Teague needs to be getting more play time and starting opprutunities so he can build trust with his teammates. A lineup of Bibby/Crawford, JJ, Smoove, Al, and Jordan is better than what we have now. I believe we need another superstar (pg) in order to compete for a championship but this team could compete!

Is there any way yall think we can package some players and picks to acquire Kevin Love from minnesota. They are the toilet bowl of the league and I'm sure they will make a screw up trade. I understand he is not a banger at center but you can't deny the talent, and with him alongside Horford that could be dangerous. He's a great passer and can step out to the 3pt line. Horford has the mid range game to be dangerous also. Also, Teague needs to learn the NBA game by experience. If you don't remember that's how Rondo got better. He was at one point the weakest link on their lineup. Teague has the athletic abilitiy to be vital on both sides. He must improve his jumpshot but at WF he was deadly and I'm sure that's because his confidence was high knowing he the green light on offense. Bibby is nothing but a pick and roll pop shooter right now. In reality we don't have a championship squad so we should allow our younger players to develop such as JC2 and Teague.
