Then it is still Woody's fault for allowing Marvin to stay in the corner. There is no way any one can guage Marvin's decision making and over all skills, until he gets on the floor this season. It is my opinion that Woody either allowed Marvin to say in the corner or instructed him to. Either way Woody has apart to play in Marvin's last year production. I am relieved to see Woody go. Now get SOME centers! TWO OF THEM, PLEASE!!!

By no means am I taking up for Marvin. What I am saying is that perhaps Marvin needs some type of set offense, Woody was a free style for JJ coach. Maybe this coach will bring some balance to the offense. About Marvin jumper, who ever said that he was a pure shooter. And to be honest the whole team did not go the basket except Smoove. So the entire team needs so offensive coaching. Smooove and Childress are players that takes whatever they get, Marvin might need some structure offense, we shall see.

I have read a lot of post about Marvin and I do understand how frustrating ya get when watching him play. But, in all fairness to Marv. Woody put him in a corner and basically siad, STAY THERE! DON'T MOVE! Maybe, Drew offense might be what Marv. needs. A continuing ball movement sounds pretty good, lets wait and see before dogging him. Marvin is not my frustration, mines is getting a FRICKING CENTER, and please NO SHAQ. It is simple, scout the d league and summer teams and get two true centers, none of them have to be offensive minded. Go get a rebounder/shot blocker and a rebounder/big body presence and lets go to work. In addition, go get a strong point guard whose job is to defend. IF Drew offense is any good that it sound, I believe the Hawks would be 4th, maybe 3rd, in the east.

I agree, it does take time. Keep in mind , the Lakkers tried different big man before Gasol, for example K. Brown. Also, Kobe was witnessing Bynum develop the entire time. I know there has been several post about Atlanta getting a center. I am really not concern about Shaq or Miller, what I am concern about is Horf. I really think Horf is a great player, a franchise player. That being said, we HAVE to get a center, it is a must. I know we have ZaZa, but that is not a enough. I read the latest news about not going over the salary cap. Please tell me that ASG is simply blowing smoke. Horf deserves the luxury of playing with a center, a quality center. Good teams are built by ownership, coaches, players and the remaining staff. The owners are showing me that they finally want to win(paying their players and trying to attract others), I am not sure about Drew but I do know that if JJ is SERIOUS about winning, he should be willing to give up some of his new contract. If the owners are willing to get players like Chris Paul, M. Ellis, Brad Miller or the center for Golden State, JJ should be willing to sacrifice a portion of his outrageous salary. Trust me, the Heat will be unstoppable in a couple years, if we are going to make a run at the title, it is right now. Because of the Lebron trade, there are only two teams that we should worry about(well maybe three), Celtics, Bulls, and the maybe is the Heat. Please tell me your thoughts ?

I am a hawks fan for life but I am more of a basketball fan. I am happy for Lebron and Miami. As a Hawks fan, just face it, they will beat us, and a lot of other teams. I have read post that we could match up well against them, PLEASE, GIVE ME A BREAK. They arGo e a better team, let it go, be happy for James. James, Wade, and Bosh took less money for a championship, we need more unselfish players like that. I take my hat off to Miami. How about asking JJ to lower his salary to get Melo or C.Paul. Hello all, I have some questions about some trade rumors. I believe I read somewhere that we can move Josh to Washington for McGee and another player? Currently the rumor is, we can sign and trade JJ to Dallas for Haywood and Butler? In addition, we can grab Salmon from the Bucks? or Morrow? If this is true, that would mean : ZaZa, Haywood, McGee Horf, Josh Butler,Marvin Salmon, or Morrow, and Crawford Teague , Bibby All things being true, this would be an amazing squad. An Eastern conference contender Are there any truth to these rumors? If so, I'm excited about next year.

I am aware of Jordan's personality. The thing that Jordan,Shaq and Wade did or does is hold their teammates accountable. We lack accountability. There should be player on every team that says sometinhg, be it positive or negative comments. Who do we have on our team that says anything to the other players,except maybe Horford.

From my observation the Atlanta Hawks has become a jump shooting team. The only player that goes to hole is Crawford. Teague started off taking it strong but for some reason(Woody) he stopped. Marvin made some attempts to the basket, well a least he tried. We may post topics after topics about trades, player's development,defense, etc. Unless they start going strong to the basket, the Hawks are C plus team. It is sad when none of the starting 5 gets to the free throw line. How can they slow down the Howard's, the Garnett's the Shaqster, guys like that if they can not get them in foul trouble.

I agree, Marvin is playing much better, but not great. In addition, if Marvin can put doubles doubles then he needs to do it, regardless of what he teammates do. He is getting paid for his production, not the teams.

No, not every night but FOR THE MOST PART. The question is:FOR THE MOST PART does Marvin gets double double or even close? No. Here recently he has done well. I would like to see him keep it up.
