  1. So what you are saying that the Heat's 3 took less money because they like each that much and competing for a ring is not their objective. In addition, I have to disagree with you. 3 Mill make a difference with a team is only one player off from being a true contender in the East. I wonder what center could we get for roughly 5 mill a year. I know some one better then Collins or the other guy(Thomas maybe). I feel you are making excuses for JJ. The bottom line is, they could taking a lot more mula but they settled for the sake of WINNING.
  2. I wonder what would the Knick's fan do or Laker's fans. I like to believe that would show(some how) their dissatisfaction with him. I believe that he would know how the fans felt.
  3. Dirk Nowitzki Labron James Chris Bosh Dwyane Wade All four have new contract last year, the same as Joe Johnson. All four were offered max contract but decided to take less money for the sake of having a winning team. All four guys are producing better numbers then Joe this season. I am a true Hawks fan, as a matter of fact, the Hawks are really the only team I watch. I am extremely business with family and work to watch other games. I am so tired of the Hawks passive fans. Please be real. JJ was not thinking about the Hawks franchise when he accepted that contract. I do put blame on the Spirits, but their hands were tied and he knew it. He knew what the Spirits were up against. He knew that we needed a franchise player to bring in fans and to possibly sale the team. JJ needs to man up. Face the fact that he is not elite give up about 6 million of that salary so we can get a decent center. Truth being said, the elite player for the Hawks is Al Horford, that is , if you put him at the position he belongs, power forward.
  4. The other four guys stand around because they have no idea what JJ is going to with the ball. It is a fact that JJ holds the ball to long trying to create space to pull up a shoot. Check this out. The elite players on team draw fouls(create contact) if they can't get to the baskets. I wonder how often JJ goes to the free throw line. JJ does not go strong to the basket, he takes his time(17-20 sec.) to find a shot. It is to late for the other players to react. Hopefully KIrk comes in give the ball to the true great player on the team, Al. It is no question what Al is going to do with the ball. He post quickly or shot an open shot. If the shot is not there, he pass. He doesn't use majority of the shot clock in attempts to break down the defense. Kirk to Al should then JJ then Josh , should be how we start the game.
  5. If Joe would give up 5 million of that 126 million, we could sign a decent center this year to be more competitive. He knows his game is off. He needs to show some grace and give up some dough. If we can get a decent center, that would take some the pressure(if he feels any) off him. Instead he would rather use up the shot clock(ball hogging), and shot up blanks. That is why I call him selfish.
  6. What make him the opposite, please tell me. And yes Michael Jordan could have gone for the top salary when he was with Chicago, but be didn't. Chipper Jones told Braves to use some of his salary to bring more talent. We are a stuck franchise relying on Good player to take us to the promise land. JJ is very good, but not elite.
  7. Give me one reason to have sympathy for him. Like I said before we have to hold all of our high prices super stars accountable, no matter what sport it is. I am from ATL, I really support our teams. The truth is, JJ is over paid. Night in and night out, he does not produce to level of what his pay check brings him. Because he is over paid, who would trade for him. JJ has left us STUCK. When I hear Yorkers cheer MVP, it makes me suck. I am not saying it is all JJ fault. What I am saying that if he truly cares about the Hawks, he would renegotiate has contract which would allow the Hawks to pick up more talent. JJ concern is for his pockets, that is why I call him selfish.
  8. No I wouldn't. I dream is to have money and the rings. Look what Lebron and Bosh did. JJ is selfish. It shows on the court and from my sources, he displays arrogants in the barber shop he goes to and his favorite restaurant. We ATL sports fans are to darn passive towards these players. The bottom line is, if you except that kind of money then step up to the plate and produce, no excuses. And if you does perform to that level, good for him, that is why you are getting paid top dollar, he gets no kudles. I have no sympathy for JJ. None what so ever. He is the 126 million reason why my city can not get a ring. PLUS, HE REALLY DOESN'T CARE, TRUST ME!
  9. It is completely JJ fault. He broke the bank, so we don't have the funds to get better talent. On top of that he is a ball hog and takes up 17-20 sec. to create his own shot. He needs to play SF because he is too slow to get pass most SG. If JJ was a team player like a Chipper Jones and MJ, he would give some of money back to get better talent.
  10. this allow me to fix line up we could start: Kirk/Craw/JJ/Smooth/Horf TJ/Kirk/JJ/Smooth Kirk/JJ/Smooth/Horf/? TJ/JJ/Smooth/Horf/? TJ/Craw/JJ/Smooth/Horf. Orlando or Boston could keep up with this. I repeat, go,,get,, TJ
  11. perhaps you see the bigger picture by getting TJ Your back court would now be adjustable. You can start, TJ or Kirk or Tj or Kirk Kirk Craw JJ JJ JJ JJ Smooth Smooth Smooth Horf Horf you have flexibility, to match up with most teams. We actually could be in fourth and bet Orlando , who, as of lately are not getting along with there coach. Why cant we beat them is my question?
  12. Seriously,,,plleeeaasss go and get TJ Ford. I believe we could move pass Orlando.
  13. Please get TJ Ford, he would complete are back court.
  14. I completely agree with you
  15. maybe not, but Bibby wasn't doing much anyway. So what is the big deal?
  16. Guys please stop complaining about the trade. A lot of us, including myself were completely upset about lack of movement in making trades. Well they made one. It may or may not be exactly what we wanted, but never the less a trade happened. Let's give it a shot and see happens. There are some positives and negative points in the trade. For me, the negative is Crawford is gone and feel he has major potential. But the positive is, we got rid of Bibby's contract and Kirk only has one year left on his. The bottom line is we will free up some cash for next year. Perhaps ASG is trying to get D Howard, we don't know. But chill, relax, we are not contenders anyway. They made a move for a better point guard and shot blocker that deserves some applauds.
  17. I 100% agree with you. Until I see another point guard other, I will probably not watch them as much. I am definitely not going to any more games. This organization has to know that we are in need of point guard and have not made a move yet.
  18. We shoot outside because there is no field general to force them play inside. We can go get a center, but that will not stop anyone from shooting outside. Go and get a point.
  19. If you look at the Hawks record and compare it to the topthree, we are only a couple of games behind. Why would break up the core. If you watch the games the Hawks aremissing one key guy, and that is a point guard. All we really need is an above average plus point, for example T.J.Ford. Some one of that caliber who can control thefloor and prevent Josh and others from excessive jumpers. A center would be nice, but we are stillwinning games. There are lots of pointguards out there that can penetrate, then dish and every now and then shot a J,just to keep the defense honest. We do not necessarily need a Nash (which wouldbe nice) not if it breaks up the core. Inaddition, Teague would really benefit watching a guy like Ford. I really likeBibby, but face it, Bibby can’t produce that, game after game. I would notbreak the core, there is no need.
  20. Good for you Marv. Show a little heart. Next time dunk on him or something. Put that energy in the game
  21. I see a lot of topics about the Hawks centers. In my opinion these guys are getting it done. Atlanta is missing two main components that would make them a final contender. First, the Hawks badly needs a point guard that penetrates. JT is simply not performing. JT plays scared, he looks confused out there and Bibby simply can't do it any longer/ spend the money and go get a fast 6'2" , defensive point guard that can handle the rock and who is field general. Example Jarrad Jack Next: get rid of Mo Evans , he too small as a small forward and his knees are BAD. Marvin is WEAK , go and get Al Thorton from Washington. ASG should count Marvin contract as a lost. Take Marvin as a learning experience and NEVER draft a second spring guy in the first round(DUMB). ASG spend the money NOW go get a point guard and small forward. We have a good coach, a good system that works and the shooting guards , power forwards and centers(all of them even Collins) are playing extreme well.
  22. Give me AI for 1 to 2 mill a year then Craw for 10 mill a year, any day! Trade Crawford for a small forward and another big man, plus add AI, and give Horford his extension,,, yes NO DOUBT!!
  23. You are the man, good idea, but I can do without Shaq.
