  1. Kyle Korver I want to be able to spread the defense out when we have the ball, but I do not want to rely solely on Dirk for that. I know that Brandon Roy is capable of making 3s, however I really do not know exactly what I will be able to get from him health wise. Insert Mr. Korver, run a few screens and all eyes will then be on Korver. Used correctly a 3pt specialists is very deadly. Put the Ball in the Damn Basket PG-Jrue Holiday SG-Landry Fields SF- Gerald Wallace PF- Dirk Nowitizki C- Kendrick Perkins 6th- Brandon Roy Jason Thompson Kyle Korver
  2. Well then Put the Ball in the Damn Basket select Jason Thompson. A young C/PF with a lot of upside. Plus I can put him in at either big position when I want to run.
  3. Is coachx still on the clock or has he been skipped as well?

  5. Its because they do not believe that he can be the leader of a team for a full season without getting hurt. He wouldn't even be starting for me, we would effectively pull his minutes back from 37 (in 09-10) to around 25-28. Hopefully when we're done drafting, I'll be able to say that drafting Roy as a 6th man was a low-risk, high reward maneuver.
  6. Sund: The fans want me to trade up to a 2011 Mercedes Benz, but by trading in my 1994 Honda Accord.
  7. Nice pick, I was actually going to select him until I saw Brandon Roy still available. Just curious but who would you take out in order to bring Odom into the game? There are a plethora of ways to do it.
  8. Hopefully Jrue would be able to make him look serviceable on the offensive side much like Rondo did and Westbrook couldn't.
  9. With pick number 89 Put the Ball in the Damn Basket select Brandon Roy. 6th man of the year, (if awards are even going to be given). You can't say anything about future lingering injuries, he has nothing left in his knees to tear. And ask DeJuan Blair how that has worked out for him since high school. Jrue Holiday Landry Fields Gerrald Wallace Dirk Nowitizki Kendrick Perkins 6th man Brandon Roy Put the Ball in the Damn Basket are going places! :dancer:
  10. Landry Fields A very low risk, high reward pick to fill out my starting lineup. I was actually quite surprised to see him still undrafted seeing as how he was the second most consistent rookie in the league this year. I believe that in playing off of Dirk and Crash he can either maintain his scoring average of 10 ppg or increase it, either is fine. In addition, Landry Fields along with Jrue Holiday can become a formidable backcourt for years to come. 10ppg, 6rpg, 2ast, 1stl, with the 5th pick. I can take that.
  11. With the next pick I draft Gerald Wallace I believe that his overall defense and scoring punch (to go alongside with Dirk and Jrue) will ultimately be the X factor for my team and our scheme.
  12. I think that everybody is misunderstanding the intent of the topic, imo TRUE isn't calling for Smoove to go into the post like Shaq. But rather use his natural athleticism to his fullest extent.
  13. Moving the draft along, I select Kendrick Perkins. I believe Kendrick is one of the better defensive big men in the game today, and that's all I'm going to be asking him to focus on. DEFENSE. Help Dirk out out there big fella!
  14. coachx selects Tyson Chandler I'll let him explain it later My pick shall be up momentarily
  15. Good pick, I was hoping he would fall to me in the third round. Oh well, UNDRAFTED is still out there
  16. With the 21st pick in this draft I select Jrue Holiday. When starting a team I ideally would want to start off by picking an already established superstar/star (Dirk 14th pick), and then select a young talented stud to eventually take the mantle. He might be a reach talent wise for the 21st pick but he fits my classification of a PG in this league (an athletic, fast guard who can score but who PRIMARILY looks to get teammates involved) & after how I saw him produce this year: 14ppg 45%FG 6ast 1.5stl 2turns. Then seeing how he maintained his avg. against the Heat there was no way I was going to select UNDRAFTED and leave Holiday on the board until late round 3.
  17. I struggled with not picking him, his severe lack of defense really hinders him as "the guy" in my opinion.
  18. Dirk Nowitzki When building a team for the next 4-5 years, I don't want to give the keys to a young up and coming star. I want my team to be led by a veteran. Dirk is the hardest PF in the league to gameplan against now that he has shown that smaller athletic fowards no longer can frustrate him. With the correct mix of talent around him, Dirk can lead any team to the Finals for the next 4-5 years; and with most of the superstars gone off the board I pick Dirk. Sorry for the late post, had a new member introduced to the family today!
  19. Try to not say an undrafted player's name (even though Wade has been drafted). Just say UNDRAFTED.
  20. Just for curiosity's sake, what would a deal like that look like?
  21. Good luck to everybody, hope my two pick will still be there for me.
  22. I wasn't asking if it was Q. Rich, I thought there was one more player on the court with him.
