  1. No way in hell does Stern allow that match-up to happen. You got a better chance of him allowing the Hawks to get one of those Lakers trades.
  2. If LeBron was somehow added to this team with no one leaving the Hawks would dominate the NBA even without a 7ft center
  3. Well that puts my claim for JJ and Josh to give up a bit of money to rest. I tried to come up with a diplomatic solution to keep both and be able to grab some talent in free agency but failed. Thanks for explaining it Diesel.
  4. I wish some of our guys would take pay cuts and restructure their contracts like some of our Falcons have done recently. You say you want to win, but you are raping the payroll (it was given to them yes...but my point still stands). If you really want to win, give up 2-4 million and see what happens. Just said that and have no knowledge on if NBA players can restructure their contracts. Could someone more CBA knowledgeable help me out?
  5. Wow...so their fans are scared of what Horford being on the court does for us and their applauding Teague for his play this series (unlike some of our fellow squawkers)
  6. Can't tell if serious or not, but a rage quit is when you prematurely quit participating or watching an activity due to immense rage from something you feel shouldn't be happening.I.E.: Jeff Teague being the leading scorer for the team going into late 4th quarter, showing he wants the ball, but LD telling Joe Johnson (Who isn't in the groove) to win the game = rage quit
  7. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=885ll3g Works out better for all three teams in my opinion. Although I want no part in a team with Carmelo Anthony on it.
  8. I don't think you got the joke Randy. Utah is polygamist heaven, but shush don't tell anyone.
  9. Some simple advice from another new poster. Don't post anything you aren't prepared to have sh!t stomped into the ground and fed back to you. Some older posters have low tolerances (especially the ones that just made a post about being on the verge of violence) when it comes to wishful thinking and cap space. Don't let this stop you from posting in the future.
  10. If he's an upgrade over Collins I'll take him.
  11. Has Damp actually shown any sort of skills in the games he's participated in?
  12. You definitely have the best rebounding team. But as far as best defensive team goes, your team might have bigger name defenders; but I like to believe that I have a good collection of defenders as well. (Excluding Dirk and Korver)
  13. PG- Jrue Holiday/ Lou Williams SG-Landry Fields/ Brandon Roy/ Kyle Korver SF- Gerald Wallace/ Omri Caspi PF- Dirk Nowitzki/ Glen Davis/ Luc Richard Mbah a Moute C- Kendrick Perkins/ Jason Thompson/ Antonio McDyess COACH- Nate McMilian Still not a horrible team in my opinion even considering two of my players aren't playing this year. (I'm calling it the McMilian Effect; he never gets to work with a full healthy team.) My starting PG Jrue Holiday is averaging 14ppg, 4apg, 3rpg, with a +13.09 eff. Not bad for a young starting PG. His back-up Louis Williams isn't playing much worse averaging 16ppg, 3apg, 2rpg, with a +12.97 eff. Landry Fields is bringing a steady improvement to the team after a consistent rookie year averaging 10ppg, 2apg, 4rpg, and a +12.23 eff. Brandon Roy's retirement hurt my team, however if we do plan on actually finishing this I ask to have him replaced with Kawhi Leonard of the SAS. He's averaging 7ppg, 1apg, 5rpg and a +10 eff. My 3pt specialist Kyle Korver is averaging 40% from behind the line (Just enough that you have to guard him). Gerald Wallace is still being "Crash" averaging 16ppg, 3apg, 7rpg, and a +16.79 eff. Omri Casspi aka "Jewish Jordan" isn't having his best year averaging 7ppg, 1apg, 3rpg, and a +7.56 eff; but his playing time wouldn't allow him to do much better playing behind Wallace who is averaging 35mpg this year. Dirk is Dirk, no explanation should be needed. Glen "Big Baby" Davis has been traded to the Magic where it was thought that he would become their starting PF and increase his production. But the sudden rise of Ryan Anderson has halted that plan and Davis' production at 7ppg, 1apg, 5rpg, and a +6.88 eff. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute's minutes have been dropping in MIL and his production has capped off at 7ppg, 5rpg, and a +8.59 eff. Kendrick Perkins' stat line doesn't really impress you averaging 4ppg, 1apg, 6rpg, and a +8.58 eff. However it is his tremendous team defense and his no easy baskets mentality that add to his value. He's lost a good portion of his minutes to Demarcus Cousins but Jason Thompson is still producing good enough to be a serviceable big man in the NBA with 8ppg, 1apg, 6rpg and a +10.94 per. Antonio McDyess isn't playing this year (don't know if he retired or just not in the league). I didn't draft to get as many superstars as I could on one team, I drafted one superstar and surrounded him with good talented men who know their roles and play them well. I think that is what helped Dallas upset Miami's Big Three as well. Everyone on our team would know to look for Dirk when the game is on the line to get it done for us; there will be no confusion over who will take the shot unlike some teams. This is a team that won't get picked to go very far but surprise a lot of people when we're still alive late in the playoffs.
  14. The reason I've heard is that the reward money isn't worth risking potential injury to the player. So agents and owners advise against stars participating.
  15. He's replacing Joe in the shooting stars competition, not the 3pt contest. Per NBA.com http://www.nba.com/2012/allstar/2012/02/24/all-star-replacements/index.html
  16. Came across this article while searching for relative Hawks news. I don't know the writer or if he normally is a Hawk basher; but this was a good read. Here's the link: http://www.hoopinion...ssroads-un.html
  17. I see 8 wins, 3 games that can go any way, and 2 out right losses
  18. I was so excited to see what I thought was the new Marvin at the beginning of the season; but now it seems like Duck is rearing his head back out. D@mn my optimism!
  19. I will be working during that time tonight. Can somebody who is going be sure to post something up for me to sneak and look at?
  20. That sounds good to me, but will it actually happen is still to be determined.
  21. Is he available? And wouldn't LD's offensive plan conflict with "The System"?
  22. I'm all for the Hawks running more, but...... Lets leave the ball-handling to the guards.
  23. Watson has just re-signed with the Jazz so he's out. The supposed SnT with the Bulls hasn't happened yet so I wouldn't try to account for Brewer just yet If there is a trade, the Bulls do not want to give up Azik. They like his potential too much. (I would climb on top of my house and praise Sund's name if he could pull this off however )
