  1. Why!? I wouldn't trade Big Dog for Rose, we should look into getting rid of Big Dog for picks and expiring contracts. Rose plays with no heart and has 4 years left on his deal (Dog only has 2) I think they would want Dunleavy, so they would probably ship off Crawford (replaces Arenas) and Rose (needs to go). Salaries don't match, but that's what Chicago needs to do. 1: Jason Williams 2: *Jarvis Hayes 3: Mike Dunleavy 4: Tyson Chandler 5: Eddy Curry That's a good starting lineup. Dunleavy/Hayes will never end up demanding the big bucks when their deals run out, they don't have that type of potential. It's got shooters, and fundamentals and talent. Wish the Hawks could put together a young team like that......
  2. Maybe. I think they might part with Crawford only if it would mean getting rid of Rose and getting Mike Dunleavy (friends with Jay). That would be a good trade for them IMO. They want to get rid of Jalen BAAAAAADLY
  3. I think the 1st 2 go together. There will be a new head coach, and the new GM will be ordered to cut salary and start all over.
  4. Nazr for Jamal Crawford? You can't be serious. Chicago fans want to deal Jay Williams and Jalen Rose for cap space, they WANT JC. I don't think anyone will take on Rose for them, but I definately think they would have JC over Jay. And it would take ALOT more than a mediocre 8th man to trade for one of them
  5. Well, we will dump them on someone. Cause no way are the owners (whoever they be) gonna pay the luxury tax. This puts us in great position for the future
  6. 1. Theo to Phoenix for Gugliotta and the #16 overall pick 2. Shareef to Houston for Glen Rice, Moochie Norris, Bostjan Nachbar, and a future 1st round pick 3. Big Dog and CC to Golden State for Chris Mills, Bobby Sura, and Jiri Welsch 4. JT (S&T) and Henderson to Toronto for Morris Peterson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Lindsay Hunter, Michael Bradley What does this accomplish? the worst team BY FAR in 2004 and $45 MILLION in salaries expire at the end of next season. So we got many interesting prospects, with only ONE bad contract. Not to mention a SUPER-HIGH draft pick in 2004 and Houston's pick in 2004. Also, two first round picks this year where we can take some young guys with alot of potential (highschoolers)
  7. Hawks are going to cut salary, NO DOUBT! Big Dog for Rose is not doing that. Big Dog has 2 years left on his deal, Rose has 4. Not gonna happen
  8. Gotta go big IMO. I think we should take James Lang
  9. TOUGH schedule! we got 10 games against teams that will compete hard for the post-season! .... or that are expected to at least
  10. Not to mention a SUPER-HIGH draft pick in 2004 and Houston's pick. Draft James Lang with Indiana's pick, and draft Travis Outlaw with the Phoenix pick. (TWO HS'ers)
  11. I don't think Anthony is even a lock at #3. If a team like Toronto got #3, I think they would take TJ Ford or Chris Bosh
  12. UNC - Roy UCLA - Howland (I think that's already been announced) Kansas - Crean UGA hires Floyd if sanctions aren't coming, and a locale if they are coming.
  13. So that means we'll win the lottery a year after the Lebron James hunt. Heh, I wish. And why Doc Rivers? I would think he is staying in Orlando since he has a superstar and Gooden (young), and some cap space. I know McMillan is unhappy with ownership, and Silas doesn't expect to get a new contract. Another thing, didn't Magic hold the GM job for the Lakers and then struggle alot? He was either a GM or a coach, I can't remember. And I think the idea of Nique getting promoted to either asstnt coach or asstnt GM is a LOCK!!
  14. Aren't Bird/Carr already committed to the upcoming Charlotte expansion team? I think we will see JT packaged with Henderson for some expiring contracts and future draft picks (stockpile for the future - might get lucky).
  15. New logo is nice, now I just can't wait to see what the new uniforms look like.
  16. I don't think Big Dog is going anywhere, and Newble is decent off the bench. I think the Hawks should be looking at SGs and big men in the draft cause I'm not sold on Glover nor do I like Nazr/Hendu as our only backups. Marquis Estill in maybe round 2 and Wade in the first round?
  17. He is a better cover corner than Rossum, which isn't saying much. I think he is like Buchannon with less speed. Plays 15 yards off the receiver and still gets burned (just like Buchannon). At least that's what all the Packer fans said about him, but they could still be jealous over last season's playoff loss.
  18. No need to rush a return and play injured. Grant Hill did that and it screwed up his career.
  19. I really like Brian Cook. Big body, and has really come into his own as a complete player and a leader in his senior year at Illinois. 6'10/240. Has near 3pt range on his jumper and is super athletic. Other: Marcus Hatten, Justin Hamilton, Ronald Dupree, Jeff Newton
  20. So what do you think the chances are of the Braves going after Tejada? Miguel is a free agent after this season, and the A's have already said that they can't re-sign him
  21. but I don't think he would want to come to Athens, where probation is probably coming very soon. I think Tim Floyd and Tom Crean are the best candidates. Assuming they want the job...
  22. Jeff Van Gundy is the most persued coach on the market and could pick and choose which team he wants to go to. Why would he go to the Hawks who have a limited fan base, bad management and cap [censored]? Same thing for Silas..... he's in a much better situation in New Orleans I think. I don't think we'll be able to get a veteran allstar coach. The Hawks will probably have to either keep Stotts, take a risk on a college coach or take a risk on an ex-player. So what about Kenny the jet Smith? As much as I'd miss him on TNT, I think he can be a good pro coach. He's young too
  23. Raymond Felton will be even better than Ford/Hinrich/Ridnour. Ford is a great college player, but we only know about him cause of his speed. He is faster than everyone on the court in college, but in the NBA..... he won't be able to use his speed as an advantage cause the game is already fast in the pros. Hinrich isn't even that GREAT of a college player. He just doesn't do too much, and he's not supposed to because he isn't very talented but he is smart. Not athletic enough to be a starting PG. Ridnour is like Hinrich. He isn't that great, but he's better I think. More offense and is a better dribbler and has good size but is not very athletic. Now if you could combine Ford/Hinrich/Ridnour together, that's an all-pro point guard!
