I've said it when the season started and I'll say it again in the playoffs...... DEFENSE WILL BE THE TELLING STORY FOR THESE HAWKS!!!! 

I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. Game 4 will tell us how far or not this team will go in the playoffs. 

I dvr every Hawks game and that was a defensive foul. He extended his arm and then proceeded to run over Trae.

He still isnt quick but he is a lot more explosive than I initially thought. His straight line speed once he gathers is  pretty fast. He can usually blow by defenders with no dribble. Still methodical and robotic with the ball.

I still get Kawhi vibes offensively, just a very raw version. Defensively he still has a ways to go. Kind of looks like skinny Melo on defense right now haha .

What was confirmed is that the Hawks defense is the Hawks best offense.

This isn't anything new. Trae never moves without the ball. That's a major flaw in his game which Kobe pointed out on one of his Detail episode.

Offense is never a concern when it comes to the Hawks. It's the defense and grit that has me worried. CLE and N.Y punked the Hawks...plus we give up a lot of three's due to the "protect the paint" defense. If the Hawks don't commit on the defensive end Consistently..then the playoffs will not be a reality this season. 

Steve Nash is just mad because he didn't think of it first . Trae is just crafty and I noticed he didn't do it tonight......I wonder if the Association had a talk with him.

That's a big blow. The best defensive guard we have. He gave gave Trae so much problems when he was on the Bulls that we traded for him.

I've never wanted Luka. I was still on the Trae Young hype train during his  beginning of his college season. Plus, the ownership needed to draft someone that could embody the culture of Atlanta.

determine how far the Hawks go this season. I think it's safe to say that in the first two years this offense has never been a concern. At full health this team could be very dangerous and if they continue to put that type effort on defense CONSISTENTLY like tonight....Oh, brother the Association better watch out! 

Clark Clint wasn't needed tonight. I honestly believe the Hawks coaching staff was also aware of this. Depth and defense will determine how well the Hawks play this season.

We all already knew this. I think we should keep Millsap,but for a fair price. If not, then rebuild, go young and save cap to go after Klay Thompson.

This is a load of crock.            

I would look at other options before I would let Millsap go.  

I've figured it out. When Howard is in the game we have great defense in the paint, but our 3pt defense is awful. When Howard comes out, the Hawks play much better priemeter defense,but the old Hawks problem persist with poor inside defense. Add in the poor play of Baze and Korver's inconsistencies and you'll have the team we have now. This is a real problem that looks like it isn't going anywhere no time soon. 

Talk to me about Howard after he's been in Bud's system for a season. 

Dwight is not the problem. They are going through growing pains. Maybe just maybe the Hawks need to start inside out.  Get Dwight more involved from jump street.

Bud's system isn't being ran smoothly.The biggest component that the Hawks lost this off season was CHEMISTRY.
