  1. I'd go for Monroe and keep Horford... Millsap is going to command a much larger contract next offseason. I know he stepped up last year when Horford went down but I didn't really get to see enough with both of them on the floor to determine if it is a good fit. The only problem with moving Horford to the 4 is that he can't stretch the floor and shoot the long ball. I'd go for a sign and trade for Monroe ( which I heard Detroit would want to do if they don't match a max offer ). Send them Millsap, Salmons ( salary dump and maybe a second round pick to make them happy. That should leave us with about $8 mill or so to low ball Deng with lol.

  2. Demario Harvey what do u call a team that goes from 3 best in the east to 8 best THE ATLANTA HAWKS. how jeff teague sorry ass gonna try and hit a free throw and miss it but then try to miss a free throw and hit. WHAT HAS GEORGIA DONE TO THE SPORTS WORLD TO DESERVE ALL THESE TEAMS THAT CHOKE UP ALL THE TIME. thats y all these sports fans here look all old and deteriorated cuz the stress these sorry ass teams is putting us through. and they better not get on the post game show and talk about energy. thats all they say WE NEEDED ENERGY. DA HELL THAT MEANS...... they say it all the time yet they look like walking dead stand ins every dam game. CAN WE JUST WIN SOMETHING dont even matter wat it is in could be ping pong as long as it brings something to this sorry ass sports state.

  3. The first day we signed Paul I knew it was a great move... We got him for an awesome price and I knew he would fit well. I remember there were many opposed to the move because he was a "B grade" type player and everyone was pissed at Ferry. Maybe this was mainly the Smoove lovers... But there is a reason Paul Millsap made the all star team his first year as a Hawks and Smoove could not do it in 9.

  4. I'm done with going to games. Went to about 25 last year and already 6 this year. Philips ushers have been really unpleasant this year and they've changed their policies about meeting the players pre game... Plus our main security guard acts stupid and makes the Hawks players sign in black that is usually faded, I'm so done with Philips Arena.

  5. I came across this on Craigslist today...

Someone buy the Hawks, PLEASE! (Atlanta )

For sale: A professional basketball team within the largest city in the south. This team already has an established fan base, however, those numbers are dwindling quickly. Not to worry!! These existing fans CAN BE RETAINED and new fans added within a short time.

Requirements: Potential buyer must be single individual; this position is no longer open to an amalgam of sue-happy, squabbling do nothings. If you are interested in the purchase of the team to use ownership as bragging rights at the country club, this position is NOT for you. This buyer must be goal oriented and driven towards the attainment and retainment of super star athletes, rebuilding and driving a sustainable brand and achieving the ultimate goal of an NBA championship REPEATIDLY. Those interested must be invested in the city of Atlanta as equally as the Atlanta Hawks, i.e NOT MOVING THE TEAM TO ANOTHER CITY.

The team is valued at roughly $200 million, however it could probably be attained for a STEAL at $150 million.

In addition, selling jerseys, posters, signed balls, or any other memorabilia from any other team in efforts just to make an extra buck will result in immediate termination.

Interested candidates can contact the Atlanta Hawks front office directly.

    Atlanta Hawks: Louis Williams, SG
    Posted Image

    Contract: 2 years, $10.7 million

Team Needs: A full-size shooting guard

    Why He Should Go

Actually, I think the Atlanta Hawks are pretty well-balanced, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they stood pat all season long.

But if Dennis Schröder and John Jenkins both show a lot of development before the trade deadline, moving Lou Williams could become feasible.

At 6'1", Williams is woefully undersized as a 2 but doesn't play at all like a 1.

A bigger wing who can more effectively defend shooting guards and small forwards in the east like Carmelo Anthony, Paul George and LeBron James could make the Hawks a top-four or -five team in their conference.

"But I see his vision in a way," Horford said. "He wants us to be a team that plays with more pace, that plays faster, very similar to how San Antonio played. To me, as far as players' vision, I don't really, Danny and I don't really talk about that. To me, I'm just kind of focusing on what we have now. I'm sure when the time comes, he'll talk to me about certain issues, what we should do with the team."

Horford has two years left on the five-year, $60 million extension he got from Atlanta in 2010. He can see his former University of Florida teammate, Joakim Noah, with a similar deal in Chicago -- and with Derrick Rose. He can see the Heat and the Knicks and the Nets, loaded up with multiple stars, trying to win now -- and the Cavaliers and Wizards of the east getting better.

"I do realize that, and I do want to win. I do want to be in a really good position to compete. I wonder. I do wonder what's going to be our next move as a team. But for now, all I can focus on is this team, this year. But absolutely -- I want to compete. I want to be part of a winning, successful, championship team. I do trust that Danny's moving in the right direction, but like you said, I have been in seven years already. Some things are going to have to happen the next few years." -

Ferry needs to get something done... If we do not trade up in the 2014 draft I have no hope in this franchise.
