We posted at exactly the same time lol, whoops

Monta is ok and all but he isn't worth $10 million a year... Definitely not $12 million. We could get 2 quality free agents for that price. We could probably sign 2 of the following players that would really help us out and would seemingly fit the #SpursEast system a bit better.
Possibly:
Gary Neal ( if we can get him out of the Spurs grasps )
Mo Williams ( whom Ferry has already been talking to )
Corey Brewer ( if we can't land a center )
Bynum ( risky but cheaper than Monta and a center )
Speights ( fairly cheap center and a friend of Horford's )
Oden ( if ALL ELSE FAILS )
Ronnie Brewer ( aggressive defender, may fit the scheme )
DuJuan Blair ( Knows the Spurs system... a small big but I'd take him for the right price)
Pekovic ( Doubt we can get him out of Minny )
-
His scoring kinda reminds me of Gilbert Arenas. (which is good to me cause he was one of my favorite players in the league)
-
No deal has went down yet because Ellis wants $12 mill per year.
-
Nope this will be our last even remotely big money signing.
Maybe Ferry is trying to get Monta a bit cheaper or something... Been talking quite a while. Guess my source jumped the gun.
-
Will we have enough money to sign Bynum or any other center at this point?
-
He will guarantee the Hawks a worse draft pick than we'd get without him.
He isn't that bad. Coach Bud and Ferry want this guy for a reason. Maybe he fits our scheme.
-
He isn't that bad... Considers himself as good as D Wade too haha.

Very happy he's gone... VERY HAPPY bye bye J Brick. Thought I'd send you out with the greatest highlight videos ever made. You're welcome.

Yes he can play SF and very efficiently. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise. He is the same size as Marvin but way more explosive off the dribble... He can shoot 3's (55% last year)... PNR player that commands the ball.

Kyle Korver and Paul Millsap... Top free agents. lol
Was anyone else even talking about Millsap? I don't know... Maybe he and Ferry had a deal waiting until after the Howard drama was resolved, but I don't know how you call Paul Millsap a top free agent. Or a reserve shooter. Good players, but top free agents? eh.
They were both top 5 free agents within their position... Millsap wat like #3 I think.

Atlanta has a new motto to consider:
It isn't Birmingham, it isn't Memphis, it's Atlanta for heaven's sake.
-
Smoove at the 3 > Millsap at the 3
Alright you're done
-
Yea the "fans are terrible" especially one's that still aren't satisfied in signing top free agents like Korver and Millsap... I can't wrap my head around that. You guys are killing me with this stuff. Please be patient... Ferry is not done yet.

My dude Scrublove coming thru in the clutch. Nice stuff bro.
Tired of the hate and feeling of defeat a large amount of Hawks fans have because our super team didn't happen... Okay well it didn't happen, Ferry did everything he could to get us a star ( and he will succeed eventually ) it takes a little time to make a franchise appealing to a star... Yes this is a rebuilding process but Ferry is going to put a contender out there on the court in hopes of starting a new tradition of winning that will hopefully become attractive to stars in the near future.

Millsap, a 28-year-old, 6-8 power forward played seven seasons with the Jazz, averaging 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Utah last season. In 2012, he posted a 21.2 PER and had a true shooting percentage (factoring threes and free throws) of 55 percent last season. Millsap is a monster inside and able to stretch the floor.
He's a perfect compliment to center Al Horford. Horford, too often thought of as a power forward, has played exceptionally well at center, even better than when at power forward, over the past few years. He's learned to operate down low, and in today's small-ball NBA, there's no reason to think that strategy can't continue to work. Additionally, Millsap can work in the small forward spot with Horford at the four, if the Hawks find a center. (PossiblyOmer Asik if talks continue for a sign-and-trade with the Rockets for Josh Smith.)

I underlined the parts you need to know. This is was a great signing... We needed another bruiser with a high BBIQ, and apparently he can even play a little SF

I love most of you guys. Dolfan especially. I guess this is the end. I would just get banned anyway in the middle of the season with a rant v. the Hawks anyway. It's best I retire now. A lot of guys are amazing posters I and enjoy all sides of the spectrum. Thank you hawksquawk, you are the greatest and Dolfan, dat graphics!
This is ridiculous... Acting like Paul is a bad signing... We did needed another PF after all. Ferry had his reasons for this signing. Calm down.

Jennings has more upside than Teague... Maybe Ferry does this move because we need one more solid scorer. Maybe he will fit well in Buds scheme. Jennings is younger and has a better chance of being developed into a nice PG in the league.
Not sure how we will be able to sign Bynum as well... Hmm.
