Where are the Hawks being counted out...? They're not even mentioned in this article and everything else I've seen still has them as a playoff team.
Writers are 50/50 about the Hawks chances... I'm talking about the idiotic superstar loving casual NBA fans.

Everyone is counting the Hawks out... Do they not realize we've gotten much better? Firstly, losing Smoove made us better automatically then we went out and added some quality players... Pretty funny that these writers think Cavs, Raptors, Pistons, and even Celtics will all be better than the Hawks. Pretty hysterical.

It's either him or Ayón... At least at the moment. No point in keeping Horford at center full time with 2 other bigs on the roster.

He is the closest thing we have to a center on this team (as it is now). I really like his game and love his nickname. Plus this top comment under "Hawks signs Pero interview" reads... These foreign guys are gonna make us the the most loved/known NBA team overseas eventually.

The Atlanta Hawks have claimed Gustavo Ayón off waivers, a league source told RealGM.
Ayón was released by the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday with their glut in the frontcourt, but the 6-foot-10 big man received heavy interest due to his inside presence and reasonable contract worth $1.5 million next season.
Ayón is expected to get a fair trail to earn a spot in a Hawks rotation that has lacked a young, developing center alongside Al Horford.
Ayón, 28, has averaged 4.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in two NBA seasons. The Hawks will be his fourth team. -

I feel like teams really want Oden because he is finally showing that he is good to go. Actually working out for teams unlike Bynum... I'd definitely bring him in. There is a reason Portland passed on Durant back in the day... Or maybe they were just stupid... Either way pick him up Ferry!

I really like him, very nice dude and can play pretty well. Great story going to the military and coming back to play in the NBA. On a side note he is from Georgia as well... Yes, pick him up.

I'd bring Aldridge in with Millsap and Horford... Though not sure if he would really make us "that much" better. He and Horford have a similar play style.

Yea Ferry said he is "looking" to add a center but doesn't want to bring in a random big body that doesn't fit the system. He wants Horford to play the 4 & 5 not just the 5. Which is fine with me... I've had it up to
with scrubafide bigs.

I disagree, he's too far off and we don't need to start his NBA clock yet because by the time he's really ready he will be up as a RFA. Lets let another team pay to develop him for a year or two and we can get the value from it.
Hmm but the thing is, will Ferry sign another big? He says he has been looking but the F/A pool is just scrubs now... Maybe a trade of some sort. Luckily Muscala looks good.

We need his big body down there... He is very lanky and under weight but I think it may be smart just to bring him over now so he can start learning the NBA game now. I doubt we sign a big in free agency and I don't see a trade any time soon. I love Bebe's defensive ability, guy is a great shot blocker... Just what we need. Thoughts?

I don't and have never jumped on any squawker for saying anything about any player on Hawksquawk or any forum. If a player comes to a forum, he may be assualted because that is what most forum fans do. Even the best players have fans that just don't like them. So they know if they encroach, they should have thick skin.
But the day that this man is resigned to come back to the Hawks, to have to look onto his personal twitter site and see some fan of the team he's going to talking about how much of a lame duck he is.... serves what purpose?? Didn't Scrub have a forum that he could speak openly about how much he disliked Teague? Does he now how to go to Teague's own recreational site and do the same? In this day in time, it's no different than going past his house and throwing eggs on it. Would you do that Scrubb? Or worse?
My thing is that there's a strong community of NBA players on twitter. They see how their friend are treated by the "fans". For you to flex your hide behind the computer screen muscles and talk shit about a player in that public arena hurts everything that the team is trying to do. Talking about culture change....

Braves have won a ton of division titles and actually have a championship, we have like 4 since being in Atlanta and no where near a championship... ECF titles would be nice but divisions are the first step...
