  1. Radio silence on this… we gonna see at 4:59 PM?
  2. Washington was never even close to dipping toes into Murray market.
  3. As of this AM I am in the notion that SAS is losing leverage fast. Yesterday was their peak.. Everyone knows Murray is on the market now and not as many suitors came out the woodwork to show interest. It could end up being 2 FRP plus Pick swap. Don't be surprised. Just remember this is a SELL HIGH moment for them and they can risk a FRP going into trade deadline if he declines even a little due to attitude of not getting to greener pastures.
  4. Not if it's Charlotte 2023, 2025 heavy protection, and 2027 pick swap. Just because I say FRP doesn't mean it's unprotected. Big difference in the deal when you talk protections.
  5. The final deal will be Gallo OR JC plus 3 firsts. Or JC to a 3rd team for that 4th first. Knicks are out, T-Wolves only checked-in, Miami only checked-in (supposedly). Miami would have to deal with Kyle Lowry being butthurt vs. Murray. Knicks.. all you have to do is do salary projections on their existing talent and add Murray in and they got problems long term to keep him. I say they are out. Spurs have no leverage so they can decide to hold Murray hostage until trade deadline (and take a worse deal - 2 FRP plus salary) or the frameworks now. Hawks Ideal: 1 or 2 FRP plus Salary Spurs Ideal: 4 FRP plus Salary Happy Medium: 3 FRP plus Salary At this point I think the flushing out better deals phase is past and we are waiting on Gallo signature vs. JC 3rd partner recipient.
  6. I don't think the completed deal will be an overpay at all but it's fun to see how gaudy the "leaks" are. That's why posting it is hilarious. However, one thing I find interesting is for all the Knicks fanboys there hasn't been even an inkling of engagement from them (Leon). What that shows is this is a ONE HORSE RACE.
  7. Supes, calm down. Neither of you have the info so from now on it's just about chatter. I believe the Zach Klein tweet only and I believe that framework worked before Gallo snagged it. If the Hawks can get a Collins framework done or a Gallo framework done that is it.
  8. No mention of Knicks/Murray on the Spurs fan "insider" side speaks volumes: https://www.spurstalk.com/spurs-rumblings-nba-free-agency/ The leverage is back in our court it is just about getting the Gallo "snag" figured out. My guess is he definitely isn't going to make it easy to buy him out at the right price.
  9. I think yesterday was the top ($327). We are on the backside now so let's see how far it slides. I'm thinking Gallo Expiring + 2027 FRP
  10. Hawks weathered the storm of Spurs trying out-leverage. If you look at the details of potential trade partners and the mechanics, they’re back to square one. But also they have Murray would also has his own opinion of how things have transpired and probably has the seed planted that he deserves to be in greener pastures. Today is the day folks.
  11. Exactly. Plus they would have to lock up max extensions for all 3. Murray, Barrett, and Brunson... When Knicks traded Burks and Noel the salary matching got extremely tough now to make a trade work unless Spurs take Fournier or Randle and also send out another asset back to Knicks. Fournier is 3 year deal and Randle has 4 years. They also are hard to move contracts with negative value. Think JC contract and why it hasn't been traded.
  12. Like I said earlier.. the Spurs overplayed their hand and either will accept a lesser deal from the Hawks or no deal. Knicks likely will not have the pieces to make a deal for Murray..
  13. Leon Rose plus Sam Rose plus Jalens Dad is a powerful tampering plus more money to an unrestricted FA. If Leon doesn’t close this deal this is the biggest egg on his face ever.
  14. Vastly different contracts.. $27m per year for 4 years vs $21m per year for 5 years.
  15. I don’t think there is a market for Randle or Fournier. Those are long shots since they are undesirable 3 and 4 year contracts and the Knicks need salary matching too My educated guess is Leon is going all in on Brunson and not actually considering Murray until maybe later. My gut feeling is the Spurs overplayed their hand and their going to get that confirmation when Leon gets a little cold with them. If Knicks want a bigger fish they are going to need all their picks.
  16. That is a big unknown. High chance they got Gallo to sign off but Spurs got cold feet and wanted another pick (4 total) with the salary matching. That’s why JC came back in the picture because Atlanta put in good faith to find a 4th pick in the league from JC. JaMychal Green for a high FRP is looking like a huge overpay right now.
  17. Spurs taking back Fournier or Randle without a guarantee they can reflip? I don’t see it.. it’s a new big wrench in a plan to stack Murray with Brunson. They can take Murray into space only if Brunson doesn’t sign.
  18. 2012-2022 real hawks are nba champs in sturts eyes
  19. I’m calling it now.. these Knick moves are going to force SAS to take the Hawks deal. Just doing the cap math if Brunson is 1000% going to sign which is like guaranteed now with Mavs not matching and no other suitors then the cap math gets fuzzy as hell for Knicks unless they get more teams involved.. Pistons? Lol
  20. I just realized that if Spurs are waiting on the Knicks offer they gotta wait until Friday because they aren’t going take back salary via TPE to not fit Brunson and I’m not sure they have other matchings unless some combination less than Fournier. Also Noel and Burks were their expiring trade chips!!! Even then Spurs might risk *active* market drying and Knicks lowering offer if Atlanta bows out. You played yourself then Wright. Schlenk 3D Chess at work
  21. Back door deals x 1000. Leon Rose at work.
  22. So yeah Ayton… no market for him now. Just call it… RIP
  23. Nah the real kicker is Murray asks a max to Knicks in 2024 then they paying 3 max contracts and Randle for a play-in team
  24. Mavs fans not feeling great rn. As for Murray. I’m sure Knicks wanna throw 5 picks and a TPE if they want. Let them lock down and max their capspace without any big men (Randle don’t count) and watch them get cooked.
