Ehh youre paying Korver because he is the best 3 point shooter in the game. People can say we over paid but he had other offers coming of this same magnitude. JR shoots 35% of 3. Kyle shoots 45%. JR gets a LOT more FT attempts though Thats still just two complementary players for an All-Star and top 7 at his position depending on the year.

Batum is no where near worth Horford. There would have to be a lot more in that deal. CJ Mccollum? 2 1st rounders?

If were keeping Josh I want him strictly playing PF. Which would mean we would need to flip Horford for a SF/SG. That is not an easy task because Horford is worth much more than most of the available ones.

Its all perfect in theory. But you put Josh Smith in space and people are going to back off of him tremendously. Then it is all mental of whether he takes the jump shot or drives the ball. 9 years of history shows he puts up a shot at a tune of 30%ish

If he is the last option I give him a 1 year 12 million contract. I would still rather give Pekovic 4 years at 11-12 a piece just because you know what you get with him.

You make it sound like we can get by without spending money. We HAVE to spend money. You can scream high in the mountain for one year deals for veterans so we can save our money. But you know what. You might be right. But the only way Rondo comes here is if Smith is here. And I really dont see a frontcourt of Dwight-Horford-Smith working too well. This is a pipe dream anyway. It will just be fun to see what happens.

I think our best option that may still be available, although highly unlikely would be a team of Rondo-Schröder Korver-Lou-Jenkins-Cunningham Brewer-Korver- Josh-Musc-Scott Dwight-Vet Min-Musc Clearly we would trade Horford for Rondo which I really dont want to do, but the team it would create would be contenders.
