I have a question. I see the Rockets realllllyyyy want to get rid of Lin. Is it at all possible to SnT them Jeff Teague for Lin and Asik?

Yup. I see people complaining about the guys we are getting, and as far as next year is concerned. Sure it seems odd. But if you look towards the future this team could be stacked.

Thats my view lol. At least with Monta we have a chance to see a 35 point performance every now and then.

Something popped up on my Facebook about a 10 million/year contract for Monta. Hmmm. Ive also seen around a lot that he would be a good sixth man in the Crawford/JR mold. However he isnt nearly as good from 3. And we already have a good six man. On the surface we could have a lot of very good players around, but how will Bud work them all into a cohesive team?

As someone mentioned he is a good buy low sell high candidate. His 3p% has really dipped the last two years, but if he can get that back around 33% we might have a 24ppg player on our hands. Pair that with a solid year from Millsap and we could have two pieces that would be highly attractive to other teams.

I have no clue how we would get Asik now. But then again I had no clue how we would get rid of JJ. I agree there arent any gamechangers left, but there are some solid pieces we could pair with a star in a few years. Like someone said Gerald Henderson would be a good fit. He is a RFA, yes? I know some of us want to tank, but I would like to at least have a solid team around once we get our star player. Horford, Kaman?, Henderson, Korver, Lou, Millsap are good supporting players. I am not calling Horford support, but as yall have stated he isnt really a #1 type of star.

I have no clue how JJ, Millsap, and Horford would play together but I love Hickson. We could always just have like a PF show and whoever picks up good momentum we would use as trade bait.

See IMO if we get Asik we have a legit chance to beat every team in the playoffs except the Heat. It may not happen every year, but we could get to the Eastern conference Finals in the next 3years, ala the Grizz. Then we have respect. Then we can tell players, "Look. We cant get passed the Heat yet. Come to Atlanta and help us win a championship"

In all reality, you dont win in the NBA by drafting. You win it in Free Agency. Right now no one wants to come here because we are seen as a joke. Like someone said, Ferry is trying to build a respectable franchise. 2-3 years from now who is to say Kyrie Irving or John Wall wont come down? Or Klay Thompson/Curry/Barnes? Our best bet isnt tanking. Our best bet is to build something respectable and attract players in the future. Oh and trades. Millsap and Korver will be mighty nice bait if nothing else.

So these tanking superstar players. Hmmm lets look Carmelo-No rings Durant-No Rings Rose- No rings Lebron- 2, took leaving the team that drafted him and 2 superstars to get them Kobe-Shaq for the first part, then rebuilding a whole team around him Wade-Shaq, see Lebron So we should tank this year, get a superstar next year and wait 6+ years for a championship? All the while running the risk of having our star leave? All these lottery guys dont have many rings, and the ones that do took forever and a whole lot of players around them to do so.
