I honestly dont know anything about Millsap so feel free to completely tell me Im a moron. He is 6'8. Shot 33% from 3. Averaged 1.3 steals. Could we play him at the 3? Asik-Horford-Millsap-Korver-PG(Whoever that is) is not a bad lineup. Does Millsap have quick feet? Could he handle SF?

I dont want to judge the Hawks going forward by the Hawks of the past. Who knows where we would be if we hadnt wasted picks on Acie Law, Sheldon, Marvin, etc. That is what really held us back. Not the fact that we were a middle of the road team. Ferry can draft in the middle of the round. Teague and Horford are really the only two picks that were worth their salt. And that is going back quite a ways. Our drafting screwed us over more than anything.

I feel like your arguing things that no one has stated. I havent read through the whole thread though. I know I never said any of that. Ferry HAS to make some moves. I dont care when they come, but he has a minimum cap to reach and a team to build. Asik is a perfect fit for this team as it is right now. For the rest I expect guys like Teague, Jack, Brewer, etc. Second tier guys that will be starters next year and good depth when we actually have a real team.

Asik isnt some random player. We need a center. Even in your tanking theory we would still need a center. Asik is an above average rebounder and defender. He is perfect and does not cost a ton.
