  1. Well we didn't win the must win game 4 so what next?
  2. Really we need a three and we go in for two and miss?
  3. I really don't like Stephenson. He plays out of control, talks trash and every time he makes a shot he starts flailing around like it was a game winner in the first quarter. I also don't know how good he would be for our team in regards to attitude. He mopes around when things don't go his way and when he gets frustrated he locks in on isolation offense. Like in game three there was 3 seconds left and the Hawks were up by about 11 and because he was mad he ran over and fouled. Then he walked over to his bench shuffling his feet ignoring the game like someone took his sucker. He really irritates me.
  4. Korver is actually getting more open looks than I've seen him get in a while. He's just not hitting them. I'm going to be at the game in Atlanta tonight. Let's hope he goes off!
  5. Defensively the Pacers are going to focus on Teague. He was the one who shredded their defense at key points in the game. I was surprised how many times Korver got open during game 1. He hasn't seen open looks like that since before Horford went down, however his shooting was off. With Stephenson focusing more on Teague, Korver should get a lot of open looks. If he can hit them our offense will be on fire. Defensively we have been great against the Pacers the last two times we have played them. If we can continue to neutralize Hibbert and force George to continue to take tough shots we can live with Stephenson going off a bit. Hill and West don't score enough to press for a win.
  6. Yes, play the starters they can rest after the game. Game two is not till Tuesday!
  7. Why do we pull every starter and run with all bench players? Stevenson is killing our back ups. Space out the dang substitutions and keep in someone who can score and defend.
  8. No a superstar is not required to win. Remember the Pacers a few years back? They were technically a no name team who started coming on strong with great chemistry. They all played hard and most of all, they played together. Even superstar teams like the Heat put them up on their radar and began to struggle with their intensity. They had a chip on their shoulder and played with their hearts on their sleeves. Over time they actually developed superstars. Now look at the Knicks who are "Super Star struck". They paid a crap load for their stars Stoudemire and Carmelo and they can't win crap. So a super star doesn't equal wins. Chemistry and buying into a coach's philosophy is what brings wins. Now like the Heat, if you have superstars with chemistry that buy into their team's goals, you get championships. The one thing superstars do create is ticket sales. A lot of so-called Heat fans are actually LeBron fans and if he went to OKC, most of them would start wearing Thunder jerseys.
  9. #5 Demarre Carroll is going to be the man in the playoffs. Besides for maybe Brand he is our best defender, he is physical, he creates steals and he is a 3 point and paint threat. I'm really impressed with what he has done this year. We're shallow on guards. After our two starters I don't have much faith in Schröder or Mack, so look to Lou Williams to start getting a lot of play time after last night against the Heat. Lou does some stupid things sometimes, but he can play and maybe with some playing time he can settle in and give us some good minutes. Pero Antić is not really physical as a center and so he doesn't match up well against most teams who can push him around, but he creates problems with the centers of the two teams we might face in the first round. Hibbert is big and physical under the boards but if he has to come out and defend Antić's three ball he is defensively useless and Bosh isn't physical either so he matches up pretty well against him. But, if we're going to go deep into the first round of the playoffs and not get swept, it's going to be Teague. If he can slash and score and distribute the ball with very few turnovers we can make it a series.
  10. Rankings without injuries. 1st- Miami 2nd- Indiana 3rd- Chicago 4th- Brooklyn 5th- Toronto 6th- Atlanta 7th- Washington 8th- Charlotte
  11. After destroying the Pacers and beating the Heat, I don't think many teams are going to want to see us in the playoffs. We're a high risk low seed.
  12. Maybe these past few wins will quiet the tankers. We're in a great spot in regards to making the playoffs. Both us and the Knicks have three games left and for the Knicks to bump us out they need to win all three and we have to lose all three. Go Hawks!
  13. Two in a row! We've looked fantastic these past two games! Got two on the Knicks now and they have a tough schedule ahead. If we keep playing like this, we're playoff bound! Go Hawks!
  14. Hawks win 5 in a row! Hawks win 5 in a row! Hawks win 5 in a row! Hawks win 5 in a row! Hawks win 5 in a row!
