  1. ^Haha. I'm just a divinity school graduate if that helps to mend my reputation.
  2. Hello! Glad to be here. I joined the site last summer and have been lurking ever since. I'm a native Georgian and have been a Hawks fan my entire life. There have been seasons that I followed a bit more closely (The late 90s was when I really started to follow the NBA. Laettner, Smith, Blaylock, etc.) and began following again after the rebranding of the team in the mid 2000s. So I haven't always been a diehard, but I've always followed them. I'm a college basketball fan first. I'm a Duke grad and Duke basketball is my first love. However, the one and done rule has hurt college hoops lately making the NBA much more enjoyable.
  3. Agreed. He's a proven winner who could provide our team with some leadership if we do deep into the playoffs. That can't be overlooked. I think he's still got some in the tank. And with him not playing but a few months, he should be fresh. I get everyone's hesitation to making any changes to this team. But if you've got a chance to make improvements, you look at your options. I'm a fan on Jenkins, but who do you want on the court in the final minutes of a close game seven?
  4. Curry has my pick right now.
  5. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. The guy (can't remember his name) on Sportscenter said that the Hawks could be a potential landing spot for him. He said that the Cavs (the team that many expected him to end up at) have an overcrowded backcourt and wouldn't be a great fit. Thoughts on this? I wouldn't mind another shooter coming off of the bench behind Korver. We'd always have a dead eye shooter on the floor.
  6. Good discussion. Here are my thoughts: Herzonja and Russell won't be available to us because they'll be top 10 picks. And I agree, I think we should address the SG/SF positions. Devin Booker-elite shooter, good size with potential to be a good defender. Good athlete but not elite. Justin Anderson-UVA SF-high character kid. Great defender, great athlete and a much improved offensive game. Aaron Harrison-if he's available in the second round, I'd take him. He always steps up in big games. Good shooter with good size. Justise Winslow- He should go lottery, but if he keeps playing like he's been playing lately (can't hit a shot), he'll either stay at Duke another year or will drop out of the lottery. I doubt he's available here, but if so, you take him. Rashad Vaughn-Elite athlete with great scoring ability. With how this draft is working out, I think we'll have some good options late in the draft.
  7. I think they drop off big time.
  8. If we can't offer Deng 10 million per, no way would I offer Bledsoe what he's asking.
  9. If this deal for Love falls through (and I don't think it will), I could see Cleveland showing interest in Horford. They are in 'win now' mode as they should be.
