If you had the number 5 pick would you make that trade? I wouldn't.
-
So they'll move up to 8 and get a no impact player. 12 and 21 aren't getting us Hield, which is the only player I want.
-
Maybe they'll package the 12th and their original pick for a higher pick? I dunno. I thought Teague was worth more than a 12th overall.
-
Free agents won't come here so what other option is there? Should have traded Al and Jeff.
-
He's tough. You can feel the difference when he's on the court. He also isn't an absolute stiff like Splitter was. Kris can move a bit.
-
I guess this is as obvious as saying water is wet. However, it's a little sad and frustrating that a guy that could have been had for peanuts at the beginning of the year could have been acquired instead of Tiago and we would likely have another win or two.
-
When has Joe ever been a part of "ball movement"?
-
Bud won Coach of the Year, but they are AWFUL on the pick and roll, they are sloppy on defense, and have no real half court offense to speak of. How does this happen?
-
Only in Atlanta would we &$@! on Al Horford. Any other city (LA, New York, Chicago, or Boston) would hand the man the keys to the city. Hopefully, we won't see that happen soon.
-
And give Horf a max. We ain't getting better than him in FA.
-
Trade Teague. Horford is exactly what this teams loves. A team guy that can defend, and shoot. I love Jeff, but give Denis a shot. Besides, Jeff has a year left on his contract and will get us a SG in a trade that we desperately need. Korver is no longer a starter. He'd be fantastic off the bench. This to me is a shuffle of the cards, not a blow up, and it might just come up aces.

Game Thread: Pistons at Hawks (Opening Night!)

We are a terrible, awful, rebounding team. Did nothing to address this during the offseason. -
I'll give you two reasons why. 1) Atlanta has already forgotten about the Hawks. 2) They were swept by the Cavs and didn't belong.

Only in Atlanta can the team with the best record in the East turn to crap. Why did we only add Splitter and Hardaway? -
Dangit! :)

I'm never the one fast enough to post stuff like this! http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/basketball/atlanta-hawks-add-glenn-robinson-iii-to-summer-lea/nmwPz/

We just won 60 games and Bud is one of the best coaches in the league. We're light years better off than we were 3 years ago. Yet a large portion of what I'm reading sounds like doom and gloom. "No one wants to play here", "our roster is below average". Our roster is much better, and it's going to take more than one good season for free agents to want to come.

Saw that too and completely agree. -

t I admit, I forgot about that. However, I'm still really glad Horford didn't Tebow. That would have tainted a great win. -

Why? That would have been extremely embarrassing. -

You make a good point. Denis sucked for a good part of this game. -

Hard to figure Teague right now. Is he hurt or just not able to kick it into the playoff gear? -

Gray Mule, I'm assuming you're a man of many years of wisdom. I'm 39 and I don't see how you can watch games like tonight and not have a heart attack. My heart was pounding out of my chest. Told my wife to hide the remote when I'm 50 so sports don't kill me. -
Hank Aaron?

Don't post on here often so I'm not sure if you guys are trying not to jinx it. They beat all the good teams, he hot teams, and the pretenders. They're playing better than any other team in the NBA. We don't have to use the C word, but we're all thinking it. Best Atlanta pro team in years.
