  1. You can chop up the ressler shit sev diff ways, but afawk - they tried to get a deal done this summer and possibly felt they would be able to get it done so let go of JC.  Most everyone was happy with that move, but nothing has happened yet, but they are seeing the reality of some of the decisions especially with recent injuries.  Now how much of that is they tried and couldnt get it done or just straight up lying we can debate that all day but theres not enough evidence either way at this point to keep really going back and forth, we do not have inside info to that degree.

Posters ask, "Would you do this trade.  So, just for you to ponder on, here's some matching salary players:

    Hunter - $20M - Murray - $18M. = $38M.

    Siakam - $38M.

Two for one, which means Hawks could add another player (From the G League?)  Don't forget, Siakam walks away at season's end.  This is only a one-year rental.  (This season).

If we do this, then I believe the Hawks would have room to add another player (Cheap) and still be under the dreaded tax line. This is for next summer.  With all three players gone, what could Atlanta do?  Perhaps tank.  But we have no draft picks.  We traded them for Murray.  Looking for some cheap - - - all-star - - - free agents for next summer !!

    😍

u dont have to worry about us doing that deal, if we did that, everyone would be gone anyway soon enough

  3. OG and Siakam with the raps have certainly lost leverage as far as what was going on earlier, JJ coming on certainly gives us leverage, but not sure what package of JJ along with whomever we would include would get in the league and you would need that player to be pretty impactful since we are super short on those players - as is the league in general.  I would take JJJ based on last years performances.

I'm telling you how I feel not how the team feels. There's little to zero chance they trade DJM after he signed a team friendly long term contract. I can just see the obvious after a season plus of this backcourt: it doesn't work. And we're locked into it for years.

And yes, TS got the shaft IMO. He was ready to deal Trae for a haul but the ownership balked. Once that got out it was just a matter of time before TS was gone. Especially after he spoke against the DJM trade and they did it anyways.

when did he speak against it? when was the haul he had trae ready for ?

When you're small, you have to be tough.

The Hawks are just too soft.  Someone on this team is going to have to take it personal on the defensive end, and on the boards.  You don't see anyone on this team getting pissed, or gathering each other to talk about the defense on the floor.  They just look shell shocked.

We're just going to have to outscore people . . . and leave it at that.

    You right about that

I don't think our issues are that big for that long.

I think our main issue is just learning how to put it all together at the same time.

At times... JJ has been a beast.   At times... DJ has been a beast.   At times... Trae has been a beast.   We just have to learn how to put it together at the same time.

The negative Nancies of this board hate to give credit to anything we do well.  Let's talk about last night.

You talk about our Center combo...

Last night... Our starting 4 and 5 combined for:

35 pts, 22 rebounds, 4 assists, & 4 blocks on 61% from the field and 78% from the FT..

Can you ask for much better?

It just so happens that DJ had a bad game and Hunter was tossed at the beginning of the third.

We're still a young team and we're learning how to put it together.   That was against a grizzled vet team with the reigning MVP playing one of his best games.

I know Clint is supposed to be the shitlist player right now but the dude put up 17 & 11 and nobody says nothing.  People are bitching about the one bunny that he missed and missing the point that he hit so many other bunnies.

If Hunter is not thrown out... we might win this game.   We were pretty strong back and fourth in the first half.   At one point in the 2nd Qtr, I was beginning to wonder why people think the 76ers are good.   We just have to give it the time it deserves.. we have seen that we do things better than before.

I certainly hope you are right D, especially on the system part and I know we are going through it , but some teams just wreck our new system and im.not.sure 20 games is enough for this to be fleshed out. But no we not giving props to clint in a night where he doing what he supposed to do, he's supposed to give us a double double, it rarely happens anymore, I understand we are not running the pnr but that means he's not a fit then, and that will be pointed out as such.

More interested in what we should do if and when this thing starts clicking and what player are real fits and who are t because they're is no way all these guys are going to fit together in a completely different system.

  7. While they can't do everything they were doing earlier in those game they can pick up the pace, they were all over the place in their game now they have slowed back down, not sure what that reason is unless it only took a few weeks of trh season for them to tune out quin already and in that case we need to reset anyway
