  1. We just had a 3 on one and I had not even the slightest hope we would score on it
  2. Every fast break for us, I'm just sure were going to miss the layup.
  3. Why does millsap keep taking on a double team on the baseline knowing he will get trapped, step out of bounds or end up throwing up a circus shot?
  4. I hate the way we're playing. Hate it so much. Some are saying it's the long break, but we were playing like this before the break. We're making risky passes for no good reason. Guys are standing around more on offense. It seems like we get every layup blocked or it rims out. We turn the ball over early in the clock as a matter of routine. Why is millsap laying it up softly when he could dunk? We can't even shoot anymore. It's like Pero Antić took our 3 pt shooting with him.
  5. Regarding the "sign Leonard first and then sign Millsap comment", that's not how it works. We'd have to renounce Millsap to sign Leonard, and then we'd lose the rights to Millsap.
  6. Why no talk about Wesley Matthews? He's a lock-down perimeter defender and he's one of the very best 3 pt shooting off-guards in the league. I think he fits us perfectly, and he's not the Blazers future the way Leonard is the Spurs future. Obviously Marc Gasol would be a huge get for anyone, but Matthews seems more signable and far less likely to get max money thrown at him.
  7. I. Know. He could play backup for the rest of 2015 and "he could go be a team's primary #1 next year and beyond" That is, he could sign with another team. You know, "go" be a team's primary #1.
  8. Well, I think the problem may be that he sees no future for himself in PHX. Isaiah Thomas and Eric Bledsoe are going nowhere, or at least not both of them. Would Dragic be willing to come in as supporting cast in ATL to make a run at a championship, knowing he could go be a team's primary #1 next year and beyond? I guess we'd have to talk to him about that.
  9. Yes, I'm talking 2-guard to back up Korver. Dragic is a better pure shooter than Schröder and a better defender than Ray Allen.
  10. At least wait a couple of years before you say this Hawks team is "same ole same ole". They've been pretty aggressively transforming this team. I'm sure they'd like a Brendan Wright or Tyson Chandler on the team, but those guys can't be had for nothing.
  11. We can get Plumlee without sending Antić, and if we can do that, we should. The thing is, Brookly doesn't want to trade Plumlee--he's they're only decent player. They will trade him but only if they can package a bad contract with him and/or pick up multiple assets
  12. So Dragic tells the Suns he's not going to sign. They are now furiously trying to trade him. They seem to feel they will miss the playoffs with the roster they have and they won't be able to keep it together in the offseason anyway. Can we get Goran Dragic or Brendan Wright from the Suns?
  13. Clearly Antić needs more reps to get "in a groove"
  14. Why did we make zero effort to get Brendan wright? He seemed to be exactly what we needed
  15. 1) Antić is horrific. He does some "things that don't show up in the box score", but the stuff in the box score has been abysmal. 2) the probability of a top 7 pick increased with this loss 3) good lesson as others have stated 4) celtics aren't exactly a rebounding stalwart, so getting destroyed on the glass against them is...um... Humbling g 5) lets hope the rest at the break helps us. Espn commenters are suggesting hawks peaked early. They may be right. 6) teague dribbling the clock down in our last possession was the stupidest single play of the game. Running the clock down renders you less likely to make a basket. The ONLY REASON to do it is that doing so Deprives a possession from the other team. In the event it does not, you merely take a bad shot and give the ball to the Opposition
  16. No really, let's get up by 18 and play like dog butt and lose
  17. I have an idea. Lets hold Boston under 30% shooting and still lose to them
  18. This reminds me of being in a casino and watching some guy hit a couple of times in roulette and someone commenting on his system. Drafting in the lottery is easy. Drafting in the mid/late first is a crapshoot. BK's drafting in the lottery is proof that he was a horrific drafter. The circumstances behind the Smoove and Teague picks drove them more than BK's skill. One was a hometown boy and the other was whichever PG was left of the mid-round three This reminds me of being in a casino and watching some guy hit a couple of times in roulette and someone commenting on his system. 19. If we're thinking of it probabilistically, then hitting on 1/3 isn't bad at all. Let's say a genius drafter hits on 2/3 of his mid-round picks. Over such a small sample, he will hit on 1 or fewer of 3 picks 26% of the time. So it's very possible ferry could be an outstanding drafter but has just been unlucky. And if u add in his 2nd rounders he looks pretty good. Pete Babcock, however does not have a small sample. Go to basketball reference and just scroll through the drafts from the 90s and 2000s. See how prevalent 25 win players (win shares) are in the mid first.
  20. No chance millsap walks? No chance Pero gets hurt? No chance Al tears another pec? He may well have gotten a chance, but I'm giving bud the BOTD. He didnt see much from Payne in practice
  21. The problem is, Minny may not make the playoffs for the next 5 yrs. then we get a 2nd rounder. If we trade the pick, it will be more valuable to us
  22. I just wonder, Dolfan...is there really no advantage in having a single player crash? Tony Allen sure did make a difference in the last game.
  23. Coach bud will get guys rest once we clinch #1.
  24. This really helps. I put another squawker on ignore and it made my experience much more enjoyable. Utilize that option squawkers.
  25. That's what I suspected. Thanks. It's frustrating to watch but the eyes don't tell you what is statistically correct. That's what I suspected. Thanks. It's frustrating to watch but the eyes don't tell you what is statistically correct. Don't know how that happened. I just got a double double
