@NBASupes Hawks University should help him adjust. I saw Deandre Hunter go from a ball stopper with tunnel vision to someone who could flow within the offense and make decisive reads in a season.
Fk that guy. Hunter ain't it. Give me smoke. Use a better example.

More double talk from the Hawks. Prediction: They trade the first pick so that they don't have to pay the market rate for the first pick. They then trade DJM and Murray for a bucket of wings and potato chips. They are not gonna go into the luxury tax. Their wins to player cost ratio is 101 percent. That looks good to the investors.
You seen the price of wings? You gotta hope we get tuna sandwiches and Mr. Pibb out dis bia...

Are people really thinking Edey at close to 1? If you say lottery I see..but he and Clingan aren't close to intriguing enough to trade down or otherwise. Plodding centers (testing notwithstanding) are an eventual albatross. I say this because Sarr is or should be the play.
I'm not knocking anyone based off the testing. Some good things from Edey. But he nor anyone else moved me away from Sarr.

Hell nah. Trae supporters want him here. Not hard really. And he is active on socials so it is easy to guess..make up...read into...whatever you want. It's fair. We just want him home..we got beans and bologna...

Trae's commitment to the Hawks should never be questioned. He hasn't asked out, and he wants to win in Atlanta. However, he wants to win, and if Atlanta's direction isn't to win, then and only then will he ask to be moved to a winning team.
My point is say it. Of course he's probably waiting on direction. I can't blame him for that.

I want to go on record as saying I am absolutely not team "trade Trae." I am excited AF because we're going to draft the only player that I have evaluated in this draft and thought that we had zero chance of getting him. While at the same time, we're at least having conversations about THE one player who has been at the top of my wish list for years now.
I'm just a little, more than a little, confused that we've made some Hawks history and our franchise player - who make no mistake has something to say about a lot of things - has said nothing about our lottery luck. This is the same guy who literally just offered unsolicited opinions about a previous #1 pick who will likely never suit up for ATL. I don't know what it means, but it is very curious to say the least.
He also just tweeted late yesterday, well after the lottery results came in...so it's not like he's AFK. Just saying...it's kinda weird for me.
I'm in no way a trade Trae fan. However, if he is not onboard, end the damn drama and go. I think this franchise needs and all-in guy. I used to think that was Trae. Too damn iffy now. Whatever happens, Landry better get it right. I hate hearing him talk. Yuck. Sounds like he's guessing. A dumb GM could understand why Sarr is a fit and Trae should be committed. If not, plan B immejiately.

You asking Supes after pages and pages of peaks and valley posts? You got brass nutz. This is Supes take on Sarr...and the posters on this board...

For the most part, I see rationale, and some of the people I don’t normally see rationale from. I think it’s fair to have disagreements about a player and how do you think they might turn out. But this is a unique chance for the Atlanta Hawks to finally do something that’s gonna change the fortunes of this organization.
Now Supes, I’m not going to knock you for your opinion or way you go about talking to people, that’s all on you. We all stand on business. Sarr is the guy (unless..), if we're all wrong, fk it. Let's brawl!

School em, wr.
No other team gets the #1 pick and have folks go, "YAAAAS!!! This is the PERFECT time to blow the team up and rebuild with some other picks everyone agrees aren't as good as in other years!"
Every other team sees the #1 pick as a means for enhancing what's already there.
This is our Spurs moment, folks. We have a playoff caliber team .... and we're adding the top pick!
(Or whatever we can get for the top pick, but that's another topic.)
Doesn't matter if he's not a sure thing like Duncan was. All he's gotta be is a starr in the role asked of him.
Do better, squawk. Yall got me being the voice of reason. Smh
I don't like it KG...do better . Go back to you..

This thread has taken a turn for the worse. Sarr, if there is no trade, no thought of rebuilding..blah, blah, blah should be the pick...warts and all. I don't care how you tear him down, there's not one prospect in this draft you can't rip to pieces. If I'm the GM, I'm going to err on the side of limitless potential and bet on my star coach to get him where he needs to be.
This is Landry and the FO's Super Bowl. You can't go back on the Murray trade, so suck it up and choose a direction. If Trae is not all in, trade him. None of this "on the fence" shyt. Recoup what you lost or take away Trae's excuses. I think Sarr could be a start, but there are many moving pieces needed to get this right.

Let's say we get Sarr and go for the upside
The only way I see this working
Trae/Daniels/Forrest
Bogi/Kobe/Lundy
BI/Hunter/Bey
JJ/Gueye/Sarr
Capela or OO/Bruno
Sarr and Lundy play in College Park.
Sarr develops playing 3-4.
Lundy, the 2.
2025, Sarr plays 3, Bogi is traded due to age and trade value. BI moves to 2
2025
Trae
BI
Sarr
JJ
OO or Capela
That gives us an size, length, a defensive beast like Sarr and us switching every damn thing outside of Trae and we need to protect Trae on switches. I hope we can get a true center. Maybe sign Jonas in FA.
As vehemently as you've been against him, this is a short and long term play. It's the way good teams do it. Let's go!

I'm no scout. I dont profess it..but I'm up to 3 games and I'm not seeing the panic. I see a guy to dream on. I see finally an opportunity to swing for the fence. I'd rather whiff on that than draft freaking Hunter all over again. (Sorry Supes). But I'm not giving a Damn what I've seen other guys do. This guy has the most potential. I'm not letting that go.

Man..this is crazy. There's not many outlets saying sarr is not number one. As a matter of fact I watched 2 games. Small sample size..but I thought..no way we get that guy. He's not finished but he is oozing"don't pass me up". Supes got his opinion. Cool. Can't hate on him, but unless we package that pick for better, that is the guy.

Then again, nobody through in their right mind that the Falcons will draft a QB with the 8th pick while sending over 180 million for a F/A QB.
Never say never when it comes down to decisions like that.
Atlanta teams gonna Atlanta. If any other team had the 1, and Sarr was their choice, everyone would say it was good pick....but nooo, Atlanta gets the 1 and the damn fans are already in peak season "we s*ck" form. I'm here for all the chaos this offseason brings! We love it! Get to work insiders!

While I'm certainly not besides myself with joy..there is value for us (the Hawks) at that position. Trade or pick. But Damn...this couldn't be next year? Lmao..oh well...go for the upside! Let's dance!

One of my Hawks sources is fairly confident Ingram is coming to Atlanta and we're sending them DJM. Other pieces are involved and we're getting back at least one first rounder.

Trust me..I never freaked out when they selected Penix. I love it. Edey...I'd like to take later. Imho..I'm not passing on Sarr and his skill set for Edey. And I like Edey enough.
