  1. He looks great and Nellie says he will start
  2. yup - Durant for easy ROY. Belinelli could be the steal though.
  3. PG Jared Jordan of Marist College - NBA draft doesnt even have him being drafted! SI did a piece on him - the legend of Jared Jordan http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...rdan/index.html led the nation in assists.
  4. Could be the fight of the year and definitely will not disappoint. Should be a war. Watch it next Saturday!

    Barbosa

Would you do this - Zaza, Lue and #11 for Barbosa, James Jones and #24. Then we have Speedy and Barbosa and draft big at #3 and go for the best talent at #24. Not sure if the Suns would go for it, but they seem very keen to pick up a big center.
  6. Yeah but Robert has nailed some MASSIVE pressure shots along the way to pretty much all of those titles, some of them 3s at the buzzer to win a game etc. He has been a good producer for all of those teams even if he has not been the main man.
  7. Ricky Rubio - just looked him up. 16 year old Spanish point guard. Became the youngest ever to play in Spain's ACB at merely 14 years of age! Won the MVP Award at the 2006 U16 European Championships after arguably the most dominant performance in tournament history, leading the competition in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Scored 51 points, grabbed 24 rebounds and dished out 12 assists in the 110-106 finale victory over Russia... Wow - we could use him!
  8. actually Camby, Nene and Mark Jackson for McDyess and Frank Williams didnt turn out so hot for NY either...
  9. what are your own personal worst trades of all time (not including draft pick trades like Tractor Traylor for Dirk). Recently - Steve Francis for Ariza and Penny Hardaway's expiring contract has actually turned out to be a stinker for New York. While Orlando now have the cash to get an all-star. Barkley for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry and Andrew Lang is pretty lopsided... Webber for Richmond was bad for Washington...
  10. haha! maybe Escalade could spot Shelden for some minutes...

    What if ...

I see Noah going to Chicago. I think he would work well there too. He is ready to contribute and is a high energy, high character guy. - and they need a low post scorer. According to the latest reports Chicago seem to be high on him... (although they are working out the PGs too)
  12. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/...nterstitialskip The Wolves are trading Mike James to the Rockets for Juwan Howard. This might well mean that Rafer Alston is on the block. Anyone interested in him..?

    SI mock

SI mock has Atlanta taking Brandan Wright at #3 and Nick Young at #11. I am guessing fans would not be happy with that outcome... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...raft/index.html
  14. Zaza + Speedy + #11 for Marion and #29. Pau for Marvin, Lue and Lo. Then pick up the best FA PG (Brevin, Blake) Incoming Marion Pau #3 (Yi, Horford, Conley) #29 (best available) Outgoing Zaza Speedy Marvin Lue Lo #3 A team of Brevin/AJ, JJ, Marion, Smoove, Pau is pretty nice. We would need to be clever with the free agency though to reload with the right role players. But that is 3 all-star caliber guys.
  15. just seen that after jacking them up his first 4 years in the league Parker only took 36 and 38 3 pointers the last 2 seasons..!! Gilbert throws up that many in a week... Having said that expecting Conley to be Parker is a reach. There are still massive question marks about him. NBA defenders know he is a poor outside shooter so they can just give him the space and stop the drive. I think he will be there at #11 anyway and if not Law may be better in any event.
  16. We could do Speedy, Chill and Zaza for him. Then pick up Kurt Thomas / Magloire / Webber via free agency to man the middle. I think Marion is massively under-rated and a great player who fills up the stats in every category. We could still then draft a power guy at the #3 and PG at #11. I suppose some of you will say - no take Yi / Horford anyway and dont give up those pieces. But just wondering whether people might consider this over a Pau trade? He is a legit all-star. But this would mean a AJ/Law, JJ, Marion, Smoove/Horford (or Yi), Shelden/Thomas starting 5
  17. Have I missed something? What was wrong with what he said? If Marv has another season without improving next year would it not be better to have had Camby on the team? I agree that if you think he is going to have a big year next year then clearly your answer is no. For me it is concerning if Marv did say that. It suggests he is not going to fight to be "the man" that he was drafted to be.
  18. I like Brevin. He would be a great addition. He has also been great with Felton. I see Lue and AJ moving out which creates the room for Brevin. Do the Lue, Marv and Lo for Camby and a first rounder trade. Draft Yi / Horford and then Law. Then you have a good mix of talent. Nice idea.
  19. I think we could get more than Kwame and #19 for those 3. I would prefer Camby and next year's Denver first rounder. Camby is a defensive monster and would really add a lot in my opinion. It would also give us a vet rather than 2 more young guys, and flexibility next year. If Marv really said that I revise my Marv is busting out statement. That doesnt sound like a guy who is going to work his butt off to improve.
  20. didnt some of you guys say Marv's plan was to hit the weight room this summer...? Obviously if he gets some post game and more muscle then he will have a more rounded arsenal. I agree though that hoisting outside jumpers wont be getting in done as far as "busting out" this year.
  21. am I the only one on here who thinks Gasol is a great player. 20.8ppg 9.8 rpg and 2 bpg shooting 54% from the field look pretty good to me. and World Champs MVP. I think he is much more of a winner than say Jermaine O'Neal and would be great for the team. Not many draft picks add up to those sort of numbers. I think that BK would only give up one pick anyway along with say Chill and maybe a future 2nd rounder. I would trade the #3 plus Chill for Gasol. It makes sense. Take the guy who is already at All Star level rather than one we hope will be. If Horford averaged 20.8, 9.8 and 2 people would anoint him as a new Hawk hero... Gasol is much more of a lock to do it.
  22. over the last 10 games of the season Marv upped his averages to 16.3ppg, 6.6 rpg and 2.1 apg. Nice numbers. and in the last 5 he went up to 19.4 ppg. I know that it was the garbage end of the season, but I agree that he does have the potential to make some big noise this year. The team drafted him knowing that year 3 would probably be the time when he would start to stamp his mark, so he should be given the opportunity (at least the first 20 games) to show if he is going to do it or not. Its time to show and tell Marvin.
  23. that could be done by picking them #3 and #11. I think both are a big risk in any event and the team should trade for a quality vet PG like Andre Miller or Mike Bibby.
  24. Bulldog

    PG

We could always bring back Eldridge Recasner...
  25. Yes Durant would instantly help and would start at the 3 spot. I think Chill would be dealt and Marv would come off the bench for the time being (unless someone offered some great value for him)with Smoove covering the 4 spot. But it aint happening. Seattle have the chance to take a guy at #2 who would go #1 most years.
