  1. I would give Chicago Al and Salim for Ben Gordon and the Knicks pick. I like Salim a lot, but Ben Gordon is very similar to Salim only better, both can light up the scoreboard quickly but Gordon has a better all around game. I read not too long ago that Gordon wanted to be traded because he wanted to be a starter, how about Joe and Ben Gordon starting in the backcourt. Gordon is certainly not a true point guard, but I think between the 2 they can get it done. They sure would put up a lot of points.
  2. 6-6? are you talking about Height? he's actually 6'3" and he's also 36 years old, doesn't make a whole lot of sense to sign a point guard that much older than the guys who are a real part of the rebuilding process, so I think the Hawks should steer clear of Gollum.
  3. Quote: "Definitely, if they got some money out there for me," Harrington said before Atlanta's 110-107 overtime win Sunday against the Nuggets. "Denver is a place I would love to play. I think they've got a lot of pieces. They might be missing one piece, somebody like myself or Ron Artest." If you ask me, those comments are treasonous...I would trade Harrington straight away if I were Billy Knight. I'm actually kind of shocked Al would say that, most players would just say something like " I'm a Hawk, I love Atlanta, I'm focusing on leading this young team blah blah blah" theres nothing wrong with telling the truth, but if thats truly the way he feels then he isn't the kind of player I want on the Hawks. I want players who want to be a Hawk, and wouldn't make a comment like that during a season in which he is putting on the Hawks uniform.
  4. From real gm wiretap Real Gm Wiretap " Denver Post - One scenario from within the league involves Denver sending Earl Watson and Nene to Atlanta, the Hawks sending Al Harrington to the Pacers and Indiana shipping Artest to the Nuggets. Another scenario substitutes the Los Angeles Clippers ' Corey Maggette for Watson and Nene. Lower-salaried Pacers like guard Anthony Johnson or former Colorado center David Harrison could also be involved to fit league salary-cap restrictions. Atlanta general manager Billy Knight would not comment on the rumors when approached by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. " I say if the clips want Artest and have to go through the Hawks to get him...we should hold out for Livingston/Wilcox, this is getting even more interesting
  5. Quote: I might trade Childress for him straight up. But that's about as far is it would go. what about Al to Indy, Atest to LA, and Livingston, Wilcox to ATL? I think thats the trade most seem to agree on
  6. Quote: The Clippers have a team that can contend for a title without him. Adding Artest may be enough to put them over the top. ...Exactly.... plus...he and JJ could turn into the best backcourt in the NBA...but it is true that he is terribly thin, he needs to put on some weight so he can take the punishment over a long season, but if he can do that, he's gonna be awesome
  7. thanks nicholas, i didnt really feel like looking all that up haha, but seriously...Livingston has amazing handles and passing ability, he isnt even really much of a scorer...he's a distributor
  8. Quote: Livingston is NOT a PG, you're crazy. There's nothing in his HS career to indicate that he is a PG. he was a scorer and a rebounder. He's more of a childress clone than he is a PG. And don't point to his assist totals from last year as an indication that he's a PG... Well, I won't call you crazy, because thats not nice... but...youre just dead wrong here, Livingston is a point guard, always has been, always will be, his strengths are ball handling and passing, thats the truth...
  9. Quote: The first pick is solid and makes some sense. The second is a waste of time. Trading Marvin for players that are either no better than players in the deal or have significantly less potential is not what we need. You might not like the Marvin pick. but that does not change his talent or potential. It also doesn't change the fact taht he's a 19yo rookie. If you expected a lot from him this year, that's your fault, not his. I don't think Marvn has more potential than Livingston, I think its the other way around, Livingston is 6-7 and a true point guard with a lot of talent, he is also the same age as Marvin, but was able to show more promise last year than Marvin has this year, and Livingston was a year younger. I didn't expect marvin to set the NBA on fire this year by any stretch of the imagination, I know it will take time for him to develop, but id rather have a player like livingston with just as much potential if not more, that plays a position of need, and not a position where the Hawks already have some good young players.
  10. Quote: 1) 3) al to indy, artest/lue(delk) to lac for livingston/wilcox is our best bet we still get everyone but frye there but keep marvin/chill (our sgs of the future, as smoove/wilcox are our pfs of the future) rondo/ivey jj/slim marvin/chill smoove/wilcox zaza/andersen why would you draft Rondo if we had Livingston? Id do what you are proposing, but if we got Livingston with that team, id probably pick Aldridge
  11. Quote: I think you need to mix the two trades together: Atlanta trades Harrington, receives Livington, Wilcox Indy trades Artest, receives Harrington Clipps trade Livingston, Wilcox , receive Artest I'd do that trade in a heartbeat, but I like the other 2 trades together if it could be done, because we get rid of that piece of crap Marvin Williams, and we get Livingston, Wilcox, and Channing Frye
  12. I'm not sure that it makes the clippers worse for this year, livingston has only played one game so far, and Wilcox gets almost no playing time, If they put Livingston in at the point right now it could totally disrupt the chemistry they have going right now with Cassel. I have to say as of now... Livingston > Marvin Wilcox Wilcox just isn't really doing anything for the clips right now, he is only averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds...childress would give them much more production, assuming they actually play him.
  13. I'm really unhappy with the Hawks right now, I hate the Marvin pick, and im sick of all these small forwards, i was really bored so i came up with this plan to fix the Hawks, im sure nobody will like it except me probably, but thats ok... it's just what i would personally do if i was Billy Knight, and if the other teams agreed to the trades. Trade 1: Atlanta Trades : Al Harrington Atlanta Gets: Channing Frye, Scott Pollard New York Trades: Channing Frye, Antonio Davis New York Gets: Ron Artest, Austin Croshere Indiana Trades: Ron Artest, Austin Croshere, Scott Pollard Indiana Gets: Al Harrington, Antonio Davis I like this trade because Atlanta gets Channing Frye, who is already looking like he is going to be a solid player and put up numbers to match Al's soon, plus he can play C, or PF and those are needs, getting a player like this for Al is a good move because I doubt Al is going to re-sign anyway and Frye is younger and cheaper. Indiana gets Harrington back, and Antonio Davis' big salary will be coming off the books after the season and that should give the pacers enough cap room to re-sign Al. New York gets Artest, and Croshere which should make their team better, Losing Frye shouldnt hurt them too much since they signed Eddie Curry and Jerome James to play center. Trade 2: Altanta Trades: Josh Childress, Marvin Williams Clippers Trade: Shaun Livingston, Chris Wilcox I like this trade because it gets Atlanta a talented young point guard ( a tall one too... BK should like that ) and another young big man in Wilcox. For the clips, they get a young superstar in the making....Marvin Williams, and a player who can already be a solid backup in Childress, which should position them to make a decent run into the playoffs. I think really the clippers are getting a little more talent in this trade, but sometimes you have to give up more than youd like to get a player like Livingston who is going to be really good and fills a huge need for the Hawks. 2006 Draft: Rudy Gay, personally i like Adam Morrison with this pick, but im almost certain nobody else does, and im sure BK will take Gay if they get a shot Also bring over David Andersen Next years team: Livingston/Lue/Ivey Johnson/Salim Smoove/Gay/Donta Frye/Wilcox ZaZa/Andersen that is a young, versatile, athletic, talented team right there, i think my favorite combination that would be on the floor together from time to time would actually be Livingston, JJ, Gay, Smoove, Wilcox....imagine how many alley oops that lineup would produce...
  14. IM SO SICK OF THIS BULL-MESS... the 3rd game this year that has been handed to the other team by the refs, unbelievable...I think if a ref missed 2 calls in a row like that, right under the basket, 2 calls that are that crucial to the outcome of the game...they should be fined or suspended. why are the referees never held accountable for screwing up??
  15. Yeah...i heard about this a couple of days ago, i wasn't sure if i believed that time warner would sell the braves, because it sounded too good to be true, but then i saw it on the news...best thing that could have happened to them.
  16. That Employee 8 person was incredibly annoying. I don't understand how people can be a fan of a player and not a team. Those guys can't help but make me think of Robert Deniro in The Fan.
  17. The Hawks need to draft Adam Morrison...Yeah i know...another small forward. Some moves need to be made obviously, but he is by far the best scorer in college basketball right now, He is averaging like 30 ppg and he is clutch...he is the type of player that can take over a game and win it by himself. He is also extremely competative and really has that fire and determination most of the Hawks latest draft picks ( except Salim ) lack. One of the things about that really struck me is the fact that he scores so many points without taking that many 3 pointers, he has an unreal midrange game, and knows how to get to the basket...He could seriously be the next Larry Bird.
  18. Bosh is awesome, I'd give them Marvin and Chill for Bosh...I doubt Bosh is going to stay in Toronto, He will probably leave when he is a free agent, Phil Jackson has already mentioned wanting to go after him. I think it would be great to get him, but the only way I see Toronto trading Bosh would be if he just told them theres no way he will resign.
  19. Quote: clips: we get livingston/wilcox...indy gets what they want and al, lac gets artest now that would be a sweet deal... I'm not sure the clippers would want to give up Livingston considering Sam Cassels age, but them getting Artest right now could put them in serious contention to get to the finals. I just don't know if Al truly wants to return...He hates losing, and I'm sure some teams that are either in or close to being in the playoff picture will be making offers. Keeping Al to me would also really makes the Marvin pick even dumber, I mean you already have Smoove who is also a small foward...Why would you pick Marvin if he is just going to ride the bench forever
  20. I can't say I wanted Chris Paul, I was actually hoping that the Hawks would trade the pick, because I wasn't really sold on any of the guys projected to go from 2-5, but now I think anyone who says the Hawks made the right move picking Marvin over Paul are just insane. Paul is already a top 10 point guard in the league. Real GM has him no.21 overall in the player rankings right now...Marvin is rated 226...only 205 spots behind Paul...
  21. No I don't want him in Atlanta either, but perhaps the Hawks could be part of a 3 way deal, I think the Pacers might like to have Al back, and the salaries match up, if another team could give us a young point guard, or a young big man for Al, it might be interesting...I like Al a lot and I don't really want to lose him, but the reality is....I don't see Al coming back... not unless the Hawks overpay for him, and since they are already overpaying Joe Johnson I don't think that is a smart move. Plus, it would help to clear out some of this bazillion small forwards mess, I mean at some point they are gonna have to start moving some of these small forwards for a point guard or a big man obviously.

  23. Quote: Are you receiving this error: "Error: Album cover in avatar too incredibly awesome" ? Because that would be true! Not receiving that error, in fact it works now, so all is well... but that is in an awesome album cover, for an awesome album...are you an MBV fan too?
