  1. 5.1 innings, 5 hits, 1 walk, 6 strike outs, 0 runs. In 10.1 innings, he has given up zero runs and has struck out 12 while walking 4. I think he has given up only 9 hits as well. Fellas, we are seeing why JS told the A's no when they asked for this kid in the Tim Hudson trade.
  2. Anyone that would draft Chris Taft over Sean May would need their head examed. Chris Taft is nothing but wasted athleticism. The guy has no auxillary skills and no work ethic. IMO, he's going to be a bust in the NBA. Sean May is a guy many are going to knock due to him being only 6'8" tall, but he's a guy who will become the best power forward out of this draft. I wouldn't do that deal at all. IMO, it would make no sense for the Hawks. They can get Williams and May if they get the 5th adn 13th picks. With #31, they can get another player that will contribute to the team. I don't think that will be a center, but it could be a spot up shooter such as Salim Stoudamire or a potential pick like Louis Williams.
  3. Marvin Williams has a more polished back to the basket game than Josh Smith at this point. These two, along with Rudy Gay, were the top athletes from that high school class last season. Williams isn't Sean May in the post, but he has a lot of potential as a low post scorer. He played in the post a lot more than he played on the wing at North Carolina.
  4. He's young, so he's going to have to learn to play defense. I wouldn't worry too much about that. I don't think he will make the impact that the high schoolers from last year made, but he has good potential. I think he will go to Portland at #3.
  5. May is somewhere between Boozer and Brand, IMO. He's a better overall player than Boozer, IMO, but he isn't quite the defender that Brand is.
  6. I can't figure out why Sean May's image didn't show up in that post.
  7. No. The Hawks will have the first pick in the 2nd round. The lottery doesn't dictate the order of the second round.
  8. [image]http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/unc/sports/m-baskbl/auto_action/103590.jpeg[/image] I think the possibility exists of getting both of these players, which would have to be a dream draft for Mike Woodson. I know I'd love to get both players. A legitimate point guard that can defend and a big bodied low post scorer that rebounds and defends well. Mike is Sean's Godfather, so you know he would love to get him. Considering that Charlotte wants Marvin Williams, I think a deal could be made contingent upon Deron being there at the 5th pick.
  9. I don't think Marty Andriuskevicius will be in the draft in the long haul. His agent said that there aren't enough teams showing interest in him to keep him in. I was thinking though, if we could pull off a trade with Charlotte and get the 5th and 13th pick, we still may be able to get one of the top two point guards, and we could possibly get Mike's boy, Sean May, with the 13th pick. If we could get Deron Williams and Sean May out of this draft, IMO, that would be a draft from heaven.
  10. With J.R. Smith around, they won't go for Green. I don't see Deron Williams slipping past them in this instance. Trading down to 5 and 13 is unlikely, but it would be a risk. By trading down, they would more than likely be looking at a guy like Raymond Felton, but Gerald Green would be a possibility as well. Billy is not afraid to duplicate a position if that position is the best player available. I think the Hawks should stay put and make a decision among Marvin Williams, Chris Paul, and Deron Williams.
  11. My Comments On This This is what I said about need vs talent way back when. Looks like Billy may be in agreement with me.
  12. http://www.ajc.com/hawks/content/sports/ha...24nbadraft.html Quote: "Everybody looks at it the way they look at it," Knight said. "The way I see it is, you get the No. 1 pick, you get who you want. It's simple to me. If you're waiting for someone to take the No. 1 pick so you don't have to take them . . . listen, if you get the No. 1 pick, you take who you want. It's pretty simple that way." This sounds like he's telling people to throw the ratings out. If he gets the number pick, he's getting the guy he wants. Quote: "We won 13 games, so we need a lot of stuff," Knight said. "I feel comfortable we're going to get a player we like, someone that can help us, no matter what pick we have and no matter who is in this draft."
  13. In my opinion, there have been a lot of convenient things that have happened with the lottery selection process in the past. The Washington Wizards just happen to get the 1st pick when Jordan becomes the team president? I will just say that it will not surprise me if the Lakers or the Knicks get the first pick. I think the NBA is very dirty when it comes to things like this.
  14. I've been saying that for a while. When Coach Brown was asked about the team recently, he specifically mentioned getting someone that can shoot from the perimeter who can compliment Harrington's inside scoring. I believe Harrington will get an extension before October.
