I mean this would give us sometime to find a suitable replacement right now and send out feelers to see who is really interested in the job. I personally would like to see Del Harris brought on as a coach or maybe PJ Carlisimo. We need some one with experience coaching the NBA game not Tubby Smith. The season is already in the tank anyway so why not leat nique coach the boys until the end of the season.

I am really starting to wonder why he even got the job. I mean I really wanted us to keep Stotts or go after Del Harris, somebody with head coach experience. A ROOKIE COACH AND A ROOKIE TEAM JUST CAN'T WORK IN THIS LEAGUE-SOMEBODY HAS TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING!!!!!! Woody just looks like he is over his head out there. You see what happens when you hire your friends. How many of you guys have gotten a friend a job with you and you end up regretting it?? Hell I got my friend a job with me when I was a teenager and he ended up being a complete failure and embarassed the hell out of me.

We truly have some gritty big men on this team. You noticed that Oneal got most of his points against a foul ridden Pachulia. Batista has a mean streak in him that we need and he played O'neal like a man. Big John Edwards did decent last night as well.

Al just got hot and Chill played like he belonged in the league. We still would not have won the game without JJ. He is a baller and it shows that even on a bad night he could still have 13 points and hit some bit shots.

I say that we need a veteran coach in the worst way. Wasn't Dell Harris up for consideration for the job along with Woody. WHat about PJ Carlisimo?? I said it once and I will say it again a young team and a rookie coach just doesn't mix well. Plus Woody looks lost out there. We are not even competitive in these games 90% of the time. If the owners want to send a message that they will not accept mediocrity then he has to go and they have to get rid of him before the end of the season.

Damn sure better production than Eddie Curry who half of you wanted to sign. Plus he shoots free throws better than anyone on this list!! Man did we ever get a steal with this one.

I have been a Hawks fan all my life. I have watched year after year as we start our season off with he west coast road trip of Doom. But what do they do this year? Our first 9 games are against western conference teams. Our first 9 Freakin games. What kind of sh*t is that. I have never heard of this happening before 9 straight games people!!!

Here are my top three worst problems for the team 1. Coaching-We should have kept Stotts!! Woody seems like a better fit for a veteran team who knows how to play the game. We have had some talent on this team and people tend to focus on what a player can't do (ie JT playing point) talent is talent and it is up to the coach to bring it all together and Woody can't do that right now. 2. Too many players that are playing out of position. I mean the purpose was to have long athletic players but in my opinion skillful players should be the priority. I mean so what if you are 6'8 but if you can't defend, shoot, or rebound you might as well be 4'8. 3. We have no identity as a team. Billy Knight said that he wanted a Sacremento-Dallas type team that can run and score but yet he hires a defensive minded coach who can from a team that barely cracked 80 points some times. We might as well run, if you are going to lose you might as well look good doing it.

I agree somwhat but it is obvious that Chillz is the better of the two at SF. Let Smoove come off of the bench.

It didn't seem as though we run plays on offense or defense. It really seemed like we were playing 5 on 5 streetball. I mean as of today it appears that ZAZA is our best player. SMooth has all of a sudden become a finesse player and CHillz can't seem to find his niche. I have noticed that when he and Joe are in the game CHillz pretty much plays point guard. We have talent on this team but the coach is failing to bring it all together(at least not yet). We need a more experienced coach. A second year coach and a very young team just doesn't mix. I am not expecting a championship but these last two games have been a joke. I know that it has only been two games but it is obvious that we need to change our starting lineup ASAP. Based on the first two games this should be our starting lineup: JJ SAlim CHillZ AL ZAZA We would have two perimeter threats and two really good rebounders (CHillz and ZAZA) and a decent post player/mid range player in both Chillz and Harrington. This would give CHillz the best opportunity to get rebounds and get mid range shots that are comfortable for him. Our perimeter guys can dump the ball in the post and setup for their shot if it comes back out. Makes sense to me!!

I am telling you guys that without a doubt I can beat Erik Dampier and Stephen Hunter. Those are the two I know I can beat in a one on one game. I would have to get the ball first though!!! HA HA

You see none of the let's sign NENE crowd has come to defend us trying to sign the guy. They know the truth.

Some of you guys kill me on this board. Just because you hear NENE is on the block we need to trade half our team for him, for what may I ask. Nene hasn't shown any consistency since being in the league and has weight problems. Denver knows that he is garbage or they would not have signed Kenyon Martin for that max deal. 7 and 5 is what he is averaging for his career folks. We got 10 and 6 from chillz !!!We don't need an offensively minded center on this team. ZAZA is a much better player if you ask me. What is wrong with having a serviceable bigman how many allstar centers can you guys name. We need rebounds and defense. name one of our five best players that NENE is better than and the guy wants a max contract?? yeah right!!!!!!!!!

I like most of you figured that he did an above average job last season. I am not saying that SMitty won't do a good job but I felt that Grant Long was pretty good. Maybe they should have got rid of Bob Neil LOL!!!

I am going to say 6-4. Let's keep this alive so we can see who was the closest.

What title run where they talking about? Hell the Lakers probably will only win 10 0r 11 more games than us. Title run my ass!!

I am kind of mixed at having such a young team. If we end up being better this year that many of us expect and everyone steps up and we become a threat in the NBA how will be able to afford everyone, not that everyone will demand a max contract but we will have alot of guys whose contracts would be up at the sametime or within a year or two of each other. I think that that will end up being our biggest problem in the future. There is a serious chance that either Marvin, JC, or JSmoove may become max type players in the future. Our franchise depends on at least one of them becoming a player who could demand the max. I just don't want to become like the Clippers who seem to develop talent for other teams while they remain in the lottery.

What do we need now that we have a center and a point guard. Do we still need to trade AL? or trade him at the deadline. How much caproom do we have left?

Take the pressure off. I think that he took the pressure off of those guys.

Doesn't make since for Pistons seeing how they almost won the championship last season, but with the Heat and the Pacers getting considerably better they maybe feeling the heat because no one in the east can match up with Garnett. He will eat Jermaine O'neals lunch for sure IF THIS DEAL HAPPENS. Shaq'a presence in the east is really making everyone step up to the plate (except for the Hawks).

Why did this have to happen to us. We don't deserve this. Did you know that the Spurs have 61 owners and they have never had a big public problem like this. WHy us, why!!

I had the same feeling when the sign and trade was announced that we were being fleeced really bad. I want Joe Johnson on this team just as bad as anyone else but why give them so much when they were not going to keep him. Boris and one pick (preferably 2nd round) should have been enough. Belkin felt as if they were getting over on us and you guys know that they are. Even though I feel that we are giving too much up I still want the trade to go through. We are at a point where we are not respected by anyone and that hopefully this is the only time we get hoodwinked like this but this trade must go through by any means necessary. The only problem I have with Belkin is that he isn't looking at the big picture. Yes we are getting screwed but you take the hit this one time because it is worth it.

There goes another guy that we could have used and he wouldn't cost that much. He will sign for 4 years for 17 million dollars.
