Terrence Moore. Makes a living criticizing everyone.
My grandmother used to have a saying: "They wouldn't be happy if you gave them the world and put a fence around it."

I WONDER IF PETER VESCEY AND THE N.Y. POST GOT THIS. K.M.A.
-
You gotta wonder if Salim would also figure into a trade for a pg, center or pick. I think he'd bring a decent first rounder.
-
Vescey is little more than a whome monger when it comes to scraping up dirt. Disgusting.
-
Smoove is a lot more flashy where Marvin does the little things that are not as noticable. Give him a year and he'll be able to step into multiple roles for us. Gonna be exciting to watch all of them mature through the end of the year.
-
He is quietly maturing into a well rounded player. Looks like he will be a sound player for many years. Definately a stallwart defensively. Earlier this year I wanted to trade him . . . but I have definately changed my mind.
-
He's definately got the body to withstand the pounding. I;d like to see how he would do, but it's doubtful.
-
Would live to see him go to Detroit. Interview with their coach before the game today focused on how many minutes their starts play and needing to reduce that number. Enter Tony DelK?
-
The s.o.b. is just making living. Like Stan Kasten's comment about talk radia. Kick 'em when they are down. Kick 'em again.
-
This will be a make it or break it episone with the Hawks. But truth be known, he'd fit in real well with a West coast team. Run and gun. We could get a first round for him.
-
David aldridge on TNT said that the Bulls came in at the last second and offered any of their bigs other than Chandler. None of these players are what I would call 'must have,' not to mention that there contracts would not be ideal.
-
Murdock (Fox's owner) is a business man and fairly agressive. To get into the market down here, it wouldn't surprise me that he would want to have more Hawks games on. For my sake, I hope that is true because my satelite has not had the PAX games on.
By the way, I thought your idea of trading for Jackie Butler was a good one. Isn't he a FA this summer. I think he could be a Ben Wallace type.

DELK RUMORS: Hawks co-captain Al Harrington isn't the only player on the roster whose name is being bantered about as the trade deadline approaches. Veteran point guard Tony Delk could be in play before Thursday afternoon if a deal can be struck.
The teams most often mentioned include Miami and Cleveland, which are in need of veteran help in the backcourt and an expiring contract, both of which Delk would provide.
The Hawks could also decide to buy out Delk's contract, allowing him to sign with elsewhere for the remainder of the season.
This raises the questions again of Doleak being traded for Delk. I'd love to see Varejo be a Hawk, but that's probably a fat chance. Given that he hasn't played, anything would be a plus.

Al Harrington

IS THE FUTURE NOW?
With the trade deadline in two days, Al Harrington's (3) name has been frequently mentioned as a possible candidate to move to another team.
Guess all that speculation that Sekou had some inside info about a trade was just that, speculation. Looks like the AJC lays an egg again.
-
I am very interested to see Sekou's response to this rumor. Should hear something soon. But it is for sure that BK is not going to give the AJC any inside info.
But, the way that Al has been playing the past 5-6 games, he has passively been telling us he doesn't want to stay in Atl. Emotionally he has been disconnected, unless of course, he is hurt.

If BK wants to play defense, the NY deal may be the way to go. Jackie Butler is a stud and could turn into a Ben Wallace! Crawford also fits that mold. I was bummed when Butler didn't come to camp with us, but would love to see him in the post with Zaza.
I'd also consider trading Salim for Jarret Jack.
-
I'm not sure I believe the Chicago paper. What if it leaked the story in hopes that it would give the Bulls a better position to trade for Al? I don't think that is beneath them. And they have the money to resign him this summer.
I'd be surprised if BK didn't have something in mind. Going back to Al's check up on his knees, it's all part of the steps that have to be taken to get a deal done.

I agree it was a set up. Last year Smith was the new kid on the block so they could brag that the dunk contest was back. He was set up to lose. He didn't help himself . . . but it was good to see the little fellow win.
-
How about these deals:
1. Lue and Delk to Detroit for Cato.
2. Trade our second round pick to Nets for Planic.
Fill two positions without giving away any significant resources.
Planic's numbers are not impressive, but he plays behind Kidd. Next to JJ he could blossom.
Kato is a huge guy that could change the make up of our team inside. Any takers?

We should be so lucky.
Never happen.

Harrington heading on?
By Sekou Smith | Tuesday, February 14, 2006, 03:50 PM
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Well, the games have officially begun. Expect the rumors and speculation about Al Harrington’s future with the Hawks to heat up considerably in the next week. Harrington, who is struggling with a nasty case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot, had an MRI on his knee and ankle here in LA Monday. He said he’s fine and that there is no cause for concern. But already the drama has kicked into high gear. Another NBA writer emailed me to let me know that he heard Harrington has a knee problem and that’s why he had it checked out. Not true.
If a team is asking a guy to have his knee checked out, and he was asked by the Hawks to have the tests, I’d imagine that’s a precautionary measure to make sure he’ll pass a physical if they’re intending to move him. This of course, is just me doing my part to contribute to the rumor and speculation. And Hawks coach Mike Woodson would say only that Harrington was having the tests, not why. But it’s a logical assumption at this stage of the game.
Harrington, however, assured me late Monday night that he’s fine. Stay tuned because with the Feb. 23 trade deadline fast approaching and all the NBA brass that’ll be in Houston this weekend for the All-Star festivities, I’d expect the real chatter between decision makers to heat up. That doesn’t mean anything will get done, but wait and see.

From what I've heard, Salim is the one who has been on meds. Article last year in S.I. said he was obsessive compulsive. Cleaned his apartment every day. NBA life would be pretty hard as a result.
