  1. to me the biggest difference is that we KNOW Acie sucks on our team but don't know it yet with Teague.

i don't KNOW that...but what i DO know is woody sux so don't hold your breath on teague.

  2. the moves we made so far smell like mediocrity to me. some things we'll need to get to 2nd round again:

    --healthy squad (duh)

--crawford to play enough to allow rest for bibby and jj

--marvin re-signed and a chip on his shoulder

    --smoove sticking to his strengths

--horford more aggressive/bigger arsenal in the paint

    --RUN WOODY RUN

i was actually hoping we didn't re-sign zaza (even though i like his game). we need more of a post presence on both ends off the bench and i think zaza is limited considering the money he will make.

  3. The thing that worried me about Acie before his rookie season was his shot. His mechanics on his J looked strange to me in college.

When i went to a game in person and watched him shoot my fear was confirmed. His 3 pt shot is a total knuckleball. If i got in a shooting contest with him i would beat him easily. I wouldn't even need to practice.

i agree his shot was not pretty coming in as a rookie, but i thought this past season it was much improved.

  4. The biggest difference is Teague is excited to be here. Law on the other hand from day 1 I never got the impression he was excited to be here. Horford was very excited to be here from day 1. The Hawks were bad at the time excuse doesn't work.

i remember acie being excited to be here. he just got stuck in that pile of crap salim left behind in the doghouse. even when acie got his 2 minutes of run he still had that crap stuck to his shoes.

  5. Those two and realgm.com

ugh. these sites are so frustrating. one night kobe is "going to play in Europe"; next morning he's "headed to the Knicks"; after lunch he's "signing a lengthy extension with the Lakers".

i prefer to just read the breaking news articles and brush off the rumors. seems like the biggest and best deals come out of nowhere. realgm updates their headlines frequently.

  6. Watch he turns into Chauncey Billups all of a sudden.

it's very possible. he has improved his shooting and showed he can break down the defense without getting much burn here. one thing Woodrow is great at--killing the confidence of a young player. with Nellie he will put up solid numbers.

  7. Pittsburgh's Sam Young could easily fit into Woody's system

I agree they would work well together...in the NBDL.

This thread is laughable. Marvin is getting severely underrated on this board. Just because he's not a "me first" ball hog looking to do it all doesn't mean he can't play. Take those bs stats and shove them upinya and actually watch a game for once. Marvin is the real deal on both ends of the court--duck butt and all. He'd average 20+ PPG if we ran "iso Marv". We'd be foolish not to re-sign him.

  8. Remember when we could have traded the #3 and #11 pick for Amare?

Was that ever a real deal that we screwed up or what?

We can still do it...in a way: Al/Speedy/Mo for Amare

    Hawks/Suns trade

I know this isn't likely (salaries?) but i'd like to sign a few of these guys instead of Bibby n Zaza. Here's my (uptempo) wish list:

    Felton/Acie/Ivey

    JJ/Flip/Rio

    Marvin/Barnes/Moon

    Smoove/Bass/Solo

    Amare/Gortat/Morris

  9. this was not the refs and i want the magic to win. nelson should not be getting minutes right now when skip and aj are available. why mess with chemistry? nelson is not in game shape...he clearly struggles on both ends. he pretty much ran into kobe's elbow as kobe was passing...should have double teamed sooner or just stayed on fish. dwight can't hit a free throw or even finish inside unless he's open for a dunk. turnovers and poor perimeter coverage down the stretch will not get you a win.

  10. The rim clearly started moving when Gasol touched it before the ball came down. Anyone who has ever played basketball anywhere knows how hard it is for a ball to go in when the dam rim is vibrating. Also wtf is JJ Reddick doing in the 4th quarter of the finals much less ot?

i'm with you...on both of your points. he touched the net and rim.

    redickulous.
