despite some bad calls orlando should have won this game. with 1 second left and a 6'1" guard inbounding, how do you NOT have a jumping-jack giant to guard that inbound pass? that should be a given every time...make that pass difficult. lewis was completely ineffective guarding nobody at the 3 pt line waiting to jump on an open man. then whoever was guarding pavlovic chased him to nearly halfcourt. that's 2 useless defenders in a catch-n-shoot situation, with 3+ of the 5 seconds to inbound used up. also pietrus should have been on LBJ instead of turk.

it was way too easy for LBJ...but clutch anyway. at least SVG owned up to his mistake after the game. the little things...

they didnt even have this in their highlights.

i agree...lawson is a true pg with lightning speed/penetrating ability and has improved his jump shot. he'd be a steal if he falls to us.

Smith isn't coached at all and is still a productive offensive player. I just can't get rid of a player with so much potential for an average center like Kaman. If Smith is traded for a clear upgrade, then yes, I'll deal him.

People always want to bash Smith for taking jumpers, but most of the time, that's the best option. It's either Smith take an open jumper or JJ/Flip go ISO and take a very tough shot (and also shoot low percentage), or post up with Zaza/Horford which never works.

i'm not ready to trade Smoove either...but i gotta stick up for Horford. he just doesn't get many touches being the last option in our "one-on-one" offense. when we run, he runs the floor great and plays well. granted he needs some work in the halfcourt but still, he is capable of scoring more than what we've seen.

The Hawks stopped the Cavs and had a 4 on 2 break going but the refs broke it up to call a shot clock violation of the Cavs, despite the fact that we were just starting a 4 on 2 break.

i know what you are saying. only thing is i've seen similar calls around the league all season. that is one rule i would like to see changed or at least cleared up...teams are getting punished for playing good defense.

Better than Jordan??? You have to be kidding me. The NBA was much better in the 80s and 90s. The difference now is the game is officiated toward perimeter players. I wouldn't even put lebron in top 10 yet as a player. Is he talented yes but until lebron wins 6 rings im not giving him that. Right now in the nba the closest talent we have is Kobe! The point im making is Jordan was leading the bulls to wins agaisnt great players and great teams. I think this game shows that Woody has lost this team. Woody kept telling them to drive (Which is correct) And Bibby, JJ, Smoove said screw it and chucked up jumpers.

clearly even if woody is right players aren't responding which means it is passed time for him to go. he has no credibility with them--youngs or vets.

LBJ has improved alot in a year...and i'm not giving all the credit to friggin mo williams. i don't like espn either but LBJ has it all. with that said we are not near as bad as we look in our losses these playoffs.

JJ got into it a bit with delonte and showed some emotion. if he always had that mean streak and chip on his shoulder (more than 2 minutes) he could get us somewhere.

the Hawks either have to get Ben Gordon through free agency and/or draft a point guard who can impact games in his first year.

Honestly, LBJ is the best player in the NBA. Even if he didn't get the calls, he'd still be dominating. I guess it's time to realize that the guy wearing 23 for the wine and gold really is our generation's Jordan.

He is already better than Jordan. I despise the star treatment he gets but Jordan got the same...for at least a decade. LBJ would still dominate OFFENSIVELY without the calls. However when he is getting away with murder out there the Cavs are untouchable.

Unfortunately I think our players give up when things (calls) repeatedly go against us game after game...year after year...morale is way too low, way too often. We need an Extreme Makeover.
