  1. This is the way that i feel. I look who's on the rosters of NY, Indy, Cavs, Boston compared to 3 years ago. Some how they were able to make moves to improve despite it being so incredibly difficult. Yeah lots of teams are crappy but there arent' that many who are legitmately trying to be good for 3 years and failing so badly. Am I happy we're not the Hornets, Wash, Utah. Yeah i suppose but that doesn't make me feel good. Anyway, i'm definitely hoping for changes and investment.
  2. I agree with all that except I'd hang on to Bogi unless we get a lot back and honestly i'd hang on to OO unless we get a lot back. I think he can be a good starter next to JJ which we didn't get to see much of. I'd trade Murray though. I just don't see the point of Murray especially when you got Kobe waiting in the wings.
  3. I guess the simplier way to say it is the plan was sign an all-star PF that is obviously needed to get out of the play in or do nothing and just play out the season. We also could have traded for OG at the deadline. We had just as good a package and by then we knew how good JJ was. Now supposedly there was behind the scenes agent drama to get him to NY only so i'll concede i have no idea if there was some kind of roadblock that we couldn't get past. It's possible but still baffling to me we didn't make a run at him.
  4. The question is why were we targeting him? Because we obviously knew we needed another high level player and they needed to be a frontcourt player. But we already had JJ. He would have been coming off the bench obviously because he hadn't really proven that he was an NBA starter yet. So when the Siakam deal fell through our backup plan was ....start the backup, don't sign anyone else to back him up. I don't see how that's a sign of good team building.
  5. Well wouldn't mind seeing one of those teams stomp OKC and BOS but you run the risk of some 'lucky breaks'
  6. That's definitely true but none of us have any say. This just proves the point that the org has been incompetent. I don't see where there is really any argument that the Hawks are 'doing all they can' to field a competitive team. Here are the teams with lower payroll than us. They all have something in common except for Orlando who similarly have struck gold on rookie contracts.
  7. We can trade players for other players rather then just waiting to salary dump them when they have no value.
  8. You're acting like we can't do anything but keep our own players.
  9. Agree 100%. I'm all in on Nuggets. Fine with Twolves too. It's a bummer they have to face each other in the semis
  10. Plus they gave up a bit to get Bojan (bummer he got hurt) and Burks only to not have them or use them in the playoffs
  11. No i'm advocating for replacing their production with something. Well....only if we want to win. Here's the 11 biggest minutes from the ECF run (this doesn't even include OO who only played 10 a game) 2 years later Kevin, Cam Gallo, Solo, Snell, Lou all gone replaced with DJ, Bey, Griffin, Aaron Holiday. Does that seem like improvement in the roster. The absolute truth is we have we are 77-87 since we added our "second all star" player. We were 84-70 the two years before.
  12. Pacers had the luckiest dang first round matchup. Bucks w/o Giannis. Geez louise. There's literally no one to root for in the east except Cleveland. Come on Cleveland!
  13. It's crazy by itself but when you look that Hartenstein and Robinson basically split the center minutes, Mcbride was the only sub used for all four other guys and for a total of 9 minutes.
  14. I'm pretty torn on KD. I don't know if he's really a winning player at this point but it would be a big swing that's for sure Getting some draft picks in those other trades would be nice. I don't like the shooting ability for any of those guys those other than maybe d*ck. Can he defend?
