  1. The guy is a JJ basher. He will always find a way to make Joe look bad even if it means using inaccurate stats to back his claim. The only thing JJ has below average is 3pt shooting and he's been very good from there lately.
  2. The guy you qouted is right. Teams do live and die with their best player when it comes down to the wire.
  3. I disagree completely. The Hawks can afford for any one guy to have a bad night but not 3 freaking starters. Hell, even if Marvin or Bibby played average the Hawks win. Some of you are giving Smoove way more credit for the team's turnaround than he actually deserves. The only area of his game that's improved is shot selection. He's averaging 15(51%fg) and 8 this year an15.6(49%fg) and 7 last year. His production is almost the same as last year. The bench (and taking care of the ball) is by far the biggest reason for the turnaround IMO.

    Joe Johnson

I agree but you have some idiots on here who bash the guy everytime he has a bad shooting game. The criticism>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>praise and it should be more balanced
  5. You can't seriously be this stupid. The reason smith isn't drove on as much by smaller guard is because he's not asked guard them. He gets abused when goes up against guys like dirk who can put the ball on the floor
  6. It's obvious you're a Joe hater so your opinion doesn't really matter much. Joe's a much better defender than you give him credit for.
  7. I agree with you on rebounds. JJ's fg% isn't reall that bad. Hell, he shot 50 against the knicks and Atl still lost. Defense is rebounding is the key to the hawks having a REALLY good season
  8. You can also say those two back to back 6-18 games hurt his fg%. You can't take away his good shooting nights without taking out his bad shooting nights. The truth is JJ has shot the ball well outside of the three. Most of his 3's are wide open shots and eventually he'll make or stop taking them hopefully. What do you think JJ's fg% would be if he was shooting 38% from the 3 instead of 28%?
  9. I don't think he'll leave Atlanta to play for a team like NY. I see him in a Dallas or Cleveland uniform next year if he wants to play for a title contender.
  10. I don't think JJ's coming back after this year.
  11. Hotlanta, JJ is shooting .444 from the field despite hitting only 1 of his last 17 three point attempts and shooting 28%. I'd be shocked if he continues to shoot that way from the 3 all year. JJ is only struggling with his 3 point shot not his overall shooting.
  12. I swear some of you idiots don't know much about basketball.

    HAHAHAHAHA

Smith and Horford doesn't have a low post game so if they're not getting easy baskets(put backs and transition) the hawks are all perimeter. The Hawks will remain a joke until they get a real low post player. You can't have two guys with no offense.
  14. Damn guys, the hawks are winning so stop complaining about everything.
  15. If his goal is to win a championship, I wouldn't blame him if he went somewhere like Cleveland or Dallas. If he goes to New York for more money, that would be really selfish.
  16. Too bad the trade deadline comes before the playoff.
  17. It will take near max or maybe even max money to keep him if he continue to play the way he's playing. It wouldn't be smart to trade him while the team is playing so well, BUT if ownership isn't prepared to pay close to the max they have no other choice. Atlanta isn't a playoff team next year if Joe walks for nothing.
  18. It's against the board rules to criticize Horford or Smith.
  19. That's not true. Marion was never the type of player who had plays ran for him. he got most of his points on fast breaks and put backs(kinda like Smith) with a few jumpshots here and there. Nash game was centered on passing and getting his teammates easy shot although he could score the ball. Joe was more like the 2nd guy behind Amare.
  20. The hawks are suffering from not having a good pg and a coach who's clueless when it comes to offense. This leads to JJ holding the ball and going one on one. This didn't happen when he was at Phoenix because he had a very good pg and offensive minded coach. I'd like to see him dribbling less and coming off screens and posting up more. He's good in the post but rarely utilize that part of his game. Looking at his stats, his fg% isn't bad at 46% and could be alot higher if his 3 point shot starts falling again. Stats on the year 23ppg on 46% 5.6 rebounds 4.8 assist 86% on FT's 32% on 3ptrs 2.8 TO'S Obviously he needs to raise his 3pt% and lower his TO's but he hasn't played nearly as bad some here criticize him for (mainly his shooting).
  21. The guy started off 3-10 and finished 10-21. Had he simply stopped shooting the ball after the bad start, the hawks would have lost. He rarely shoots 30 times in a game and most likely wouldn't have this game if the team didn't trail the whole game.
  22. Why do you guys keep saying JJ took too many shots? If Joe would have stopped shooting the ball after the 1st 3qtrs Atlanta would have lost. He did what he was supposed to do. At the end of games, teams usually do or die with their best player.
  23. JJ just can't win with some of you guys.

    Why we lost...

I think most hawks fan see it the same way other than the JS fans. Good post
