  1. So sitting here right now, running on the limited information we have...What would you guess we end up signing Smoove for...Years and amount please
  2. Quote: Quote: So, you're making excuses for us....winning....? Wow, you are an awesome fan!! Sounds like you really want us to win! More than you do. My "rooting" starts with the tipoff and ends with the buzzer. The rest of the time I am a critical thinker. You dig? We started last year in much the same fashion. How did that end up? Wile you are enjoying the ride, I'm worrying about who is flying the plane and if the hydraulics work. I think we have definitely started off more impressively this year even though we are 2-2 compared to 4-1...We have had a much tougher schedule, and have proven we can play with, AND BEAT absolutely anyone. Woody has these guys playing with great passion, and as a team we are playing ABOVE OUR HEADS...That is what a good coach should do...Have your players playing their hardest and above their talent (I'm talking *ready* talent...not potential talent). Wait to criticize him until we start consistently losing to teams we should beat.

  4. Quote: Quote: We've now beaten the two best teams in the West to start off the year....Let's quit the Woody bashing until it's merited. Having one of the 5 worst records in coaching history doesn't merit bashing? We're 4 games in and we've already lost one we shouldn't have. I'm as happy as the next guy, but Amare was not playing and we barely won. What if he had played, and well? We would be sitting at 1-3 with Boston on the horizon. I'm a realist. I saw many good things last night. I also saw many of the same old problems. How on earth can you [censored] and moan after we just beat the 2 best teams in the NBA last year?? And lost to the #2 team in the EC by 1 point AWAY. Woody has these guys playing above their heads...Enjoy it and quit bitching.
  5. Quote: Should Chillz be starting over Marvin? If you watched last nights game, Chillz was one of the main reasons we were even in the game.

  7. Where in my post did I say I would be against signing him?
  8. I have faith Woody can get us to the playoffs.
  9. More than anyone I have ever seen in my life. "Yi is the best player in this draft"..."no..wait...Horford is the best player in the draft"..."no...wait...The hawks NEED to draft Noah!! Anything else is stupid!!!" Do you ever actually analyze players abilties?? Or do you just mindlessly listen to espn.com.
  10. I pointed out at the beginning of my post that he does have a few very productive games, mixed in with WAY too many awful ones.
  11. Yes, lets go ahead and get out of the way that I am grateful for the way he played vs. the Mavericks and that awesome game winning shot he had against the Nets last year. Aside from those two games, I truly believe having Lue in the game for an extended period of time really, really hurts this team. He thinks he is such a better player than he is...He is such a freaking ball hog for a point guard...We need someone who will penetrate and distribute the ball...Not some slow footed PG that will drive to the basket and either throw up a bad lay up, or stop and take an off balance shot...IT IS OK TO PASS THE BALL!!! And don't even get me started on his defense...He is literally the WORST defensive PG in the league...Absolutely awful...His inability to play defense and efficiently distribute the ball really hurt us, particularly when he's in at the end of the game. I don't care if Acie Law is a rookie, why was he not in for the entire last part of the game??? Sorry for the rant to all the "Lue Fans"...But I am really getting fed up with him. He'll have a GREAT game about 1 out of every 10 times...Then again when you hog the ball and take all those shots, you're bound to get lucky a few times...
  12. I expect Woody to prove a lot of people wrong this year. He gets a bad rap because he was put into an awful situation. With the level of talent on his teams, could any coach have really won more than 13, 26, then 30 (with an injury ravaged team) games?? We have been the youngest team in the NBA the past three years...How are we supposed to win like that?? I am one of the few that thinks Woody is a fine coach...We have slightly overachieved on our record every year he's been here, except maybe last year, and that was due to injuries.
  13. I wish I could have been there!! I would love to hear from the people that were there when they get home.
  14. I just saw Sekou said that he's going to have it "wrapped for the forseeable future"...Which hand is it on, and I guess I'm just wondering how worried we should be about this. Obviously, I REALLY hope it does not affect him too much.
  15. I don't even have class today, but I woke up at 5:45 this morning and have been doing nothing but thinking about the game!! Many probably will not give us a chance to beat the Mavs, but wouldn't it be sweet to just whoop that ass and give the few people in the media who have been building us up (Hollinger) some more ammo to get a good rep for us out there? I, like most here I'm sure, am jacked up for this game!! And If I had enough money for tickets and gas, I'd be there to cheer them on...For all of you that are going to the game, BE LOUD!!! Here's to hoping for a great start to a season that isn't over after just 82 games!!
  16. I can't think of any other "big name" player out there that's available. Seems like weird timing to come out with something like this...I would have expected this in the offseason, but 2 days before the season starts??? Strange... Kobe is the only one that comes to mind for me. I would have to figure JJ would have to be included in the deal, though. Plus, as I've heard, Kobe wouldn't want to come here anyways. What do yall think??
  17. Dang man, how the heck many of those were against the Bulls??? Particularly at the beginning!
  18. Taking such great notes and sharing them!!!
  19. Please do it if they let you and make sure to let us know about it!
  20. Quote: Before long, they will be begging teams to trade for him. Begging teams to trade for a kid who is one of the best 2 or 3 centers in the league at the age of 22??? What kind of crack are you smoking?? They are going to hold onto him for as long as they can. Honestly, I think the only player in the ENTIRE league you trade him for straight up right now is LeBron James. If we offered JJ they would laugh at us and hang up.
  21. Quote: Drafting Marvin over Chris Paul set this franchise back 5 years??
  22. Quote: I'm not going to believe it until I see it. For the most time, in preseason, teams are a lot more careful. They rest their best players (like we did today). They take injuries (even little ones) far more heavier and cautiously play players. They search for good rotations without really respecting the score or the flow of the game. For that reason, I can't put a lot into a winning record during preseason. And even with all your excuses, 87.5% of teams that have a 75% win % or better in the pre-season goes to the playoffs that year. Ignore it if you want, but that is a staggering number.
  23. Quote: Over the past 6 years, 21 of the 24 teams that had a 75% win % or higher in pre-season made the playoffs...One of the 3 that didn't was the Rockets when McGrady and Yao were both injured for a big chunk of the year. Do you really not see any correlation there?
