  5. Knicks forward Al Harrington doesn't see it happening, and he's not in the minority. With each passing day, as the Knicks disgrace themselves and the Cavaliers march to their potential first NBA championship, the Knicks' chances of free-agent glory in landing LeBron James this summer gets more remote. James makes one final trip to the area tonight, facing the Nets at the Meadowlands. "A lot of teams would love to have him and the Knicks are one of them," Harrington told The Post in the visiting locker room at Quicken Loans Arena Monday night. AP HOME BODY: LeBron James slams home two of his 22 points Monday night during his Cavs' 124-93 annihilation of the Knicks. see more Videos "But if he's as loyal as he says, I would think it's very hard for him to leave, especially because he's home. "If it was a different city, maybe not as much a connection, but at the end of the day, he generates every single thing for this whole state. It would be tough for him to make that decision to leave." LEBRON CHANGING NUMBER The buzz of the Tracy McGrady cap-clearing trades has vanished, and evidence is building, not in what James says, but in what he doesn't say. After Monday's Knick embarrassment against the Cavaliers, when they fell behind by 49 points, James found it inappropriate to address a question regarding the Knicks' new cap situation, in which he could bring along a star companion such as Chris Bosh. James clung to his mid-November policy of not talking about his free-agent options, but he has left enough hints to New York fans that the Knicks' bid is a longshot. In his lone appearance at the Garden, Nov. 6, James said in strong terms the only factor is whether he can win at his new destination. At All-Star weekend, he reiterated, "It's all about winning." And Monday night, when asked if he could join a team that doesn't care about defense, James said he's never played on any basketball team in his career where defense wasn't considered the No. 1 priority. Defense is not considered No. 1 in Mike D'Antoni's speedball universe. Even James' buddies -- and Nike -- are in the dark on his intentions. McGrady, who considers James a friend, said Monday, "I don't know what that kid is thinking. His own circle doesn't know." Knicks president Donnie Walsh has touted the Knicks' cap space to divert the pain of two pathetic seasons. Yet he has tried to lower LeBron expectations. When asked about James recently, Walsh said on WFAN, "It's very difficult to get a guy to come out of his hometown if he's had success there." Team sources indicated D'Antoni would be very pleased to add overshadowed free agent Joe Johnson as a fallback. D'Antoni thinks Johnson is a great piece to build around. But Johnson, the potential re-signing of David Lee and another mid-level free agent, does not put the Knicks in position to compete for a championship. marc.berman@nypost.com Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/lebron_hope_fading_JIc4lL89xwssNtop3rM9AL#ixzz0h9t3skWW
  6. Lets be honest , If i was a celebrity then i would be sleeping or already banged Beyonce,Halle Berry, Jessica Simpson, Megan Fox, Vida Guerrara, Esther Baxter, Gabrielle Union, Keri Hilson, Rihanna and Eva Longoria. but unfortunatly im not.
  7. The only reason we seem fast is because of Smith. Bibby doesn't push the ball. There is a reason josh dribbles the ball down court BECAUSE HE IS TRYING TO PUSH THE TEMPO! usually he makes good decisions 8/10 times
  8. the replay is about to show on espn2. i may not watch in strait thru cause i don't want to watch to much and get mad.
  9. Woodson must have thought he was phil jackson by not calling timeout.
  10. I didn't watch the game tonight cause i was busy but it seems as though i shouldn't watch the game. Seems like woodson got outcoached BADLY! JJ wasnt effective in 4th and overtime, Kidd and Haywood WAXED Bibby and Horfords *ss. Marvin should of played down the stretch and Smith had a really good game. Oh, we also blew a 13 point lead AGAIN in the 4th. This team needs to get its s*** together. Woodson is an Dumby. Edit: Just saw it on espn sportscenter. Kidd and Dirk was ballin. Woody was on the floor. I hope this proves woodson is and bad coach.
  11. he better than marion. its mvp most VALUABLE player not PLAYER WHO IS THE BEST SCORER ON A TEAM WHO WENT TO 4 ALL STAR GAMES.
  12. I don't know bout that. but he is our MVP but not our BEST player. Is he our 2nd? obviously but not our 1st Speaking of JJ. In terms of playoffs, please don't use he was doubled and tripled team as an excuse for his mediocre playoffs last year because you think your defending him but its really a diss rather than excuse.
  13. I don't want to start a new thread so im gonna post in here. Fans are saying we may have tampered. http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=990354
  14. should he be the starter at some point before the playoffs and bring marvin off the bench? simple question
  15. If we lose Joe then we have to get a star back somehow. If we trade horf or smoove and bring in a star to replace Joe then that does NOT make us a better team. We need to package Marvin, Bibby, Mo and a draft pick for a star.
  16. somebody please explain what the hell a per is? i know what it stands for(player effiency rating) but someone explain to me clearly what it is and what is it based on.
  17. jamison and telfair went the the cavs, drew gooden to the clippers and ilgaskus to the wizards.
  18. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/basketball/celtics/view.bg?articleid=1233407&format=&page=2&listingType=celt#articleFull Under the sun Allen wasn’t the only NBA player to spend the All-Star break in the Bahamas. Rasheed Wallace was among the others. “We could have had some great pickup games,” Sheed said. “There was me, Ray, Jameer Nelson, Rudy Gay, the cat (Marcin) Gortat from Orlando, the big head dude from Atlanta.” Huh? “The big head dude. You know who I’m talking about,” Wallace said. Zaza Pachulia? “Yeah, him. . . . There were about 15 or 16 guys down there,” he said.
  19. I am speechless. This was the WORST overall dunk contest EVER!! I seen Lebron and Smith do better in games. I seen better in a scat porno for crying out loud.
