  1. Zaza's not playing well since coming back from injury, but he needs a chance to adjust to his new role coming off the bench. If we want to get past the first round, I think Zaza's gonna have to be a valuable role player for us. He had some great games last year, and it wouldn't make since to trade him while he's not playing well and get less back than his true value.
  2. I'd imagine the Clippers would like to get a little more than out garbage.
  3. Trading it to Philadelphia would be a terrible idea with JS being a restricted FA.
  4. The nbaTV analysts talked about the Hawks 4 game win streak last night and how well JJ and JS have been playing.
  5. Zaza's looking to set the single game turnover record for a player coming off the bench.
  6. AJ is playing out of his mind. He looks like Mark Jackson back in the day, former Pacers PG that used to rack up the assists.
  7. is that 5 assists for AJ already?
  8. Quote: and the foul on Marvin when he just blew on Wade on that fade away. Never even touched him. This was the play I was referring to. Absolutely terrible.
  9. Quote: WTF was that play? Run the clock down so we don't get a 2 for 1 or a good shot? That decision was essentially a turnover.
  10. what is the p2p website to watch the game?
  11. Quote: Quote: Quote: Quote: Marvin was the consensus number 2 pick, meaning most NBA GMs would've likely made the same decision. Paul's shooting was a big question mark coming out of college. The only reason you are doing so now is because you want to hold on to the Chris Paul issue. You have simply been exposed. I supported BK's drafting of Marvin, and you accuse me of holding onto the Chris Paul issue. This makes me think you're an idiot. Man you guys are funny. So you can call me an idiot, but if I do the same you report me to Chilz. Huh? You've got the wrong person. Even so, you accuse me of being a hypocrite and claim to "expose me" (?) when you didn't comprehend my post, and then try to paint yourself as the victim by (once again) wrongfully accusing me. "Fiction can be fun, but I prefer the reference section!"

  13. Favre was traded in 1992. Unless nothing's happened in the last 15 years, why would a radio station still be bringing this up in any other context besides trivia? Marvin was the consensus number 2 pick, meaning most NBA GMs would've likely made the same decision. Paul's shooting was a big question mark coming out of college. Lastly, don't criticize hidden agendas when your poll is loaded with them.
  14. Quote: Chris Bosh Carmelo Anthony Chauncey Billups (arguable) Manu Ginobli (wash) Richard Jefferson Tony Parker Caron Butler Chris Kaman (arguable) Marcus Camby Steve Nash Carlos Boozer Lebron James Carmelo makes slightly more. Richard Jefferson- no Caron Butler- no Chris Kaman- no Marcus Camby- no Many of the players you named are underpaid. What about Antawn Jamison, Steve Francis, and Chris Webber? They all make significantly more than JJ. Michael Finley makes 21.7 million this year. When a player is overpaid, you don't have to convince other fans of it. A fringe all star making 13 million this season is not a bad salary. Joe Johnson's the 29th highest player in the league. Sounds about right. The Hawks aren't doing him any favors by paying him his market value.
  15. AJ is under appreciated. He moves the ball, can knock down the open jumper, and knows his limitations. He's not going to make big plays, but he's also not going to turn the over and holds his own out there. Lue is the one that kills us. Sometimes he can knock down a big shot, but in general he does a lot more harm than good. A 5'8 point guard who isn't especially quick shouldn't be draining the shot clock looking to set himself up.
  16. Quote: JJ will destroy Salim in a game of horse. Lue probably could do the same too. Salim shoots 5-9 one game, and 2-13 the next (Seattle game anyone?) I think you're 100% wrong. Salim has to take tougher outside shots than JJ. He's more of a one-dimensional player, so he'll get stuck facing tighter defenses. Plus JJ is about 7 inches taller so he gets better looks for that reason. To think that in an empty gym JJ could even come close to beating Salim in horse... JJ would have some 2-13 games as well if he was brought off the bench cold to go in there and be a spot up shooter. And- you obviously don't remember Salim's shooting in college.
  17. Quote: honestly, if that is true, its tough to understand, but that really is what the team should be doing. woody is terrible. it does seem bad that our guys would have a quit attitude, but something like the players tanking it could be what needs to happen for the owners to finally do what they should have done a year ago and fire woody. There is no way that anyone is tanking. If the players all had a problem with Woody, they wouldn't respond by tanking to get him fired because there's money at stake. All of them are trying to establish themselves and get a good deal when their rookie contracts expire. An exception is JJ, who complimented Woody on his coaching after the Minnesota game...so cross him off of consideration. If the players had a big enough problem with Woody to start intentionally playing badly, these problems would have already trickled through the front office and media. Those are more beneficial ways of expressing their issues that won't hurt their value.
  18. Quote: In your analysis of our players, I disagree that Horford is a good passer from the limited time I have seen so far. He is good at passing to the top of the key or weakside from the low post, however...just like Shaq used to find Derek Fisher or Rick Fox when he was being doubled. In the couple of Florida games I watched over the summer I saw Al do this a lot. I agree that the triangle offense takes awhile to get used to because I remember analysts making that claim when Phil Jackson brought it to LA. I don't understand why it does since it looks fairly simple. Found this link when I searched triangle offense in google. http://www.cybersportsusa.com/hooptactics/triangle.asp
  19. I think Shelden should have gotten some significant playing time. If Shelden's not given a chance to neutralize a guy like Ben Wallace (really the perfect match-up for Shelden- undersized, not an offensive threat, and his defense would be wasted on Shelden to a degree), then what's the point in ever playing him at all? I realize there isn't much love for Shelden around here, but him and Horford really are the two strongest rebounders we have. I can't recall if it was mostly long rebounds or not, but I wonder how a lineup of Horf, Shell, Chill, JJ, and Salim would've fared at some point during that game. Chill for the long rebounds, JJ and Salim for scoring, and Horf and Shell up front. All of this is hindsight, but it was still very obvious from the second quarter on that we were getting absolutely killed on the boards.
  20. Quote: You tell Cleveland to sign him to a 4 year 25 million contract He wants more $$ than that.
  21. Quote: Are you really arguing that Horford has benefitted more and gained more experience from 3 years of college than Jefferson has in the NBA??? Are you saying that if Jefferson went to college for three years, that he'd be a better player RIGHT NOW as a rookie than he is now?? I think if Louis Williams went to college for 3-4 years it would have set him up to have a better NBA career. Add Omar Cooke, Ousmaine Cisse (sp?), and Kwame Brown to that list. Every case is different. You can find an example to support either side.
  22. Quote: I think we have a big problem when one of our top 3 players seems to think that they are superior to any other team in this league. Nonsense. When did a little confidence become a bad thing?
