Kevin Martin is slaw. He is Corey Maggette lite. Yeah, he gets to the line. Yeah, he shoots a decent percentage. To do so he has to so discombobulate your offense that nobody else can function. And he is not an average defender or below average, he is one of the worst perimeter defenders in the league. He kills his team on both ends of the court while puffing up his stats. Avoid him at all costs. You'd be better off losing JJ for nothing or just a pick/Jared Jeffries.
Yep, it is called management throwing the guy they don't want to resign under the bus. Now the fans can "blame it on Joe". I always find it funny how players can take on an entirely different rep when management does not want to pay them. Now Joe is the cause of the locker room problems...funny stuff.
Can Marvin Williams play PF? Grizz fans (including me) were thinking about targeting him as a restricted free agent. Do you think the ASG would match a 5 year/$50 million offer sheet (11,10.5,10,9.5,9)?
You guys are a bunch of spoiled, over critical babies. Be careful of what you wish for baby. Team has improved every year under Woody without any major upgrades to the roster. You had freaking homecourt advantage in the playoffs, advanced and you are still complaining.
Maybe you need to pull up the old message board and see what you guys were used to talking about this time of the year. Lottery talk sucks, trust me.
Winning the trade has nothing to do with it. It is the fact that Belkin thought they were making a very bad decision and he was virtually powerless to stop it. Instead of allowing it to continue on his dime, he decided to figure a way out of it one way or another.
IMO it makes perfect sense. You are not looking at it from his perspective. If the ASG are going to blindly follow BK and he has no authority to stop them then either he has to get out or try to get the team. He also doesn't want to have to pay out his money for their mistakes especially for a noncompetitive team.
:computer8:
Hate to lose Price. He made such a difference in our PGs shooting. At least they got to work with him all summer. He will at the least help Acie Law. He also did wonders for Rudy Gay.
Was this sarcasm?
I am not sure what you guys were expecting from Marvin but IMO his development is right on track. If it were not for Paul/Williams, he would be considered a pretty good pick. :no-no:
I expect him to be at 17-18 ppg, 6rpg, 2 assists this season with a PER around 17.0.
