    This kid is clueless. Does he not realize he has a job and that even though the season is 9 months, you work all year around. While Deron Williams and Chris Paul lead the US agianst the world he is at UNC getting his degree. Are you kiddding me? I think this says a lot about his lack of passion. Al Horford needs to go up there and slap that bitch!

    I totally agree. We lost Childress but got back Maurice at a better value so I don't see it as bad except that we didn't get anything back for Childress.

    But they do need to address J. SMith. I am not sold on him being worth 12 million a year. He just isn't as consistent as I would like.

    You are right I need to go to a dumping on Marvin AA meeting. I actually saw a guy in Home Depot wearing a Marvin Williams jersey and it took all my inner strength to not ask him what the hell was wrong with him.

    I just can't get over it, I hate Marvins lack of game! It's all I think about all day long. I need counseling.

    So we've already had "The Human Highlight Film" and now we're working out "The Human Flight". I'd love to see a dunk off with him and JSmoove. I don't think we have a spot on our roster for him unless Mario or JRich isn't brought back though.

    James White looks great with 0 defenders.

    You would think we learned our lesson about evaluating talent based on 1 on none workouts with Marvin!

    Marvin's PER has improved a little bit in each of his first three years, from 12.24 his rookie year to 14.53 last year. Not much, but at least he's been improving. I've pretty much given up hope for him to do anything but maybe make an all-star team once or twice in his career at best (and that looks like wishful thinking at this point), but I'm still hoping he'll at least become a solid starter. His first two months last season were great - if he could stay at that level for an entire year he'd be a significant contributor. Unfortunately, for two months last season he was also horrendous, so who knows what the deal is with him.

    What are you smoking? The guys is an average player at best. I doubt he will ever be considered a very good player. I think his personality is just to laid back. Has a dumb a** grin on his face way to much after he makes a stupid mistake. The guy needs to play like his balls are on the chopping blocks. But I don't think he will ever have the passion of an Al Horford.

    He has had little chance to play since he's been in the league. HE was stuck on the NY bench and has not developed. If he works, he has some upside.

    How is Randolph Morris any better than Solomon Jones? And Solomon hasn't player for two years. Good grief, this is just the ASG filling out the roster at a cheap price. Morris is to slow. What a waste.

    Why is anybody surprised that the ASG would let Childress walk and they didn't want to pay him.

    They don't want to pay for a coach so we have Woodson.

    We have a ton of young players because they are cheaper.

    It's not how many games you win or lose, its all about the dollars and the bottom line.

    Think any decent coach, gm or player will come to the Hawks, think again. Joe Johnson got snowed but I bet is wises up when it is time for him to resign. I doubt he even talks to the ASG. I wouldn't blame him one bit.

    All evidence points to the fact that these Owners are stricly in it for the buck and to be able to tell the guys at the club they are part owners in the NBA.

    It's just business folks.

    That being said, I don't see how Jessican Simpson isn't around the top. If she gains 10 lbs. she's a tramp. Not my taste.

    I prefer white and asian women but Halle Berry, are you nuts. The woman is beatiful in so many movies I have seen. And Jada Pinket is also beautiful.

    How about Kristen Davis. I use to think she was cute but she has a nose that never ends.

    Seems like Paris Hilton girl belongs on the list.

    Josh Smith agent should call the Euroleagues as well. If Childress is worth 8 a year, Smith is worth 11 million +.

    This could start a nice trend of NBA players leaving for Europe.

    David Stern is a putz, you should have done something about the ASG when you had a chance. Now a wave of players may start leaving the NBA thanks to the weak link which is the ASG.

    You would think Josh Smith agent would get on the phone with the teams in Europe as well. If Childress is worth 8 a year, Smith has to be worth 11 million plus.

    How bout that, the Hawks lose both of them to the Euroleague, starting a new wave of NBA players leaving for Europe.

    Thank you David Stern, you schlep, you should have done something about ASG a long time ago. Would serve you right for this weak group to start to really cost the NBA.

    Regardless of how Childress shoots... It goes in more often than anyone else on the team. Period. Moreover, Exodus always wants to focus on what Chillz doesn't do, but he totally misses all the things he does do for the team. So, in actuallity, it's not a good point.

    Moreover, If you're so worried about 3 pt shooting, why do we still have a guy who only shot 10 three pters on the year starting at Sf? Don't talk to me about wanting better three point shooting and then try to convince me that we should keep Marvin over Chillz or Smoove.

    Childress value is that he gets a lot of offensive rebounds and puts the ball back in the hoop. The offense doesn't run through him so he gets points without taking away points from others. I don't want to lose him but it wouldn't be a terrible loss except he was drafted at 6 and we get nothing for him in return. For a 6th man, he is a good player, but 8 million a year for a 6th man? Seems a bit rich.

    I am a Hawks fan but I hate the ASG group.

    I guess I would be glad for Childress, he gets away from those morons and signs a very nice contract. Good grief, the ASG is cursed. If I it were me I would be inclinded to I sign a four year deal at 8 mill per year with options to get out at 2 years at my option. Then I could force the ASG group to trade me where I wanted to go.

    ASG sux and I will not buy a ticket till they are gone. Hell, most of the games are on tv anyway.

    It is an incredible group of talent Portland has put together. So talented and balanced. It is going to be interesting because youth rarely wins in the NBA. Maybe it's because of Salary structures. Can you imagine after the rookie contracts expire and Portland is faced with resigning. those 5. If they spend they money they should be tough to beat. Then a few veterans will sign with them for minimal contracts to try and win a ring.

    Amazing all the deals they have pulled over the last several years to put this team together. I hope Oden is able to come back from the injury. Seems like a great manchild.

    I was going to do the same but obviously that poster has the grass is greener syndrome so it would not have convinced him. Even if you pulled up the stats, he wouldn't accept them.

    Bibby the edge over their PG's. No way. Bayless was like pick 4 in the draft. You think Bibby is worth that. Come on.

    JJ over Roy, I will give you that one. But Roy is very strong and Roys' stats are just slightly less that JJ's. But JJ is better.

    Marvin over Martell? Not sure sure, Marvin is a spaz and can't shoot a 3pt shot. At least Webster can shoot the 3. Neither is so hot.

    PF, J. Smith over Aldredge. Can you say homer, J. Smith isn't even a true PF, and can't shoot well enough for the SF position. I would take Aldridge, easy.

    Center- I love Horford and their are questions of Oden's health but Oden has a chance to be special. Oden is a true center. But I don't see Al overtaking Oden yet. I could be wrong.

    Bench...Hawks have little Portland has a lot.

    Portland was 500 in the west, Hawks 5 games under .500 in the East. Without Oden.

    I don't see us anywhere near the trailblazers.
