  1. Usually when you fix something you do it for better things. If it was ratings in this case, they don't go to try to set up one of the least watched finals ever intentionally. Radmanovic's travel was ridiculous though but it didn't change the outcome thankfully
  2. Loved it. Typo at about 2:50 "threw out the playoffs" but otherwise it's awesome!

    JJ's ride

Quote: Hey man thats his money he earned it. We shouldn't be trying to tell him how to live his life. His money, earned it, can spend it how he wants. It's just I wouldn't buy the same thing in his situation, and if it was, it'd be for show and not for regular usage (which I assume/hope is the same for his car)
  4. I'd use it more as a blanket term to include ability to make decisions, ability to plan, run a set offense, etc.
  5. NEW YORK, May 13, 2008 – Kevin Durant of the Seattle SuperSonics and Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks headline a talented group of rookies named to the 2007-08 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Team, the NBA announced today. Horford, the only player unanimously voted to the 2007-08 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie Team, finished with 58. Durant, winner of the 2007-08 T-Mobile Rookie of the Year award, received a total of 57 votes. Rest of the team was Scola, Thornton and Green http://www.nba.com/news/all_rookie_080513.html
  6. Quote: Quote: He can take over games at will, JJ can't. I agree that McGrady is better, but who was the one who couldn't buy a field goal in the 4th quarters all postseason and who was the one who dropped 20 and "took over" the game? McGrady still scored 40pts on the Jazz. I'd put T-Mac NOW similar to Johnson now, T-Mac old would definitely get it. Also if Arenas wasn't injured, would people put him higher up on the list?
  7. Quote: To me he is the closing thing to a True(talented) PG that is available for the Hawks. We have the pieces to get him and he is like a young Steve Nash. We need a true PG for the betterment of Horford and Joe which is our core. I like Acie but I quickly learned once Al became the future that we need to make changes and fast because we have our cornerstone. He is not Paul or Deron but he is a future stud, without doubt. Memphis is willing to trade him if they draft Rose or we offer J. Smith. Not the Smith is a even swap, but we can get two future 1st rounders for Smith as well like the Knicks recieved for E. Curry. Just a thought... Nah, the only way I'd do a deal with Memphis involving Smith is Smith + Bibby for Conley + Gay + picks which wouldn't happen. I like the deal in the other thread after reading more into it about Marvin to Minnesota for McCants and Brewer.
  8. To be honest, I'd take Horford. It's harder to find someone that dominant at that age, who has as much experience as he has from 2 college champs. Obviously Paul and Roy are good players but sucking in those drafts allowed us to get Horford. If we had Paul we'd be good, but nothing really inside. Roy we'd still be out of the playoffs but he'd still probably score 20 a night. With Horford you can have a talented PG who won't be an All Star but still do very well, just like Howard/Jameer Nelson
  9. Just because I haven't really heard about it, what is up with the Hawks owners? I've heard things around about lawsuits etc, but I've never been able to find anything to read up on the situation.
  10. I say we wait for him. He may not develop to be a Chris Paul-esque PG but he should still be a quality one that can support our team. Also, it'd take some miracle + Horford to get Arenas away from Washington
  11. I'd fire Knight for the bad bad bad bad bad bad bad drafts. Actually only one was horrible (Shelden), Marvin wasn't the best we could've gotten out of it but in reality it wasn't a total waste. I'd keep Woodson for a season but on a short leash - with a few goals for him to fulfill if he wanted to keep his job - say a .500+ record and giving the bench players some more minutes.
  12. For the Bucks, it was clearing Redds contract, moving Williams and Redd out (from what I've read, they're disliked, so assume that) and Bibby is only there for the expiring contract. He'd be let go, they'd have more room. They won't win a championship with Redd, Bogut, Yi and whoever. They'd basically be constantly grasping at a playoff spot but never being able to get there without somehow trading Redd for Kobe Bryant and Gasol (which obviously won't happen), or getting rid of them and building for another few years from scratch.
  13. Yeah unless you can find an irrefutable quote from pre-2005 there's a big chance it's made up. Besides, if we took Paul we wouldn't suck enough to get the high pick for Roy. I still can't believe how well Portland have done in the draft the past 2 seasons.
  14. I don't want Martin either. Never really liked the player to be honest, but mostly because of his contract. Nene has been injured 156% of the time, and just came back from cancer surgery/rehab/not sure, but he had cancer and now he's working back into things. In Milwaukee he'd have a shot at recouperating (sp) slower, instead of being rushed into championship mode. Another thing I didn't honestly think of about this trade is defence - Redd apparently sucks and Camby is only good for blocks and rebounds
